My people say you can bring a cricket under control only through squeezing it's head... angry
Fidelity that almost stood no chance some few years back can even buy this bank.
Any bank that buys Diamond should be treated as a patient who mistakenly took a heavily poisoned pill.
It will have to be in ICU for a while... angry
The acquiring bank will then discover how much damage the internal organs withstood without abandoning post.
Next will be rights issues.. grin
Any bank that buys Diamond, na to blacklist the bank be that Prof grin grin grin

flourmills have blamed their drop in revenue mostly on the apapa gridlock,i believe this also affected dangote sugar and nascon. As we enter dis bonanza period let brethrens that live in Lagos pls update us on when this apapa hold up has cleared, I heard dangote is building another road down there.......I will base my buying decision on any business @ apapa on this
Apapa road clear...If you are investing based on Apapa road, then that would be in 2020 grin

If not for pride, Diamond Bank should just use the strategy Wema Bank applied to stay afloat; changing its banking licence status probably to a regional bank before upgrading again to a national licence. But Uzoma that I know will not consider such.
Uzuoma is a spoiled brat....he does not know what it took the father to build Diamond bank, he will destroy it las las, that is what they do.

throwback to 2014:
Global alternative asset manager, The Carlyle Group, invested $147 million in Lagos-based Diamond Bank PLC. The Nigerian financier said this in an official press release on Monday. The investment which came through the Bank’s recently completed $305 million rights issue, is set to improve Diamond Bank’s Tier 1 capital. This will strengthen both its balance sheet and support the bank’s continued growth plans.

“This investment is a testament of the Bank’s strong brand and success over the years, particularly in the Retail/SME space,” said Uzoma Dozie, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Bank.

4 Years After:
Carlyle is not Happy . . and wants MD out ASAP before injecting funds nxt yr ! (They own 20%** ish of d bank , so dem get mouth for board)

Why d Acquisition/ Rumours:
Sharks can smell blood in d water, deriz no better opportunity than a disgruntled large shareholder. it's not only access looking ! MD is been difficult so game may get a lil dirty to get things moving

Lemme stop here
This is where I blame the CBN and other regulators...Sack the whole board now. No they wont, they rather watch Uzuoma collapse Diamond bank and then use tax payers money to bail the bank out.

Look at Diamond also, Uzuomas creativity is dead yet he wont give way for fresh mind to take over. He wants another investor to put money that he would give away for Salary 4 life!

You have said it all. Let me start by saying our leaders and regulators are the most wicked on planet earth. They just rubbed investors of their hard earned money. They were several red flags but they pretend not to always see it and would not act even after been confronted with evidence. It all boils down to politics of interest. Corruption is everywhere from Aso Rock to me & you here on nairaland.
We may say thank God I was not affected, but as at today several listed companies are showing similar signs with red flags -Diamond, Oando, etc. but instead of the regulators to call the management to order and sack where needed they are again acting dumb to the detriment of minority shareholders.

1. Going forward I have decided to throw NSE & long term investing into the dustbin
2. Delay your result, that company will never see a dime from me.
3. loss in FY audited you will not see a dime, even if you declare profits in un-audited Quarterly result
4. If you want my money, you must declare progressive profit in both quarterly & audited result.
#QED

In light of this reevaluation, I would offload every single stock I have with Diamond bank plc on Monday, until Mr. Uzuoma gets sense. A stitch in time...saves nine. Only my Zenith bank is worth keeping atm.
Reference to when I exited Diamond.

@Cadillac15 That is a lesson for all us..Monkey hunting everywhere...he was shouting full bid on diamond more than 5 times only for him to sale at the same time and start wishin others well. I pity newbews ...The last person who did this was LOCO...he called it WISDOM.

@Yayira So u still don't understand ?
The very day I sold Diamond bank I made it very clear in the house, you can check my old post...that very day I said a lot of things in anger about Dozie after which the next day I exited.

Then I entered Zenith, Fidelity I made it clear...up until now I haven buying FCMB. I keep my words.

When I said Diamond could go on bid, I did not ask anyone to buy, I only made reference to NSE anything could happen and people will make money, and some will get burnt!

Emefiele insist on defending the Naira. No devaluation in the near future.
Na today...we shall see how far he can continue to defend it...after wage increase, devaluation is inevitable! Emefiele is a typical Central bank gov., they defend the obvious before doing the obvious.

17million bid vs 900k offer. I wonder why fidelity is yet to go on full bid.
Until FCMB releases it's Q3 result...they will both go to N5.00 together. Meanwhile bargain hunters must buy Fidelity & FCMB at a premium or they forget about it.

Revenue wise wapco is not doing bad, its just that equity holders share of the pie right now is non existent, wapco right now exists for admin expenses and paying borrowed debt, but i want to believe the new restructuring exercise they are carrying out.....by the time it start trickling down to equity holder they way the share price will move ehh......

Currently, I still expect wapco to go down more probably sub #10,as they will definitely declare loss this year, the cheaper you get it the better for long termers.....
I stopped using this your word in NSE....be prepared to exit anytime anywhere anyhow.

las las the french will leave and sell it to Dangote...Dangote is killing their business with price, the only people that can match Dangote are the Ibo biz-men cos they would travel to china and finish him wit price. Ibeto is still doing well in SE.
