Hello house, is anyone experiencing slow speed on starlink.. My speed has dropped to about 20mbps lately, i contact support for days now no response.

Did you move the Starlink?

20Mbps speed is caused by one of two things.
1. Severe obstruction
2. Wrong address

To fix the above try
1. Log into the app and check that you don't have Obstructions. If you do, you have to reposition your Starlink. Roof is recommended and you shouldn't have taller buildings than your around.

2. Log into the app and make sure your Address / Location on the Map is correct. But DO NOT mess with this if you aren't sure. Only do this if the location on the Map is incorrect. As the warning below shows, if you make a mistake, you may not be able to fix it. I also recommend doing this on a computer instead of phone. Again, be careful when changing Address. Cheers.

VERY IMPORTANT!

When you get your Starlink tracking number, call DHL on this number 0803 907 7000 and make sure you update the details on the shipment. You can also do it on the DHL Express app.

This is very important. I know 3 people that had 1 week extra delay because of wrong address / no phone number on the package.

The problem also is that Starlink USA ships it to Starlink Nigeria and uses your name as Care/Of C/O. So please make sure you contact DHL and update your information with them IMMEDIATELY you get your tracking number.

I was driving when I got my tracking number, I parked and called DHL Lmao. Me I no like story at all! And I got my item very quickly, the DHL guy even told me it's good I called because they wrote rubbish on they package.

You can even tell them to just hold it at a DHL office especially the one at the airport so you can go and pick it up yourself. But note that because it was shipped to Starlink Nigeria and your name used as C/O, ONLY YOU can pick it up personally. Nobody else but ONLY YOU in person with your ID of course. Sometimes this is simpler than allowing them to try to deliver and making mistake up and down. Lol my guys went through this but then they never did the information update that I talked about earlier. 1 week after e reach Lagos them never see Starlink and they are all in Lagos. Meanwhile I got mine same day lol.

Also, if you haven't bought your Starlink yet, I'll say wait. It's been messing up recently. Not sure what exactly is going on maybe because raining season is coming. I don't even know. Experience hasn't been great recently but maybe it's a temporary thing. We'll see.

All you have to do is log into your account and change your address. It's not portability or roaming it's just Change of Address.

It takes 20 mins for it to disconnect you from the cell at your old address and reconnect you to the new address. And if your old cell was full, Starlink can now sell/ship to someone new in that area. So no guarantee of you connecting again in that location because the space has been given to someone else. That's how it works. Cheers.

By the way, here's what the Starlink Ethernet adaptor looks like. I have it hooked up to a TP-Link Deco X55 Mesh system to help cover 3 floors.

Ping is around 30 - 60ms. Mostly around the 40+ range. I used to get 4-6ms on FibreOne. But those ones can go days without internet. So yeah!

Lol you go see am download. The problem with Starlink is the ping is high mostly and rain too dey disturb am. Just exercise patience abeg. Just like eveey other thing wey dey shark person, e go come, you go use am, you go tire. Normal level. But yh, i get that waiting isn't fun. Hopefully you get your Dishy soon

Please I sent a package through NIPOST(EMS) on the January 9 2023 to USA and till now item is yet to be received am only able to track the item on nipost portal and they keep telling me the sender will receive it

I ordered on 9th Feb and my order shipped on the 23rd Feb. I received and activated it on 27th Feb. on 8th March, i received mail about the next month's payment..well, they said they send such mails a week ahead, today is 15th now... my dollar card hasn't ben debited.

i want clarification abeg... since I paid for 1 month subscription when ordering, will i have to pay again when i've not used it up to a month?

To be honest, there's still alot of question marks around this part. My guy has not been able to renew subscription for his own as the dollar card on his account went missing and every other card he has tried to add to his account didn't work.
He tried
- New dollar card from Standard Chartered
- Gotok
- Payday
- Grey
- My Providus Bank Card
- My GT Bank Credit Card

Nothing worked.

So, safe to say the problem is from Starlink. Anyways, his own subscription Suppose don expire since as na 31st January he order and till now it's still working and he hasn't been able to pay.

All that said, check the invoices on your Starlink account to have a better understanding of what your payment periods are. See mine below.

- Automatic Payment Reminder on 4th of March
- Payment Period is for March 4th to April 3rd
- Actual Payment Debited on the 11th Of March

I'll start when my studio space is ready. Assembling and disassembling equipment all the time is tiring. When you build set finish, you don already tire.

Starlink has been good. 7.5/10 maybe. Upload speed isn't great and rain does affect it. All in all, I still rather use it than anything else considering everything including subscription price and unlimited data. I don't play games anymore. Man don old, I dey find money. But I hear the ping is very similar to MTN, so there's that.

Guys, when can I be expecting this one like this now? Tracking number ends in R.

Manual renewal does not work. Just leave at least $43 on the card and allow it to renew automatically whenever it likes. There's usually a date. Mine is today lol. 11th
