horpeyemmi66: Taking Physiology Seriously Or Getting Dentistry??
I am in my penultimate year studying Physiology at the University of Ibadan, I have gotten Jamb's UTME form in which I applied to study dentistry at ABU, Zaria, should I concentrate more on the UTME (Since the job prospects of Physiology are few) or take the Physiology seriously?
Lagusta, Eloise, Mandeyy, Dr.Lomaxx, angiography, RectusAbdominis, tonye001, DrThanos, Dbraniac1, oogway, dolapo74, gregdcutie, exorene, starfx, au79, Zico5, donpre, ISISs et al Have you considered concentrating on both equally... Like maybe read for jamb today then the next day handle physiology stuffs..i know it is not gonna be easy, I have been there ...if ur passion is dentistry, then u have to prepare for jamb well and not neglect physiology at the Same time .. charleymed: No. I disagree. Keith Moore is too bulky and will consume your time. You might spend the whole of your preclinics reading while others are playing basketball and reading news. If you can't use last, your surebet is Gray's anatomy student version. Good book, good graphics and easy to understand.
This is just my opinion, I'm actually not a fan of big books. Moreover, I started using last in 2nd year. Never used anything else, save for few clinical notes on Richard Snell and rare occasion looked at pictures in Gray's. It worked for me. I got distinction in anatomy with ease, I'm serious when I say, with ease. Good luck. U must have graduated sir ? |

ISISs: I don't think there should be a fixed hour or time for anyone to read. It should depend on the persons ability and the duration to which he/she understands till he gets saturated.. (By saturation, I mean when he/she gets tired)
But in medicine and it's art, it is advisable u read everyday, AT LEAST two hours. Epic.. 1000 likes for this Team Mbbs |

Martinez19: Mtewwwww. I had questions about Christianity when I was younger But now, I have experienced Christ.. And I can tell you, the supernatural exists.. Just believe that he died for your sins. Then u will experience him too. Who knows u might come here and testify |
Christianity Etc › Re: I Challenge Pastordavidawuj To Answer My Questions On His Claims by Starfx(m): 6:25pm On Jan 16, 2019 |
Martinez19: The arrogance of the no true Scotsmen fallacy. Believing in god is faith; believing he heals and he can heal you is faith and praying to him is faith. All these faiths combined is enough for any serious god but it seems that's not enough for yahweh. Perhaps, he wants the faith that entails the greatest expression of delusion eg. Still hoping god will make one's cancer go away after it has progressed and one is loosing consciousness. In fact why would a god who wants to see you live require faith? If I saw my son sick, I wouldn't wait for him to ask, I would rush him to the hospital? Exactly what u don't understand,.. Maybe lemme start from what faith is. Faith is a total believe in something or someone. When we talk about faith in God, we don't refer to believing that there is God, but believing that Jesus Christ died for your sins and by so u are no longer in ur sins. Having believed, u now come into sonship (romans 8vs14) Maybe from this u can now understand why God insists on faith |

Davies124: why would anyone do this? Did you consult people and seek enlightenment U wont believe that I initially applied for medicine but was given pharmacy, not because my score was bad (Pharmacy cut off is almost as high as that of medicine, it's just a rule of not giving a second choicer medicine and law) . So I had to accept the course and reapply for medicine the next year. PS:pharmacy is a nice course |

Mandeyy: It's his choice. I saw somebody who left Public Administration in 300 level to study law. I also know somebody who left Microbiology in 300 level to study Medicine. I first studied a biological science course, and one of our classmates left us in year 1 to study medicine. I have also seen people in their late 30's and early 40's going back to study medicine. That of law is widely known. So, i don't want to mention that. That's their choices.
Pls, encourage the guy. He has made his choice, and he will never regret it. I just want to advise him to work harder and pray too. Thanks bro. |

6ixty9ine: between pharmacy and medicine which is better No course is better than the other, it all boils down to individual choice, that's finding what one loves doing.. If am passionate about pharmacy and someone else is studying medicine because of peer pressure or parents enforcement,.. Me that is studying pharmacy will make exploit compared to the other guy. Vice versa. My opinion though.. Team Mbbs |

tymp: Happy New Year medics. Permission to dare to open my mouth(fingers) to speak(type).
We just created a group on WhatsApp exclusively for NEWLY ADMITTED MEDICS, i.e., 2018/2019 freshers accross all institutions.
The idea is to create a level platform for everyone to share experiences, ideas, rub minds, materials, etc. along the way, understand what's being done in other Colleges so as to not be limited to the 'four walls' of individuals' institutions alone.
It is not for undue comparison or competition, but to challenge and keep you on your toes, understand how others are tackling similar challenges in other places......
Too much talk, sorry. I'm sure you get the idea.
So, please, if you're a 2018/2019 FRESH MEDIC, just resuming 100L, and are interested, you can mail me or Chukwukapromise and you'll be added to the group. It's started already, and it's growing, and we want to keep it alive till, by God's grace, we take the 'OATH'....and maybe beyond.....). Great.. Splendid idea |
