There was a guy I friendzoned years back, and we were doing very fine after that.
Recently we had to build a website for an arm of the company where I work and I recommended him to do the job, he was very grateful and he also introduced us to some of his clients which were of great benefits to the company, he won't also hesitate to call me if any other big opportunity shows up for me in future. Lets say I didn't friendzone him I will have forgotten him and all those beautiful things wouldn't have happen.

I will rather choose to friendzone a guy than to loose him(thats my opinion), I believe in future benefits.

Of course you love their company but I'd disagree on the "keeping friends with the opposite sex is a bad idea" part, people are different quite honestly and you'd be surprised how many guys can remain friends with you for long periods and not demand sex.

I've known my best friend since we were in the same class in primary4, also went to the same university together and not once has the issue of sex ever come up between us, we're literally siblings from different parents, and there is absolutely nothing we hide from each other,spent numerous weekends, days at each others place and nothing has ever happened we're that close people tend to think we're dating, I'm good pals with the bf and they've been together for years now, really i could go on and on

Basically like i said its all about self control and valuing your friendships with one another but hey different strokes for different folks i guess

So i'm talking from experience too.

Hence i said it takes all sorts of self control especially on the side of the guy it's not easy trust me but once you able to convince yourself that your friendship is worth preserving then it'd be hard to want to follow on such feelings.

Note to young guys out there, do not let any lady/girl set unrealistic targets for you, things are fricking hard at the moment and as long as your folks are not chasing you away, pls stay and save as much as you can jare at least until you ready, whatever kinda lifestyle you enjoyed in your Uni days ended the day you graduated, its the norm in the "real" world....
