Education › Re: Top Ten Signs That You Dont Undestand Evolution At All by StealthyMe(m): 5:59am On Oct 29, 2014 |
AgentOfAllah: There are several types of apes, right? Humans are just one species. All apes are still evolving, including humans. Evolution is not a discrete interval point, it's a continuous chain. We may not stop calling ourselves humans, but our physiology and anatomy are changing ever so gradually. For example, there was a time humans could ingest raw meat with no problem, now, such exotic diets are increasingly becoming a luxury our systems can't accommodate.
Evolution does not require one species to end in order for another to thrive. Their environments are vastly different so too are their resulting evolutional paths. Mind you, in the case of humans and all the other existing apes, our common ancestor is no more, so while existing apes will thrive in the environments they are suited for, they will not do very well in environments adapted for humans.
As for proof, the wiki page is a good starting point. Thanks for your explanation |

naturalwaves: IT is a school of Agriculture because it has special grants to practice agriculture to the core; enough fields, mechanical devices and the lecturers( Prof. Adebambo and co) are something else when it comes to agriculture. Infact, I didn't like taking a stroll with my friends that were studying agriculture cos they will give you a thorough analysis of any tree, leaf , soil we come across. I can beat my chest for any one that studied agric.there.
Sciences and engineering is well practiced too in a very standard way but not all engineering courses are available (no chemical engineering for example) and no medicine and clinical sciences too. Thanks for the breakdown... Laughing Seriously at the friend part... |

Peterken05, pls i was just wondering... If apes underwent evolution and finally evolved into humans , why then will humans undergo evolution and not finally evolve into something else? |
Education › Re: Top Ten Signs That You Dont Undestand Evolution At All by StealthyMe(m): 6:03pm On Oct 28, 2014 |
Peterken05: lol, funny, its not like we're going to turn to something else.
For example, when someone says evolution of nairaland, it doesnt mean nairaland changes it layout e.t.c overnight, it simply means how nairaland has been changing, 1st it was like button, now we have share button.
Now back to humans, for example we are losing our wisdom because we no longer eat foilages, our brains are shrinking, e.t.c all these due to either natural selection or genetic mutation. Ok..Thanks a ton for the explanation! I totally understand your post Can you pls refer me to a link/page where a detailed evolution of apes to human was explained? Would be grateful if you did... |

AgentOfAllah: The way you have framed your question betrays a deep lack of understanding. Apes haven't stopped evolving into humans, humans are apes that are still evolving. So it hasn't stopped. The humans of 100,000 years ago aren't the same as today's humans. Yes,you're right...am totally ignorant in matters regarding evolution So,you said apes haven't stopped evolving into humans Please what is your proof and how certain are you ? If they are still evolving into humans, why then are there still apes that grow old and die without evolving? And since you stated that 'humans' are apes still evolving, which animal would human evolve into next in the evolution chain? |

Evolution hasnt stopped, human beings are evolving, you dont just seem to understand it. You're totally right...i really don't know anything about evolution Mind educating me a bit? So,the humans that are evolving...what'll they turn to after a complete phase of evolution ? |

Henrypraise: Wen I read/ watch police reports, I sumtyms shed tears, police ar d biggest liars dis world can eva know. Afta readin dis story lemme tell u my own conclusion.
The suspect is a fone repairer, he must av sumhow got himsef entangled wit a police officer or sumone hu knows a top police officer. The suspect might trully be a student n he repairs fone to see himself tru sch, I suspect d suspect to be an electrical student. Upon accosting him, he was asked to provide d receipts of d fones in his custody n wen he failed to do dat, he was labelled a fon thief n taken to d station. On d equipments dat cud be used to burgle a house, I see dos equipments as his workin tools (dos tiny screw drivers n dia lyks). On d burgled fone store, dat must av bin a story made up by d police officer.
I don't believe police report until I hear from d suspects demsefs in d absence of d police men. Not even written statements as most statements ar written under diuress.
De kip arresting d innocent n dos striving to survive while d real thieves drives big cars on d road.

Each time I listen to Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State, I tell myself this is the kind of leader we need in Nigeria, not those who don’t know their bearings.
Since he made his intention known to contest in the House of Representatives elections in 2015 with the aim of representing the good people of Ogbomosho, Oyo State, there have been different views on his ability to deliver, noting some of his widely reported flaws.
Above is one of his campaign posters on the internet and it is very disheartening to note that at this stage, 9ice cannot get a proof reader to crosscheck every message he is passes out to the public.[/quote]Would you rather prefer a fluent english speaking thief as a leader OR one who can't speak english well but attends to the masses as regards their issues and problems ?
No one is perfect...am very sure not every one in Ogbomosho speaks and understands English ; he can converse in Yoruba. |
