Health › Re: Why Did I Ejaculate During Examination At Covenant University? by stanvesco(m): 7:21pm On Apr 30, 2025 |
grandiose4ever: To Doctors In The House.
I am a Covenant University graduate. Some years ago during my 200L I enrolled for a course themed "CHM212: Physical Chemistry". After the semester end, half of the class failed the course miserably. So we retook the course in 300 Level as a "carryover", then I failed this course again. Then in 400L I enrolled for this course again.
This time around I read severely for the course because a failure would amount to an extra year. But when I got to the exam hall and opened the questions, much of it looked like Arabic to me. I couldn't even make sense of what the question was talk more of what the answers could be. Beyond writing my name, I could only attempt a few questions.
Looking around I could see how the 200 level Chemistry students where flipping papers. I could only curse my own department for making us enroll to Chemistry courses that were of little relevance to my department. To make things worse, some of these 200 level students where requesting for extra papers and I was wondering why anyone would need extra papers.
From afar it was clear that my 400L class mates also retaking the course where equally in disarray. One was sweating under AC, the other had that look - you know that look of a clueless person who was certain of failure and the last was making unsuccessful attempts to 'giraffe' another student. Some minutes later, some people started submitting scripts, then the principal supervisor declared 10 minutes more for the rest of us.
The moment she made that declaration, it was as though the reality of an extra year came blaring at my face. I could feel tension surging down my body from neck down and then my muscles contracted. Two seconds before, I was now certain I was going to have an ejaculation. I immediately held my head and pretended as though I was having a painful headache as one or two people looked my way wondering why I had a 'squirting face' and was in apparent discomfort.
After the ejaculation I felt peace of mind. So I immediately stood up and dashed towards the exit with my almost blank papers in hand covering my groin. I submitted and ran back to my hostel room before anyone could notice any wet spurt on my trousers. I changed over and ran back to Chapel begging God for even a D so I can graduate.
Glory to God, when the results came out I had a D - which is the minimum grade you could evade a carryover/extra year at CU.
But till today I wonder why and how I could have had that disgustingly embarrassing experience. I would be grateful if Doctors or Biologist could explain why such a thing would happen to me at an examination. I would like to know if anyone has experienced anything remotely close to that. Thank you for your time
Probably your first ejaculation! It's completely normal |
Health › Re: May Nigeria Not Happen To Us; Woman Who Lost Her Life Due To Hospital Negligence by stanvesco(m): 7:10pm On Apr 30, 2025 |
Parkflash: This is the full story as narrated on her husband; UB Shehu's Facebook profile.
On 24th April 2025, I lost One of the most dearest human being in my life, and I gave some narration, asserting that my wife died as a result of poor management, unprofessionalism and Mother of all NEGLIGENCE.
I didn't know that people are heartless to put up a defence for mere call for corrections to protect and SAVE more LIVES for future reoccurrence.
To put record straight
My wife was the last person to undergo operation that day, operation was carried out on about 9 persons and it was with AEDC,But when it reach our turn,AEDC failed
I spoke about AEDC interrupting the power supply and putting on Generator, Note: it's not Generator that uses Diesel , it's an ordinary Gen. "I didn't mean MIKANO Gen, I meant those Gen that are Bigger than "I pass my neighbor" ( tiger generator) "
After operation is being carriedout on my late wife ,so it was time for the nurses to convey my late wife to the word where she would stay for 2,3 or 4 to 5 days , as the healing or recovery situation may be,
I made it as an obligation while waiting outside theater to help the nurses push other patients on the hospital stretcher to the word up to the stage where they would be layed on their beds and,so I did on the same patient we stayed in same room. I observed how stable, other patients were after operation. But my wife's situation was critical right from inside the theater room after operation up till the time she gave up.. Inside the word,
They left us with an unqualified and inexperienced nurse, she looks more like and IT student.
My wife was operated on, on the lower abdomen of her tommy, and on the left hand side of the stomach there was drip going in to her body while on the right hand side of the stomach it was tube that this drip that was coming in from the left would flush out the remaining unwanted dirts or tissues from her stomach.
We Discovered that the Doctor FORGOT to plug a Bag to her right hand side where remaining dirt or tissues from the stomach would be stored
I brought it to the attention of the young nurse about it because, there was already much blood flow and she was laying on it, the nurse told me that she didn't know how plug the bag, I've bought another one from pharmacy, that She had inform Doctor about it and he's on his way that was 9pm. April 23th The blood continued to flow until 2am one young man and his boy arrived, She Said he was the Doctor on call but he didn't go beyond the threshold of the room, Dr standing by the door, his aid asked where is the bag, plugged it and then left.Hummmm Remember on my previous post I mentioned that I stood for 11hours outside, now add another 12hour 24minutes Horrifying period to it.
Right from 9pm April 23th My wife has started asking for water and food meanwhile the other patient whom the same operation was carried out on her too was in the same room laying calm , very unusual.
The most Horrifying moment was when she told told me that "Baby walahi idan Baku bani ruwa nasha ba, zan mutu" that was 3am. I had to rush to the nurse room, she was sleeping but I waked and asked her to call the Dr please this is what My wife said just now and I don't want to lose her . 3am The DR said that he went to deliver a message that he'll be back soon 4am He's coming
Some minutes pass 4am the bag plugged to store waste from her stomach was full with blood, 1700ML quantity of my wife's blood and the inexperienced girl still insist that it was waste,
Seeing her in a critical condition, I couldn't bear it, I tried to give my wife water to drink or something but I was scolded.
Meanwhile there are Senior nurses inside the word but they don't attend to patients that are not assigned to them.
Hummmmmm for the first time in our matrimony i see serious fear in my wife's eyes, She was crying that she was going to die and there was nothing I could do to help her. My mum told the young nurse that the waste was too much, that she had once stayed with patient in the hospital and it took the quantity 48hrs to reach 300ML but the young girl Said that she has called the doctor, we were waiting while my wife was still in pain, shouting that she would die if I didn't feed her. That was how I Saw my wife shrinking . Her skin gradually becoming White,
5am I reminded the nurse of My wife critical condition and what would happen if he (Dr) didn't come, but still, She told me that he's on his way.
My mum and i,we ran out of option, the only thing we could do now is to call her mum, Her mum arrived jummai babangida aliyu Maternal and neonatal hospital minna, some minutes to 6am, She couldn't relent she had starts calling family and friends anyone that knows anyone that know anyone in jummai babangida aliyu Maternal and neonatal hospital should please help us call a Doctor but to no avail.
6am the young nurse told me that Doctor is around but he's checking on another patient downstairs,
We have given up already 7am Doctor is not here yet, blood has finished in her body, 7:04am April 24th ,She starts Gasping, this Young nurse was standing by her side and she didn't even realize that my wife was Gasping I shouted on her my wife is Gasping, I now began to shouting loudly"SOMEBODY HELP MY WIFE IS DIEING" Allah Akbar Nurse that refuses to HELP when the situation can quickly be identified and solution might be applied earlier started coming out from the same word that we were. We were in Gynea word and there was NO OXYGEN there, unfortunately, after pressing, punching my wife's chest trying to make her to breath there was need for OXYGEN, we had to take her to ICU Downstairs in order to use the oxygen , that was when WE start pushing HER on the bed to the ICU On Getting to ICU, They, ( the nurses) had tried almost all the pipes in ICU, but it did not fit her nose.
They tried one, they said it was too short, Another one they said it is too long 7:24am Until my wife died before My eyes.
Inna lillahi wa Inna lillahi rajiun I cried while reading this. I know this scene! I have experienced this scene I have being on either side both as a doctor and as a patient relative! Walahitalahi, may Nigeria not happen to us! |

Akinola100: The use of plastic buckets 🪣 is more sustainable than feed and cement sacks but they also face the same fate like sacks but it would just take a little longer. After making research, I discovered that tyres could be a better option, 1. Controlling land pollution as the tyres would be of good use 2. Tyres are wider and can take in a lot of soil, consequently allowing plants roots to spread 3. Doesn’t experience breakdown like in sacks 4. You could add more depth for deep rooted plants by simply stacking tyres on top of each other.
Do you remember the original reason for sack farming in the first place?
What do you think? Would you embrace tyres for planting. Let me hear your comments below |
Agriculture › Re: Large Scale Farming Challenges. How Do I Overcome It. by stanvesco(m): 2:16pm On Mar 14, 2025 |
MadCow1: Hi..
So I am kind of new to this section but I have been following it for a while on the low low.
Here is my story. So at the close of last year, I decided to take on a new project in Agriculture this year. This project is very large and I have spent the better part of this year focusing on this project.
The Project: Setting up a Large Scale integrated farm. Primary Livestock being Poultry for eggs and meat and the primary crop yet to be decided on (ideas for this would be welcome). The end game for me is processing. I intend to be going into the frozen food market for processed meat like frozen chicken, meat, sausages and the works.
Progress so far. I have been in training since the start of the year. Main objective of my training is in farm management. Basically how to manage a large scale integrated farm.
I have also acquired two pieces of land measuring 100,000sqm and 75,000sqm respectively. Both properties are within looking distance of each other so the management isn't going to be too much of a problem.
Biggest Challenge:: Security! Security!! Security!!! I have thought long and hard about how to overcome this challenge and I keep coming up blank.. Fencing both properties will cost in excess of 30 Million Naira.. That isn't something I am willing to do even if I could afford it. The Land is located about 3 - 5km from the nearest populated part of the host town. The 75ksqm land isn't situated directly on the main access road and can't be seen from the road as such cos there is a large property in front of it and surrounded on all sides by bush. The area isn't even remotely developed. Mostly other smaller farms around me. The 100ksqm property is on the main road and would be the operations base of the farm (accommodation, equipement, storage, offices and the works).. Also surrounded by bush
So I figure I bring it here to pick the brains of other Nairaland farmers who operate large farms like these and how they have gone about it.
Here are some thoughts I am currently playing with:
1. Digging a 6 feet × 6 feet trench right around the farm.
2. Attempting to do a pillar and barbed wire fence. But all I feel somebody will just cut them and take them away in addition to looting my crops.
3. Community engagement.. I will be getting my base workers from the community anyhow, but then they wouldn't be on the farm at night and the inhabited part of the village is a distance from my location.
Farm Location: Anambra State
... Opinions are highly welcomed especially from people who operate similar scale farming project or have worked on one.
Thanks. Is a stream or a natural water source in or close to your farm? Do you have a plan for irrigation? I was eyeing the digging you spoke about but please be careful because gully erosion is common here in south east...I was playing with the imagination of digging around your 1000 plots and putting tilapia fishes in the ensuing ponds. Doing azolla and duckweed farming in some sections and also using the channel for irrigation as and when needed. But that's a 200 slaves per day job for 10years ( lol) I wish you well boss! Please keep me updated |

Thanks. Wow, congratulations you are me in a very few months time. I have always dreamt of establishing a large farm. I don't mind working virtually with you. I am a truckload of creative ideas any day and would brainstorm on my feet while sleeping. So lemme regurgigate some of my futuristic ideas. Please just thank me later when you use any of them, and since you are my future self,I would love to know if any of these ideas work out. 1) Find a way to source for what is called *"live trees"* it's a long lost Africans style of fencing that we abandoned for the expensive styles of the white man. I can supply this to you in large quantities. You plant them like we plant cassava stems and they will grow into formidable barriers in a very short time 2. I would advice against you doing your operations Infront and doing your farming behind. It's the conventional practice, but think like a thief! Won't it be easier to steal from a much secluded area? Use the 75 for residential/admin/whatsoever and do the farming with the 100 (I have probably mixed up which is which) 3) farm your bamboo sticks gradually *"winks"* I guess you never thought of that abi 4) Generally start small 5) Use GPS mapping to map your entire farm. If I were you,I would farm maize and cassava first and use the proceeds to secure the farm (4 circles of a good quality maize would make you smile) 6) for your workers ensure they get international passports, then get guarantors with international passports. Give them good salary's. For example if the salary is 70,000 per annum ensure you pay them only 55,000 naira. The balance of 15,000 would be paid if they stay up to the sixth month with additional bonuses ( the motivation is usually mad) 7) i cannot emphasize cameras cameras and cameras buy one aggressive male dog from fulanis and two female German shepherds. Start raising them now. In one year you may have enough to guard your farm 9) start raising a nursery of any crop now e.g plantain, dates, palm kernel etc. you have no idea the wastes you will produce in that farm 10) start a black soldier fly farm on that farm even before your birds come. Populate that areas with the flies e get why 11) about your perimeter fencing; check any of those china websites you will see alot of perimeter fencing ideas e.g ultrasound devices that scares pest away 12) plan for solar to power everything (I have some mad mad mad ideas but I cannot type that out here just like that) 13) get contacts here on nairaland and start discussing on how to generate biogas to also power your generators 14) Think of an all integrated farm 15) think deeply about using massive fish ponds to barricade your main farms. Just think deeply and see how you can design something 17) Note that the issue of theft in farm is a thing of the past, with better CCTV,solar system and a guaranteed worker nothing significant fit happen. It's better for a worker to steal and run away ....than to be stealing subtly for ages 18) insurance insurance insurance 19) even tho you get money, still be looking for grants 20) don't forget that the sand you dig up from ground can be used to build... 21) abeg don't be too tempted to buy fancy machines to demonstrate wealth abeg. 22) I swear I don even forget the main points you requested from us. I am just fantastiizing as though it's my property |

underpinna: I rented a self contained apartment last year March at 70ķ. On February, this year, the landlord called to tell me that my rent has expired. I told him that my rent will expire on March but he insisted so I told him okay. I also told him that I will be paying by the end of March and he agreed. I thought all was settled until I heard him saying that he has increased his rent to 150k. I was like how on earth and why telling me now. We argued and he told me 130k last while I stood at 100k. I argued that the duration of notice is short. So we couldn't settle, so he ended the call. I later found out that three people were engineering him to increase his rent or throw me out. These three people are close to me. I feel betrayed and looking for another accommodation. Ì wanted to stay because of the yard, we are just two tenants and I have a small garden of cassava.
