Inverter ACs work well if the installation is done well, service regularly and use the original gas. It's so cold in my room right now, I had to even increase the temperature to 22 degrees.

That's my current usage 506W and it includes
- 1.5HP LG inverter AC (L1 Power mode @ 22C)
- 565L Hisense fridge (double door)
- 90L Hisense fridge (small room fridge)
- Starlink (Dish + Router)
- 3 Deco X55 mesh routers
- 4 Security cameras & DVR

My brother, inverter ACs work well, just need to get the right technician to install and service it. I gave out my 1HP & 1.5HP inverter ACs a few years ago because "they weren't working well", till today the people I gave them to are enjoying it lol. The technician I had then wanted to kee me. I later had to spend money to buy the same ACs i gave out again. LMAO!

I will continue to advocate for inverter ACs infact LG inverter ACs to be specific because me I don't want to have an AC i won't want to turn on because I'm worried about my light bill. That and, I run this particular AC in my room 24/7 on my solar panels / batteries. Ire oh!

Quick questions guys. Has anybody canceled their starlink service maybe because you will be away for a while or perhaps you dont have subscription money to pay for that month and then after a while you reactivated your service . How easy was it for you to reactivate the service please. I am considering canceling my subscription for just some time as I really haven’t been using the service to its full potential. More like I am just giving starlink free money😅 and I want to stop the service for now. But I am also skeptical as to how easy it will be to get back to using the service. I live in an area where there isnt much people using starlink so we are nor at full capacity yet and wont be at full capacity anytime soon sef but then again will it be easy to get back. Has anybody done this before?

I would advice not to because e get as their matter be. However, if your area isn't at capacity... It helps.

How about the dollar card ? Do they still accept payment in USD

They gave everybody 1 month free internet while they resolve the naira card issue. Till next month before we have to pay again.

I think it’s time to update my billing to my naija debit card now, 38k monthly charges will now be withdrawn from my naija card. Starlink have started processing payments in naira, that’s good.

Yeah. Except for now, you can't add naira card with ease. Apparently, they are still working on that.

I am not angry, on contrary I am having quite a pleasant week, thank you.
You can do whatever you wish with what you own.
"Sha don't be using it anyhow if you don't need it", seems like an absurd statement. Although you have mentioned that your phrasing was intentional, I don't know if you meant to jest. However, you doubled down on your statement that the mentality is to blame.

Why are you gatekeeping the usage? You are not the service provider, if he decides to only stream his media and download just for fun or share his wifi password with his street, duh.

If I pay a million naira for my internet, and I decide to share a screenshot to pepper people of how I am living large. Please, please, you aren't one to preach to me if I need to be that exorbitant, my ISP will notify me.

Okay

And why not create your own thread?

Make person use almost half a meter to buy internet equipment. Make him still dey thread softly? Na wa o

This mentality is the problem. If he paid 50K or 100K is that now reason for him to "thread softly"? My phrasing is intentional but I understand that fuel is 500 naira and everybody is just looking for what to be angry at.

Not because you paid 1million for internet means you should download a 100GB file you do not need or even want sef lol.

WHAT'S THE POINT?! Because you paid 400K?
Phones / Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by Stanley08(m): 5:03am On Jun 11, 2023
dustmalik:

I don't understand what you mean by using it anyhow. I paid 400k plus for the hardware and paying 32k monthly, soon to be 38k, and you want to tell me how to use it?

Bros, what I said is VERY CLEAR. If what you need is 10TB then by all means use 10TB.

I didn't say when you want to use it, you should not use it. No need to start listing how much you paid or didn't pay. Many ISPs have fair usage policy for a reason.

I'm not telling you how to use it. Use what you need. Not because it's "Unlimited" then it means even what you don't need you download 'just because'. What if Starlink has a 'hidden' cap or somehow you get deprioritized?

No need for aggression big bros. If you need 100TB, use 100TB. My phrasing is intentional.

If after what I have explained, you still don't see it from where I stand, I am sorry. I apologize. Use however you wish. Ma binu. Na me fok up.

I think I prefer to stick with the dollar payment too. The problem is, in the absence of an option to choose between USD and Naira, if the payment is quoted in naira and you use a USD card, you'll probably be charged like $44.5 or so for that 32k payment

Yep. You'll pay more. Currency conversion charges.

@dustmalik it worked 😅

Initial test was 200Mbps+ but rain never stop since then. I never see pass 70/80Mbps since that yesterday morning.

Anyways it works sha. Using like this. The installation was so tidious. Baba climb water tank, then climb across 2 buildings. A whole thing.

I paid for one month IPTV subscription today from the link posted here. It's working so far but it's not worth it in my opinion. Most of the interesting shows don't stream. It will just be writing playback error. I think I will stick to streaming movies and series from websites like net naija

If it's that 3K own from those twoone people, I'm inclined to agree that it's kinda trash. Glad I didn't pay 1 year own. Error up and down.

FibreOne has been a lifesaver for me since I moved to Gbagada. Approximately 12k pere and I'm not worried about any FUP, Data caps or Speed throttling. There are days when speed can be slow or they have downtimes, but that happens less than 5% in a month.

FibreOne, when it works it works. When it doesn't... Na tears. Can't forgive those guys for keeping me offline for 60hrs mhen. After alot of dragging and pestering. They added 2days to my expiry date. After it expired in February.

That was the end. I got Starlink.

It should work. My current service address is about 8km from my actual address and totally outside of my Starlink hexagonal area, and it works fine. I had to use the service address because my hexagonal area has reached capacity.

Just make sure to use the nearest service address to your actual physical address, outside of your hexagonal area, and it will work.

I have done that already, just haven't been able to get someone to climb the roof. No roof access so it's a bit tricky. Should get someone by tomorrow tho.

Also, thanks for the info, I had hope that it would work, but just wasn't sure.
