Politics is also a game of number, the assertion the person posited was wrong and i gave clear example, in politics there is no permanent friend or foe, so the 'grassroot politicians' will always swing to the side that is favourable for them.
Alot of Politicians have lost election at their ward level so to assume someone is a grassroot puller when evidence is showing otherwise is not okay.

The problem with most so-called good girls is that they love bad men. I guess that's why marriage doesn't come easy to them. But you don't need to be good or bad to be settled in life, you just need to date accordingly. A "good girl" friend of mine is married to a pastor & they seem happy from the outside. The thing is, we're all viewing these things from the outside, but we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. It's not over until it's over. Meaning, those marriages could end due to irreconcilable differences, long term. Some people are just not fit for marriage & someone always ends up miserable in those unholy unions. I've watched many marriages fall apart because a leopard can't change its spots, making endings inevitable over time. So don't feel left out because someone got hitched before you did because you don't know the fate of their marriage. Just hope that you'll meet a suitable match & that your own marriage will stand the test of time. Honestly these days, very few marriages are enviable. They're mostly marriages of convenience where one or both parties are secretly unfulfilled.

At least five women and children died on Saturday in a stampede when cash and clothes were handed out to thousands of displaced people in Borno, militia and local people told AFP.

A large crowd surged forward for the government aid distribution and people were trampled under foot in the town of Gamboru, near the Cameroon border, a region hit by jihadist violence.

“Five dead bodies, four women and a little girl, were brought to the hospital along with seven injured,” a medical source said at the hospital.


“We learned that (other) bodies were identified and claimed by relations from the scene,” the source added without specifying how many.

However, Umar Kachalla, who heads a local anti-jihadist militia force, said: “There was a crush which led to the death of 12 women and children and left seven with severe injuries.”

Some of the dead were taken to hospital and others claimed at the site of the stampede, he added.
Thousands of women had gathered at a primary school for handouts of 5,000 nairas (13 dollars) and clothing supplied by Borno state governor Babagana Umara Zulum.

“There was a stampede as the distribution was about to start,” in the morning, said local resident Yahaya Bukar, who also counted 12 dead.

Gamboru, a border trading hub, has been repeatedly targeted by Boko Haram insurgents since August 2014 when the jihadists seized the town along with nearby Ngala.


Nigerian soldiers re-took both places a year later with the help of Chadian troops after a series of offensives that lasted months.

Residents returned to both towns but some 70,000 live in squalid camps at Gamboru and rely on food aid from international charities.
Fourteen people died on Friday and 15 were badly hurt in a blaze in the town’s main camp.

The insurrection has killed 36,000 people and displaced 1.8 million from their homes in the northeast. The violence has spread to neighbouring Niger, Chad and Cameroon.

Funny. This is politics to you, not to me. So many lives lost that could’ve been prevented. When the dust settles, many blame to go around, anyone that says Trump is completely blameless is not dealing in reality. There’s no reason why healthcare professionals should use trash bags as PPE or why there were limited ventilators, why there were no tests.

Edo State has joined the list of states in Nigeria with discharged coronavirus patients as the state government announced the release of five patients who tested negative for the disease.

The state governor, Godwin Obaseki made the announcement via his twitter handle on Friday.

Obaseki tweeted: “I am pleased to announce that 5 of the confirmed cases in #EdoState have now tested negative twice for #Covid_19. They have thus been discharged.

“This bolsters our resolve to defeat this common enemy, as we roll out more measures to check the spread of #Covid_19.”

Edo now joins the likes of Oyo, Lagos, Enugu, Rivers, FCT, amongst others, to have discharged COVID-19 patients in the country.
