OmoBendel24: Is it not 214(b) wahala that the paper is about? Whether white paper oh, blue oh, pink oh, or any other color, it’s the content that matters, color makes no difference as that could just have been the available color of paper to use. Meanwhile, what was your Brother’s part during the interview, was he not asked questions or admonished too? He was ask but only one question Pls how will I know the content of the matter |
Actually wanted to ask yesterday at what time in all of her posts you read that she paid higher? I could see she didn’t know the implication of using that term “I had complications” vis-à-vis US child birthing. Now, we see how much she paid in all her 5 months stay, complications coupled with having a family member in the US (if she “mistakenly” get on US soil again, the likelihood of her not exiting is very high now IMO), one can almost advise her to kiss US bye, but what do we know, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBL. Pls can u advise me on what to n the meaning of pink paper |

ozymes: No further comment from me. I am tempted to deduce that you were advised to stay back to have your baby. How did you pay your bills? If yes, does it mean you were fully prepared for it?........Complicated pregnancy I believe is very expensive to handle in the US. Good morning, I payed my bill in full, and when I saw what was going, had to start making preparation |
Thank you, she has sent me the itemized bill. Now i see what all the visa denial is about. And I think there is something shady with Oakbend medical center. I have sent her a mail to give me procedures and modalities on how to pay the discount stated due to self pay as they claim. Just does not sound logical that am to pay 12K dollar and am only paying $3K because am self or cash pay. Please if anyone has paid the discount back please kindly share your procedure here. We are not planning for any missionary journey but in case of a cross posting by my organization. i dont want to have this issue of visa denial. Thank you all.
Hope to read from someone that has paid the discount back before.
[/quote Good day mamas Please I want to understand something, dose it mean that any body with discount it is automatic refusal of visa. Because am preparing for my interview. |

JMarines: Hello. According to Jayfierce and others, it’s been advised we stay away from discounts. However, if your previous itemized bills have discount on it, I don’t know if you can do much about it( Mine showed a ridiculous discount and I presented it same way). You can call them up and appeal to them to personalize the bill if possible by stating exactly what you paid for without adjustments ( can’t say if this is possible, but you can give it a try).
Dear Mamas please help poster out. OK, thanks I will try |

I got a question for you though. Did you use your Nigerian address in the birth certificate of your baby? Good day Pls do normally ask for birth certificate |

JMarines: I’m really sorry it took a while.
Good afternoon Sir VO: Good afternoon Madam
Me: I passed on my passport and documents to him as he stretched out his hand to receive them.
VO: Where are you going and why? Me: I’m going to Houston, Texas. I would love to use same hospital and doctor for the delivery of my baby when due and I have family living there too.
VO: Oh, you are pregnant! You had your last baby in the US? Me: Yes
VO: Do you have a copy of all your receipts from previous birth? How do you intend to pay your bills?what do you do? What does your husband do? Me:Yes I do and they are all attached. We set aside funds every year for specific projects and for this year, we will be spending our savings for My medical trip abroad. I told him what I do( self employed) and where my husband works. I also showed him a referral letter from his company which was written for this purpose. VO: What’s his position? Me: I told him.
VO: He moves over to the statement and questions why certain amounts were reflected at certain times. Me: I explained telling him that the two huge sums reflected were: 1) Upfront usually paid to staff of certain companies and multinationals at the beginning of the year 2) Treasury bills we bought over a year ago that was remitted to our account. He held on to the statement as well as receipts and requested for a minute.
VO: How much did you spend on medicals only during your last birth? Me: I told him I prepaid my entire Hospital, Dr’s & Anaes bills before my arrival into the US. But eventually has a Caesarean section when I paid for a Vaginal delivery. The difference was paid after discharge . I paid about $10-12k. He cuts in and says delivery in Texas is approximately 18k. I told him I paid what I was billed and that it can be found on the official website.
VO: I am not disputing the fact that you aren’t owing but I need to see an itemized bill from the hospital that shows all the charges from previous birth.
Me: Here is the zero balance letter, addressed to the consulate as well as receipts VO: These are confusing( I agree with him on that) Call the hospital and tell them specifically that the VO has made a request for a particular document, they will give it to you.
He hands me a paper for administrative processing and asks if I would be needing my passport soon. He added I should send it across as soon as possible.
This is my transcript and I pray for God’s grace to get this visa so I can finally hang my boots after this delivery. I pray that u will get it. |

OmoBendel24: I see where your panic mode is emanating from now, genuine fears.... How long where you in the US for?
Not declaring birthing as purpose of visit at the POE is grave, almost a dead road for visa renewal. Except by stroke of fortune/luck, your wahala with them just kickstarted! OmoBendel24 My case will be luck. I believe |

JMarines: Amen. He requested for all bills from previous delivery, bank statement, Doctor’s correspondence, budget sheet, prepayment receipt, etc. I’m not sure I am allowed to post that here but an itemized bill is a detailed billing ledger that a provider can give you, which lists all of the services you received during the visit, and includes the procedure and diagnosis, etc. JMarines Pls I hope u don't most mind show me the copy of the itemized bill so that I can understand beta thanks |
