This whole thing is confusing. Someone in the Ministry of Labour says she earns close to 70k a month for Level 9 step 2. From what their appointment letters say it's about 60k plus, then after deductions it should be about 50k plus. Has anybody here earned on level 9 step 2 in ministry of labour recently?

Had my interview last month and was placed on AP(abj embassy) my interview went well and the VO collected my passport. A week after while tracking my passport my satus changed from AP to Refused.

Hence,I got my passport at Dhl office(VI) a week after, they attached two slips paper:
1. Pink deny paper 214b
2. Section 212(a)(6)(C)(I)-for fraud and misrepresentation of material fact. With a pen indicating FAKE BANK DOCUMENTS


I later confirmed from my uncle the bank statement was not genuine that he paid someone to arrange it,from recent trends here I want to confirm how I will know if am banned already,coz the slips they gave me didn’t indicate the years for my ban,how will I get to know if I am banned and how soon can I reapply ?

Please great gurus in the house,kindly assist with legit info ?

Probably the account statement was not officially obtained (requested and paid for) and the bank denied issuing it when the embassy requested confirmation. If you're extremely sure that the submitted statement is genuine, confirm how your uncle got it. After that, re-apply with a duly obtained official statement and explain exactly what happened. Your case would have a better chance of flying if the scenario I imagined are true and other things are right.

This is going to be a long and hard process. I might follow up tho. Thanks man

I will suggest you appeal the decision of the embassy instead of re-appearing. Ise the hand written note stating as a fake as your basis for wanting the case further opened and investigated. Sta nd on your position that the documents are genuine.
If possible, get your uncle to insist that the bank write and minute on the initial statement and include it as one of your justification for re-opening the case.

The mistake has been made. I think I trusted him too much. Guess I have to pay for that now

So sorry. This is how my trusted uncle gave me a fake SOA also in July. I trusted him so much that I did not expect him to do such to me. If not for God who made me have this feelings of verifying the account. I tried checking out the account number by doing a mobile transfer from my phone 3days before my interview. Behold, the account name on mobile app was entirely different from the account name on the statement of account, even though its same account no. I queried him and he was like "eehm aburo, the embassy don't use to collect it, just go there and be smart, they won't collect it, they will only check."

That is when I knew family people can be evil. I had no choice than to reschedule my interview to spring, get a new sponsor (my parents this time) and request for new I20.

This is just a wakeup call for everyone. Don't trust most of those uncles or agents. They will lie to you that they have money in their account, they will tell you it's original statement. Always take a further step to verify documents authenticity before taking them to the embassy

He was quite pissed when i told him the embassy declared it fake. He insists its legit and wants me to follow it up

on first though i would have said dont apply again and dont even target the US because that issue is not going away anytime soon and will keep coming up as a problem

on second though , if you are absolutely sure of the bank statements, then you can apply again with the aim to clear your name . however this chance is only if you are absolutely sure of the authenticity of the bank statement .

Why reapplying to waste money. You said there was a pink paper attached to your passport when you received it with handwritten note indicating fake bank statement. Fake bank statement is classified under section 212(a)(6)(C)(i) -fraud/misrepresentation of material and the penalty is ban. Though you are eligible to seek for a waiver of ineligibility but it's a hard fight when it comes to U.S Embassy. Seek an immigration lawyer for advice to interpret that section for you well and how to go about it.

The part that's got me confused is the fact they didnt issue any paper telling me my fate. I plan to follow this up but i just dont know the procedure

This is so bad. Although it looks like you don’t have any document given to you to outrightly notify you about being banned, but that’s most likely what it is for you right now.

However the only way you can be in the know of what it is for you is to reapply and of course with legitimate documents this time. I’m sure the visa officer would be able to state it to you if or not you have been banned right there. The fact is that you should prepare your mind that your next application is more or less an exercise through which you want to clear your doubts about being banned and NOT an attempt to see if you would be granted your visa because you will NOT be granted the visa on your next application no matter how hard you try.

After you have found out your stand about the implication of the fake bank document, then you can follow the appeal process should it turn out that you have actually been banned or keep trying to reapply and writing the full explanation on the section on why you were refused the visa in your previous application , if you have not been banned. To appeal the ban, you would need to work with a lawyer and be determined to pursue it to the loose ends. It would be tough and stressful but if you have the dream or desire to really get educated in the United States , it would be something to try. Otherwise completely look away and try other countries.

In all no one knows how things would turn tomorrow and you could still make it down to the US even after the ban. Bans last for 10 years and there’s no guarantee your sins would be forgotten even after the duration of the ban!

Don't let anybody deceive you, America without GA or a legit source of tuition or out of state waiver is hard. Its hell on earth. If they tell you, you will hustle an average of $9000/semester out, its a lie. No way, think before you leap.

Applying again is a waste of time. He's banned already. He can only try to appeal The decision within the next one year (Don't know how this is done or how possible it is). The case is beyond worse.

Hello house! Please I need help from those who have been through what I'm experiencing at the moment. My interview was on July 25th in Abj. I was placed on Administrative Processing for nearly two weeks and when I checked the CEAC site on the 6th of August I saw 'Refused'. I felt really bad, can't lie about that but I didn't know the scary part was incoming. I went to pick up my passport and besides the pink paper, there was this white paper attached and there was one part where "Fake bank documents" was handwritten. My uncle who's also my sponsor kept assuring me that the statement of account was legit even though I asked him twice before I was refused. I can swear anyday, anytime that I had no idea the statement wasn't legit. Throughout my school days I no even get mind carry expo enter exam hall not to talk of presenting an altered statement of account to the US embassy that is thorough. I don't have one fraudulent bone in me. The problem is I don't know if I have been banned cos the VO warned me I'd be banned if the statement isn't authentic. Please what do I do now? I'm so confused and in a very bad place right now. The US embassy is not a place you can walk in to iron issues out. I sent a mail several days ago and still no reply. Some people are encouraging me not to wait too long before trying again so I wouldn't look guilty (with a different sponsor tho). Others think I should just give it time before trying again so I don't look suspicious when I bring two different statement of accounts from different sponsors within a short period of time. Please anybody with an idea should feel free to chip in. If you have been through something similar and you don't want to say anything here, please email me. I feel lost right now.
