I am a Nigerian and this is NAIRALAND. I can comment on any thread I want. If you don't want non-Igbos commenting on Igbo topics, I suggest you guys should switch over to BIAFRALAND forum or some other dark net Igbo online forum. Capiche? Story! Story! Story! Hahahaha! You're shameless! I got you by the balls and that's your excuse now? Looks like an Igbo man bought your father's house after doing business a few years in your place. Or maybe one of them took your girlfriend because you were too broke to compete? Hahahaha! Just engage them a little and you'll see they're fighting igbos because of resentment and jealousy, not because they care about their country. I thought you were smart and I decided to have a little argument with you, but it's obvious you cry blue murder like the rest because of resentment and jealousy, not because you love your country or because Biafra wants to include the SS. We may hate other tribes like you said(not true entirely) but we don't hate the SS. The massive support we gave GEJ in 2015 elections can attest to that. So, take your jealousy and resentment and shove it where the sun don't shine. Small breeze don blow and your nyansh don open. Let me kukuma face yoruba people, at least they have a valid reason for going against Biafra. So long. |

Emycord: when will Nigeria let these real Igbo's silence ipob in a referendum . why fear since real Igbo's are with in majority Abeg o! I'm waiting for them to grant the real igbos referendum so they can vote against Biafra, but they're yet to do it. The other day, Arewa youths said the Igbo leaders should not be silent or else it means they're in support of IPOB. If IPOB is filled with miscreants like they always try to make us believe, why can't state governors arrest them? But if any Igbo leader with a bright future tries it, he'll lose his respect and position in Igbo land. Ngige is currently a nobody in the east and he lost the governorship election and his seat in the Senate, just because he wasn't in support of his own people. Biafra is in the hearts and minds of every Igbo man. |

Take your innate hate and spread it amongst yourselves. There's no hate there. It's the simple truth. Infact, the only person with hate is you. Jumping on every Igbo thread and then arguing and crying over Biafra. I can understand the Hausas and Yorubas, but since you claim to be from 'SS' what's your problem with Biafra? You label me a hater, yet you're worse. Your next line of defence will be IPOB's inclusion of SS to its map, but we all know no one can be forced to join. So, what's your reason for hate? |

Basic123: DELUSION
Every ordnary NIGERIANs want them to go.
Hold the government responsible:
-GEJ government of okonjo iweala, anyim pius anyim and stella oduah and ekweremadu
-Buahri government of chris ngige, ognonanya onu and ekweremadu.
stop blaming unconcerned individuals for your problems, especially afonjas Every ordinary Nigerian want them to go? This comment is the most ridiculous comment I've ever heard. They want igbos to go and yet, they carry ipob matter for head? Seun banned IPOB topics at first, but then he realised the traffic it drives to his site is too good to ignore and now he pushes them to the front page more than any other thing. The reason why Biafra and IPOB hasn't faded away is because of the way the rest of Nigerians vehemently opposes it. Believe me, if they supported it or gave Ultimatum jointly like the northerners did, half of the Biafran supporters would probably think about what they would lose and withdraw their support. But since it's opposed by every other Nigerian, the Igbos realised their importance to Nigeria and the agitation has increased. Don't talk about our politicians, they have a lot to lose, so they would never support Biafra. Egypt and Libya did not need their politicians for the revolution and neither do we. Our voices must be heard whether our politicians like it or not. |

fratermathy: You lie for saying only Yorubas want restructuring. I'm from the SS and I can confidently tell you that most, if not all, the non-Igboid minorities want restructuring. It's only Igbos that want to leave this country.
Besides, don't be quick to undermine a region. Niger Republic is Hausa dominated and they are doing even much better than Ngeiria. Why do you think the North won't do better independently too? The SS want restructuring because they believe disintegration is impossible without war. If they were offered their own country, they would gladly take it. The West can manage on their own with difficulty, because of what they have on ground, but not the north. They will die of hunger, diseases etc. Do you know how much of our budget that goes to the north? billions! Where are they gonna get the money? From selling tomatoes? One more thing, Igbos may not be up to 50 million like the other guy said, but we're definitely more than the 30 million you wrote. How can we be 30 million and yet we're the largest in every state apart from the indigenes? And don't give me that bull about Igbos travelling a lot, others travel out too. |

fratermathy: Oniovo me! Mavor?
Don't mind them. Even in Npower, Igbos are the main beneficiaries. They are everywhere and enjoy Nigeria far more than us that bring wealth to it, yet they say they are marginalised! Such an irony!
The problem with them is that they want to dominate but Hausas and Yorubas are checkmating them. That's why they need a Biafra with minorities so that they can dominate totally. They no longer want to enjoy Nigeria again, that's why they're agitating. We want Hausas and Yorubas to takeover, but most of them are afraid. They claim it's because SS will join us, but the truth is, SS people want to stay on their own. The rest of Nigerians are useless without these two zones and that's why they would fight to death for Nigeria to be one. That's why the Yorubas mainly prefer restructuring, that way, they can have their cake and eat it. The Hausas on the other hand know it doesn't favour them and it's a huge step to disintegration, so they would never allow it to go through. You can tell yourself something else, but it's the simple truth. |

Businessideas: You can argue that it is pacesetter of Home movie and most likely the English-Igbo genre of Nigerian films but definitely not Nollywood. As at when it came,Nigeria and Nigerians have made their mark in the entertainment world. Please read about the likes of Campbell, Olu Jacobs etc who are Nigerians who have acted in major international films and the great artists that represented Nigeria globally before , during and after Festac '77. It's insulting to delete their efforts and contributions because you weren't born then Oh! I'm not arguing. It's the pacesetters of Nollywood. Others were warming up, while "Living in Bondage" took the Bull by the horns. I watched Zebrudaya, Things fall apart and even checkmate then, but they were nothing compared to living in Bondage. But since it's not acted or produced by Yorubas, it'll be hard for you to accept. Your people can never appreciate others except their own. You proved me right by using Olu Jacobs as an example when there are other actors during that time. So, jump up and down like a flea on a hot plate, it won't change anything. BabaAduras: Point of correction, I have no hatred for the Igbos. In fact some of my closest friends are Igbos. My best friend is married to a wonderful Igbo woman. I do tell then the same thing I am trying to pass across to you and your fellow IPOBs demanding a state of Biafra - while I respect your right to self rule, a right to Biafra if you so wish, you should be ready to face the sacrifice that is required to break away from Nigeria. It is going to come at a huge price. You should be able to bear the consequences of it, the consequences are going to be humongous.
I don't think 95% of you really know what you want nor are really prepared to bear the consequences of your demand. You definitely don't understand and you are not ready to face reality if you can say "you will still have Biafrans in Nigeria whether you like it or not". Who will make that call? Biafrans or Nigerians? Wake up. I said be careful what you ask for. As you have the right to demand Biafra, so do the remaining Nigerians have the right to demand you leave their country, Nigeria. The truth is you can't be controlling Biafra and still expect to have a say in Nigeria. You can't "eat your cake and have it". There will not be anybody that is Biafran-Nigerian nor Nigerian-Biafran. It is either you are Nigerian or you are a Biafran.
Most of you seat in the comfort of your room and post demands for the state of Biafra on social media without thinking of what it will cost you to attain Biafra. You think it is just enough to say we want Biafra and everybody will just say ok have your Biafra and still continue to do your business in Ladipo, Alaba, Kaduna, Kano and even Abuja or Diobu in Portharcourt for that matter. That is dreaming, that is not reality my friend. The reality is you will seize to be Nigerians thus will have no say in Nigeria. Nigeria and Nigerians might even close it borders to you, you have no control over that decision because you are no more Nigerians. Do you remember what happened during "Ghana must go", this time, it will be "Igbo must go". That is what Arewa is already telling you.
That is the reality my dear friend whether you abuse me or not. Think logically, not with emotions. Always the same tired ass line..."My closest friends are Igbos ". Lol Abeg, you guys should come up with some other line. This one is getting old. If I had a single yoruba person I call a friend, close or casual, I won't diss or hate on their people for any reason. In your own case, you have "close" Igbo friends and yet, you come online to spew hate and insult them. I'd rather be alone than have your type as friends. |

Brendaniel: In as much as i am not against biafra, however i feel igbos have not addressed their major problems before agitating for biafra, biafra is like a marriage between a man and a woman where there is no going back after it's achievement, if the couples problems are not addressed before marriage they will suffer so much in that marriage and might never even recover from it, that was what happened to nigeria when lord lugard started the process and eventually achieved the creation of Nigeria as a nation and look at what we have today .
Igbos have pressing issues that needs to be addressed, if not addressed, their situation could be worse than Nigeria, liberia and sierra leone put together....
1. Igbos are the least united trybe in Nigeria,(forget about the agitation for biafra, they are only united out of hatred for the hausas and when biafra is achieved the hatred continues).
2. Igbos don't have respect for their leaders, especially traditional rulers most especially when money is involved, money is king in igbo land, have money and you can do and undo.
3. Igbos mentality about money is one of the worst in Nigeria, that's why they have the highest number of cocaine carriers in Nigeria.
4. They don't hold their political leaders accountable like the westerners, i would leave the north out of this because that is their way, but easterners who claim to be better are not anyway better because they will still be the ones fighting the FG when one of their leader is arrested for looting and be shouting witch hunt.
5. Igbos betray themselves more than any other tribe when money is involved, even Ojukwu did not get the support he needed from igbos when he was alive and even when he wanted to contest for presidency, he was not even so respected by the so-called igbo elites because a lot of them had money than him, something that can never happen in the north nor the west...
I can go on and on but the truth is biafra to me is a good agenda when you look at the situation of nigeria but igbos should do their homework first to avoid irreversible problems..... You gave one of the most silly reasons I've ever seen in my entire life! Igbos having no respect for their elders and their love of money is enough reason for them not to want Biafra? These ngbatis are truly nuts! Igbos are not United and yet, millions of their people are agitating for Biafra? You guys are quick to support the few selfish igbos who want Nigeria to remain the same, while ignore the millions of people who believe in freedom(Biafra). Keep piling up reasons. Your people should come out openly and say they can't do without the Igbos, instead of hiding in the shadows and giving all sorts of silly reasons. |
