@Mercythrone,radiantochi,jamanuka,busdebbie,dongreat,chaymastic....,there are different forms of CommonWealth scholarship(partly funded,fully funded etc),first you have to know which one you want to apply for,then you check the list of schools participating in the scholarship and the eligible courses(note that not all courses are eligible for scholarship).

A nominating agency is just an organization that serves as an intermediary between you and the CommonWealth scholarship board e.g ministry of Education,a Uk organization,the school you are applying to etc...applicants are not allowed to forward their application directly to the scholarship board hence the need for a nominating agency,and as the name implies"nominating" they are the ones who nominate you for the said scholarship.

Just download the guidelines and you'll be fine.


In case of any question(which I doubt if there will be any after downloading and reading the applicant's guide) I'll be here to answer to the best of my knowledge.

CommonWealth scholarship is a very prestigious one and competitive,brace up,have 24hrs internet access and have faith.

(b) What's the best method for applying: dropping my CV at a branch or sending it via their email? (c) If I'm to submit at a branch, can it be at any of their branches or at their regional offices only? Again, will submitting only the CV do or I will need to include a cover letter and my credentials? (d) I am confused about selecting a location if I am to apply via email; can I choose any state of the federation or just Lagos, Abuja or Portharcourt (cos these are the only cities I see people here talking about) I would appreciate a prompt response. Glory be to God, I got my offer letter mail this morning 10th August. I was first contacted for an assessment test on July 1st at Walter Carrington and today its all testimony. I want to encourage everyone here to be hopeful and pray more, yours too will come in Jesus name. requiring me to complete application forms and submit b4 5pm tomorrow aug 6.What
i dont really understand in the mail is this, am i to take the filled forms and credentials
to their v. I office or just scan the forms and send it to the mail provided? . Please those who
have gone past this stage should help me out, i tried the numbers for enquiry abt its
not going tru.

If you are within Lagos, fill in the form and submit at the office (no need of scanning anything); if you are outside Lagos, call the number that was attached to the form for instructions. All the best.

And i hv also bn called for interview at access bank throught them n it ws successful. am waiting for induction for almost two months nw no show yet. please advice me. shld i still go for the ICS Talent Bank? i am in Delta state. Yes. I'm a 9 month old contract staff. I did test in march, interview/exco chat in June and went for medicals on July 3rd. Does it mean that the July 27th training is for only contract staffs who had passed to medical stage alone?

As a serving NYSC member (Batch C), I forwarded my CV to Stanbic IBTC Bank to apply as a graduate trainee in the financial institution couple of weeks ago. I got an assessment invitation recently to show up for aptitude test (it is my first) slated for a particular date. One of the documents required to be brought to the test center is NYSC discharge certificate which I do not have until I'm discharged in October.
Fellow compatriots and nairalanders, I need your candid advice on this. Should I go for the test without the certificate or I should just forget about it?

Hello guys, i remember being in this position not too long ago with a lot of questions and few answers.. So i will quickly put u through based on my experience There are 3 interviews before medicals.. Sometimes phycometric test is omitted, but all must pass through the third interview with an excecutive director before being called for medical(i.e if the interview is successful) i guess you all have to wait for Ed to come to your region before you think of medicals.
There is no fixed time interval for progressing to another level of the interview. It took me over 100 days from first invite before reaching the ED stage(election break Inclusive), some spent over 160 days, while some used only 14 days to complete the whole process before getting to Medicals.. So just be calm and don't think you have been forgotten. At training school, all you need is obedience and hardwork, spare the those days and be very compliant both in attitude and in your studies. You did meet a lot of wonderful people. Finally, at the work place, which is whr i am now, just strive for excellence (which by God's grace) is the passion that reverberates within.

Ac is in 3 stages if u cud go thru d thread u wud get more info. There would b a critical reasoning exercise errytn on it would be on shapes,if u post ur Email I cud send some practice questions to enable you have an idea. The one on one exercise is an interview,jst b confident, give a firm smile and make sure you give reasonable answers on questions asked. Why KPMG, tell us about urself and all. The next would be grp exercise, contribute meaningfully, be a good team player, don't be rude. Jst be urself all thru, u wud b fine. Wish I d best.
