Hello all, how long does it take for ICAN to process an application and issue a student's registration number? I intend writing the November diet but I'm yet to get a guarantor for my application; can I still meet up for the exam? Thanks.

Hello, more tax inclined questions. Read on the latest developments of tax...something about the 2016 budget. Current FIRS chairman. Calculations on personal income tax..its flexible tho..you could be lucky to only personal questions are asked about you..also they could ask direct tax questions especially in relation to current economy and general tax questions :types, examples of indirect tax and so on. Good luck. Just be yourself and be bold.

Hello. How can I apply for a graduate position at AWD?

Sometime in December 2015, i submitted my CV to one of the branches of UBA Bank and Diamond Bank in Enugu State due to my interest in working in the Bank. I just received a message now in my phone which states "You are invited for a Banking Interview on 1/2/2016 by 10 am at 21 Nome Drive Beside Zenith Bank Nowas junction Trans Ekulu Enugu state. Come with CV and passsport". I was hoping that the messenger's name would be the name of the bank i applied for but instead, i saw Workforce Banking Interview. Please, have anybody here received this message before ? Did anybody know about this workforce? Your response will be highly appreciated

You may have applied to workforce, just think back. Workforce management centre recruits for banks, no doubt, but I don't think UBA or Diamond bank is among their clients.

By the way, which branch of Diamond bank did you drop your CV at?

bro..i think since u have already have a good Bsc, all u need is a certification like ICAN, ACCA or CFA if u want a career in accounting/finance to start with(for entry level),...then along the line (with years of experience) u can acquire an MSC or MBA.
................................................................

infact without ICAN, ACCA or CFA, you can't be a "charted" accountant or "chartered" financial analyst as the case may be.

I would also advice u visit jarushub . com, one of the best site on career advice,he's also on nairaland as jarus meet him for advice.

Thanks. Will check out the jarushub.com

MSc finance and MBA are hot cake in Unilag. I didn't say you can't be admitted ooo. Check the requirements and study hard. I mean really hard. Why not consider MSc actuarial science. With B.Sc in Mathematics and MSc Actuarial, you will be fine.

Thanks for the advise, but I will still give the Msc Finance a shot. One more thing, need I write a new SSCE? The one I am using now has just science subjects and I didn't credit Economics in it. Thanks once again.

Good evening house. Please I need advices. I have a B.sc in Mathematics but passionate about the finance/accounting world. I would love to upgrade my qualifications to suit my passion but I'm confused on the path to toe. Should I go for an MBA or an Msc (finance)? With a 2:1 (Mathematics) and a few months post-NYSC working experience, will I be offered admission into any of these programmes? Thanks...

Wat u ask 4 is not an easy task @ all. Am having d same problem wit u and 4 dis problem 2 b solved there are certain procedure 2 follow. The first step is dat u will go back 2 ur secondary school and collect letter 4rm ur school 4 d correction of the mistake and after dat u will obtain a bank draft of 10,000 naira 4rm any bank, after dis u will nw make photocopy of ur printout, ur original certificate and the bank draft and submit all dis document 2 waec office. The worst part of the issue is that, it will take up to 6 months before the mistake can be corrected.

Hello Awoladek. Please, I would like to know how long it eventually took for your corrected certificate to be returned. While it was with WAEC, were you issued any form of proof that the certificate was undergoing corrections? Also, was the letter from your principal sent through you or your school? Thanks for your time and anticipated prompt response.

not entirely true sir.
maybe your branch, Hop and branch head are weird persons, but my branch where i worked, it was a very interesting experience for all of us there. One big happy family....not as bad as you paint up here. Yes i was a GA and my opinions were always asked for every tuesday and Wednesdays. Even maintenance, transport , disptach nd security guys had a say at meetings.
for the one year and 4 months i worked with zenith, i was on atm duty for only one month, and yes i wasnt forced to accept that extra work, infact we pray to be on atm duty,..less work, more pay....atleast u are paid for the extra days.
even if u get all B in your appraisals which come every six months, you will still get your plus if its yours.
the job is not the best out there if i must say the truth, but its faaaaaaaaaaar better than most jobs out there.
it all boils down to the branch head, HOP, and cash officers, some are very level headed and nice....some are just trashy.

...you were a GA...what does GA stand for please? And does Zenith bank ever recruit entry level except on contract? Thanks.

You are invited for a banking interview with Workforce on Monday 23/11/15 by 10:00AM @21 Nome Drive, beside Zenith Bank, Nowas Junction, Trans-Ekulu. Enugu. Come along with an updated CV and a passport photograph.
Tho I am expecting a msg from them cos I passed their assessment, but I chose Lagos...dnt knw if it's for the graduate trainee cos they would av stated dt also..Also suspecting that all dese scams are using their name due to d fact dt de are currently recruiting

Workforce regularly recruit support staff for many organisations. Your present invitation is entirely different from the graduate trainee recruitment. Do honour the invitation if you are disposed.

What the strength test wants to really check is your skills in terms of leadership, teamwork, good judgment and others. When confronted with questions, always think of how it will affect the organization, your team and taking responsibility. Questions like: If a junior colleague approaches you for assistance on a particular task and you have loads of work on your hand, what will you do? Tell him you are busy, he should come back? Tell him to approach others because you are busy? Or find out little time from your busy schedule and assist him as quickly as you can and tell him to go ahead but you will join him once you are through with your work? I will go for the last option if I am to select an option. This shows you can help others and at the same time handle pressure at work. smiley

Thanks a lot. I appreciate.

The assessment doesn't particularly have correct answers IMO but in each question there are usually one or 2 options that stick out as stuff you wouldn't do unless u had no choice. So aim for the least correct first then arrange the other options as u best see them. It's not hard to pass and it's not timed. Good luck

thanks dear. I appreciate.

Did the assessment yesterday and got a success email with my strengths highlighted and another email saying next steps and then a video interview link which I have also completed. 10 questions were asked:
Project done in school in which you are proud of, great mistake made and what you learnt from it, characteristics that you possess that has made you achieve this much till date, how you feel helping others, decision made when confronted with client relationship amidst hectic work schedule, how you recently communicated to a superior to resolve of a situation, working with people of different opinions/ideas

Hello. Please, can you help with tips on how to scale through the strength test. I seem not to be good in handling strength assesment questions.
