Was in this position 2 yrs ago, had a MTN job and an admission from UIUC,took d UIUC option and neva regretted it.IN so far as u r a smart guy u wud always get a top class job in america. You cannot be a good programmer if u knw only one language. Some tasks suit some languages while others suit other languages for e.g if u r writing a program where speed is critical ur best bet is C÷÷ relative to java, did interviews wit Google and d 1st tin dey tested was my ability to code in several languages b4 delving into algorithms. dat is not a normal challenge with your studs above waist level. the bone of contention is the intent of d player and the rules dont include the intent of the player meaning whether intentional or not once u make a dangerous play dat can cause injuries and dere is contact the ref can give a red card. Present 9ja jobs don't require real expertise so foreign degrees are not needed. Wen my friends tell me wot dey do in mobil and co anyone can do it. Bottomline dose with foreign degrees suld wait till wen d 9ja mrkt matures b4 repatriating.

The problem with 9ja is dere r few jobs that require expertise, its either u r implementing a solution or operating a machine. even the mtn's ,shell,mobil its all the same no real expertise. The experts are in USA and co design solutions and all the 9ja worker is doing is implementation ,9ja is not an industrialized country and unfortunately big companies dont invest in 9ja. The implication is an OND holder can do what ever a PHD holder can do. As regards to foreign degrees, i was working in MTN and had admission to a school in the USA for msc, people really discouraged me from going for the foreign degree saying 'a bird in hand is worth more than a million in the bush' but i followed my heart, resigned and went for the degree and never regretted. I finished and got top offers beyond my imagination. There is nothing like quality education, OP if u really had a good degree u wud soon reap the benefits.
