I have some dollar in payoneer account. Should I request for payoneer Mastercard and use to buy things from AliExpress

Or

I should create dorm account and collect dollar card then transfer the dollar from the payoneer account to dorm account and be using?

Please, Which is the better alternative?

- Getting a Payoneer card normally takes like 1/2 months.
- If you want it quickly, you have to pay $40 for DHL shipping
- Withdrawing Payoneer to NG USD Dorm account costs 2%
- Withdrawing Payoneer to US USD account (like Payday) is 1.5 USD
- You can then fund your virtual payday card with the money.

Well! Consider all the moving parts. Choice is yours. Godspeed.

80% of buyers here used PayDay. Please are you Ogas torrenting on your Starlink?

They seem to be one of the best around. Wanted to use Grey on AliExpress yesterday and found out that Payday was actually better. Ended up using PayDay on AliExpress. Worked perfectly fine.

I may have downloaded a torrent. Why do you ask?

It is not a paid advert, it is what I used and I am only trying to share my opinion. You should just respect other's opinions rather than force yours down their throat. Chipper, Payday and probably Gotok are options to explore, but I used Cardify. If that's not pleasing to your ears, stay off my submission.

it's pleasing boss

They are not accepting Nigerian Mastercard, i will suggest you get a dollar card you can use, i used the Cardify virtual dollar card to get mine

SeoTaJin:
For purchasing that kind of product, a naira debit card may not be accepted. I suggest you use a virtual dollar card. I made use of the Cardify Virtual Dollar Card though.

Last 2 replies look like advert. Don't use any Cardify lol.

Payday is the best. They are even recommended on Starlink website.

- Payday
- Chippercash
- Gotok

It's what i recommend. Anything else, you are on your own. Lol

Hey man
How do I place order for starlink

I've been trying to order from the website with my master card but it keeps declining?
Pls what can I do

If it's a Naira MasterCard, it won't work.
If it's a Dollar MasterCard, i have heard stories of people saying they have been unable to order. About 2 people said they only debited $43 instead of $600 and I think one of them is in this thread..

Back to if you were using a Naira MasterCard, it won't work. What you have to do is use apps like Payday, Chipper or Gotok to place the order.

Note: The actual amount is $600 which is approx 600 x 750 = 450,000 and not the 270K or so they show on their website

First, how did you check it on cloud?
Is it just by going to same app while using another network when you are away from home?

Yeah, we at the extreme borders of Nigeria should have less satellites hovering over us for us to connect too. Being in cities, I guess you can easily move from one satellite to another without hassles on network. That haven't been my experience, but not complaining since starlink is only means of Internet where I am. No mtn, glo or nothing.

Yes, I just opened the Starlink app and I can check on my Starlink exactly like I'm not away.

Yeah. Starlink is basically designed for people without access to internet. Sadly, being on the outskirts doesn't help. From what I learnt, you can be connected to a different satellite in as little as 5 mins. Hopefully they expand to Benin Republic soon and you get more satellites. Keep us updated. Thanks

Wow!
And look at me convinced that outages are normal on starlink. I get lots of them on mine every 2-3 mins, but not complaining. Good to know there are places you can get seemless service without a second of outage.

Where are you located?
I'm in a bush in Niger state near Benin rep. Maybe that's why mine is bad

I was today years old when I found out that I can check on my Starlink even when I'm not at home.

Screenshot 1: Checking my Starlink via cloud from 28km away.
Screenshot 2: Normal Obstruction data. Flying bird is an obstruction, planes too. Anything that comes between your roof and the satellite are obstructions. Even if na Kite. Hence, anything 1s or less isn't really an issue.
Screenshot 3: 0.1s to 1.99s Obstructions. Basically negligible.
Screenshot 4: 2s+ Obstructions. None. So! Basically running at optimal condition.

Starlink is supposed work optimally anywhere you are but yeah, I'm guessing they'll be more Satellites over Lagos more than Abuja than anyother states. Plus, I'm not surprised to see that it's not working great close to the boarders of the country. So yh.

Well it’s clear you’re gonna need the Ethernet adapter for your DUPLEX. You’ll need to connect it to a small 4 port switch (30k) and run cable downstairs to your setup box. Or you can get a wifi extender and plug the cable downstairs to it to extend the wifi signal if your setup box has wifi.
Starlink says the wifi coverage of the router is quite good so it should be fine for your DUPLEX. Unless it’s also a very big DUPLEX, in which case you should have bragged about that too. If your DUPLEX is indeed quite large, wifi extenders or an additional access point is the way to go. People who live in DUPLEXES tend to hire professionals for these things though. I’m a professional by the way. I have a lot of experience with big DUPLEXES.

Nothing concern living anywhere with doing things yourself. I like doing things with my hands. If you stay abroad you'll appreciate doing things yourself. Handyman $100 per hour. Even if na 1 nail e come nak for wall.

Bro, u no gree pass message.. Na yab u just yab me for your response

I had to put the duplex thingy for u to know my Dilemma

Now, if u can simplify your response with zero emphasis on the duplex.. I will be glad

Lol the range on the Starlink router isn't that great. I'm moving to a 3-floor Terrace soon and I have gotten myself a mesh system. Got a Dual Band one. A Triband one one is better but I will only do most of my heavy usage in my office and that's where the router will be. So! No need.

Order the LAN cable from Starlink shop. I bought mine on Amazon and will get it next week. I don't have energy to wait 2-4 weeks for Starlink

Please I want to find out when the amount ($600) for the kit will be deducted. I had placed order since on 24th February. Only the subscription fee of $42.16 was deducted. The kits have not shipped and $600 has not been deducted from my card. Do I have to make a separate order for the Kits?

Someone told me something like this happened to hia friend. I've forgotten who tho, I'll try and remember. I think you should look for a way to contact Starlink customer care. That said, what does your Starlink account statement show the payment is for? Because that's actually the EXACT subscription fee they charge. Does it show in the receipt (in starlink account) that it's a down payment or it's subscription? Eitherway it is weird.

Contrary to what some people believe, a lot of Nigerians are ordering Starlink. In fact, the day mine was delivered, there were 6 other Starlink in the DHL delivery van, plus some other Starlink accessories.

Lol I ordered the LAN Cable accessory but in US because I'll need it for my Mesh system

The main reason I got mine was that 27 ISP's I contacted don't have any service in my area at all. Bro Even 50mbs is enough for me.

I wasn't gonna get Starlink. I was fine on FibreOne. 65 Down 65 Up. Works perfectly. Till dey kept me offline for almost 3 days. After they had kept me offline previously for over 16 hours. I had enough.

As I'm typing this, I can hear wind blowing like rain wants to fall and I already know my Starlink will soon start misbehaving. PAINNN!!!
