Travel / Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 6 by stev007(m): 4:28am On Dec 09, 2014
Hello everyone. I saw this thread last week just days before my interview. Was at d embassy on friday 5th December. Here is how it went down.

V0: Hi good morning and smiling to me
Me: Good morning I replied smiling back at her
V0: How was ur nite
Me: It was fine thanks and urs?
V0: It was great.
V0: So ur goin to university of xyz
me: Yes I am for my undergraduate degree in xyz
V0: ok. How did u get to know about the school
me: my professor referred the school to me due to the school's ongoing research on my field of study and I also went online to research further on the school (for my mind I knew that was a lie buh anything to make my case look strong would be chipped in)
V0: When did u finish ur secondary education
me: 2006
V0: So wat have u bin doing since then? (I was prepared for this question since I was going for my 2nd undergraduate degree)
me: Well, I finished my secondary education in 2006, gained admission to a reputable federal university in d western part of Nigeria also in 2006, graduated in 2011, went for the mandatory national youth service in 2012, finished it in 2013 and started writing my professional exams in my new field.
V0: So you have bin under continuous educational environment since you finished your secondary education in 2006
me: Yes I have
V0: How many schools did you apply to
me: 5 schools
V0: Oh really? Which schools
me: I recited the schools like a poem
V0: So why did you choose this particular school
ME: The school is d best ranked among the 5 schools that I applied to in my field of study and am also particularly interested in the school's ongoing research in the area of forensic and fraud as it relates to business management and internal control.
V0: Wow. Am impressed. So who is going to sponsor you
me: My dad
V0: what does he do
me: he is a business executive at xyz multinational company in Ogun state
V0: Oh really? **Punches her keyboard for some time**Your going to need this at other stages during your travel and stay in the United States so keep it safe alright***returns my I-20 to me while smiling** and your visa will be ready in... (at this point I wasn't even sure what else she was saying cos of happiness)
me: Ok thanks. I then collected the 2 white papers that she gave me. one was address of pick up location and the other was a flyer on orientation at the embassy for intending students.

NB//I wasn't asked why I wanted to do a second undergraduate degree, or my toefl or ielts or what is the salary of my dad or his bank account or proof of his ability to sponsor me. I believe from the little I saw that embassy must have already made up their minds at least 50% on whether to issue a Visa or not and d interview is just to convince and confirm their initial assessment of the application. However, the most important factor is God. If he says yes, no one can say no. God bless you all. Success to others.

Technology Market / Re: FAKE Samsung Galaxy S4 Is All Over Ikeja....don't Be SCAMMED!!! by stev007(m): 9:24am On Jan 02, 2014
Great job Op, also here are a few tips to note wen buying any samsung s4 especially d so-called 'london used' at computer village

Be sure you are familiar wit d fone either from pressing a friend's own or dat of a relation. Its only wen ur very familiar wit a fone that u can detect tins that are not supposed to be there. Eg a person dat has used iphone or nokia all his life can neva detect a fake s4 and vice versa. Imagine seeing a radio on an s4, an iphone or nokia user won't knw dat s4 does not come wit radio.
Never go alone to buy it as you might be in a hurry or excited state becos of the cheap price ur getting it and therefore overlook or forget to do d basic checks on d fone.
Those boys at Cv are as smart as u are so most of the time they won't charge the fone ba3 very well. They ll intentional leave d fone on low ba3 and tell u to check d fone quick quick b4 d ba3 dies off, this will make u not check all the necessary tins u need to check.
Finally, before going to buy a fone, first write down a list of wat to check in d fone eg the memory size, camera picture quality, sound, d company logo etc.

Pardon my language Mr Cork but you are either plain stupid or simply retarded. So what if we ve never being to london. Does it make us less human or less successful? I ve being to Paris in France, I ve being to Andalucian region in Spain, and Naples, Milan and the island of Sicily in Italy. I could mention other places that I ve visited but I fear I might start sounding like you. Your not the first to leave the shores of Nigeria and you definitely won't be the last. After experiencing racism from foreigners abroad, should I or kemi or others be subjected to another round of it from you, our own flesh and blood? Am happy for you if you are really in London but don't rub it to our faces like its a trophy. Once again sir, apologies if you find my choice of words abusive. I hope your slavery-induced inferior mentality leaves you. This thread is for beyonce and her baby, not about talks of London from an arrogant self deluded street urchin living in The Smoke..Ciao

Romance / Rules That Guys Wish Girls Knew by stev007(m): 9:53pm On Nov 06, 2012
Rules that Guys Wish Girls Knew

After reading this, watch out for the rebuttal from the ladies...
1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an
answer you don't want to hear.
2. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us (besides,
we're not suicidal enough to answer anything other than "no"
anyway)
3. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are
prepared to discuss topics such as sex, football, PS3 and
carburetors.
4. Shopping is not a sport
5. Anything you wear is fine. Really
6. You have enough clothes and too many shoes
7. Ask for what you want. Subtle hints don't work.
8. No, we don't know what day it is. We never will. Mark
anniversaries on a calendar.

9. Most guys own two or three pairs of shoes -- what makes
you think we'd be any good at choosing which pair, out of
thirty, would look good with your dress?
10. Crying is blackmail. Use it if you must, but don't expect us
to fall for it.
11. Don't fake it. We'd rather be ineffective than deceived.
12. Let us take quick glances at other girls. If we don't look at other women, how can we
know how pretty you are.

13. Anything we said 6 or 8 months ago is inadmissible in an
argument. All comments become null and void after 7 days.
14. If something we said can be interpreted two ways, and one
of the ways makes you sad and angry, we meant the other
one.
15. We're not telepathic. We can't read your mind, so don't
blame us for not knowing something you expected us to
know without telling us. Conversely, you aren't telepathic
either, so don't get mad about what you think we're thinking,
because your guess is probably wrong.

Politics / Re: Chief Justice Caught Driving On BRT Lane by stev007(m): 1:22pm On Oct 13, 2012
In a civilize society, such an infraction would cost her her job and at the same time made to face the wrath of the law. The chief justice of the federation, who knows, and suppose to uphold the law to the letter. No, that cant be. I relish to see what will be the final outcome of this matter. Governor
Fashola, who coincidentaly is a SAN,should be all ears and
live by your example by making sure that the law takes its
course. This is the only way we can show the common man
on the street that the law is no respecter of man. In the first
case, the chief justice cannot claim to be ignorant of the law which unfortunately, is no excuse in law. Here we come
again, the Nigeria factor. One rule for the big man/woman,
another rule for the poor masses. This cannot be in a society where we are striving to uphold what is obtainable in a civilize society.
By the way, if this woman is a person of integrity, she should throw in the towel by resigning with immediate effect. If am allowed to comment on her behaviour, l, m afraid,l will say, she is a disgrace to the bench and the judiciary she heads.
