The next question you should ask yourself is will the North be able to swallow the bitter peel and vote an Igbo man as Vice president based on antecedent and current racial abuses always directed to them by the Igbos....I live in Kano to be precise but I don't see Atiku getting 30% vote from the core north with this except middle belt and Christian Hausa's....Being realistic Buhari is in lead now by voting power...not online supporters....

North are not voting for an ibo man for presidency. Atiku is a northerner, a Muslim. This una line is getting stale

I can also tell you that you may not get funding now but there are lots of avenues there to get funded. so many research labs in d sch. Take the chance... you won't regret it.

Personal Opinion: I think it will be worth it. USA has alot of top schools and because some of the schools don't make it to the top doesn't mean they are not good. Energy engineering will be a great course as you will get be exposed to a variety of aspects as it pertains to renewable energy systems. Whether you decide to go the academia or industry, that course will be useful.

After checking the link above, I was impressed with the course content. If you have the means to fund your education, please do. It will be worth it. Renewable energy research is well funded and it is also multidisciplinary

Funding: None
I have always thought that if one should sponsor one's education abroad, that should be at a top school. Though, I have sponsors, I am afraid if the huge cost of study at UMASS lowell will worth it at the end since it's not considered a top school in USA.
Your kind advice would be appreciated

Mathias, the average Igbo person doesn't hate Urhobo. I can guarantee you that very few Igbo people differentiate between Ijaw, Urhobo, Itsekiri and Isoko. One of my best friends till date is Urhobo. I can confidently tell you he's like a brother to me. Right now I live in Yenagoa and my landlady is an Urhobo woman. Fantastic lady she is and we have an excellent relationship. She hardly takes a decision without consulting me.

Where exactly did you dig out the phantom hatred from? How many Igbos have you had a personal encounter with? In what ways did they show you hatred? The problem with most minority tribes in the South is that their real enemies did a good job of brainwashing them about Igbos. You grew up being taught to be wary of the Igbo man.

My uncle was a buafran solider likewise my best friend grandfather was equally a biafran solider and one thing I heard from both despite signing up in completely different areas is that biafran soliders were ppl that signed up, none were forced to join especially kids. Ironically my best friend grandfather is an Ibibio who signed up in akwa ibom and was stationed predominately in akwa ibom area.

Actually, both Dogara and Saraki's emergence were made possible by....PDP chaps from the SE and SS.

I disagree with your submittion that "PDP goofed" by not norminating their candidate for Senate Presidency, if they had tried it, they(PDP) would have lost out completely, because as at that material time, time was of essence.If PDP had norminated a candidate, they would have started an election,at the process the APC members would have arrived to team up against PDP or cause pandimonium on the floor,which probably would have put the inauguration at a halt.The fact that Saraki was unopposed, saved the day for PDP at that material time.
PDP refusal to norminate a candidate for SP,further set APC against APC, which is a big plus for them.
The game was well played by PDP.
