TravelRe: General German Business And Tourist Visas ONLY by starpexgoody: 3:00pm On Feb 25, 2020
Cyberknight:
The information on the embassy's website is clear. You must come to Lagos to apply if you are not undertaking an official trip or applying for a transit visa. You have to book an appointment first.

U.S. passport holders do not need a visa to enter the Schengen area for stays of up to 90 days, so your children do not need to appear.
I appreciate your response. Thank you.

Please I need assistance. I am a first time applicant for a German visa. My sister is inviting me.
1)Can I be interviewed in Abuja as I live in Abuja?
2)My children are American citizens please would they need to appear for an interview as well at the German embassy?
3)I have checked in the website but still seem a lil lost.
Please kindly drop possible responses. God bless you all

No, they were born in Nigeria
It might pose a little problem at your visa renewal. But might not if you have properly done all the paperwork that will cum with enrolling them.
Had a friend who enrolled her kids in a private school during her missionary journey and had issues at visa renewal.

This thread is indeed a goldmine.tanx to all dos who post transcripts n answer questions.
I have been a silent follower since 2016 n I birthed my son same year with great info from this thread.
Fast forward to 2017 i did dropbox for my visa n was called for 221g interview... I ran back to this thread my starting point and read page by page from my last read n it prepared me for my 221g interview which was a walk over though my visa was held for administrative processing but picked up after a week. Guess they needed to verify my accounts.
Then to 2018...my second missionary journey is a wrap big tanks to @domrita for putting me through getting naija passport in the United States and@ozymes for his great help when the naija embassy in the US was not forthcoming.
Oga Ozymes.. God bless u. Indeed u make me believe good n helpful people still exist in Naija.

God bless us all n Goodluck to those in the process.

Good day to the house.
Please I need some light to be shed on my case. I got a visa in 2015 which I used for vacation and birthing and paid all my bills.
Fast forward to this year, I applied for dropbox and was called for interview which I attended.
The VO asked for my receipts which I presented, She asked a couple of questions like if I would like to birth again and I said yes in the affirmative.
Then she replied "everything looks goods we're gonna ur visa but we will av to verify your statement of account but meanwhile no other document is needed.
That was house she took my passport n my husbands company's statements of account and handed me the yellow paper indicating that my visa is under administrative processing.
It seems quite clear what happened. But why could I possibly be placed on statement verification check?
Thank you for your response
