Analgesics are divided into 2 groups:NSAIDs(non steroid anti-inflammatory drugs) and Opiods (this also has sub division).Their mechanism of action and indications are different.Opioid are for moderate to severe pain.

Yes, we have already established tramadol can never be a steroid. That's why it is Non-steroidal.
As long as you understand Tramadol did not cause seizures in the young man I'm cool with that.

I usually classify non steroid pain killers under the NSAIDs. It all depends on the environment you work. Are u a pharmacist ? Apologies then.

As for seizures...I never said its impossible but I said it could increase the risk. In the case of the young man it was clearly febrile seizure due to untreated malaria. Comprende ?

Yeah, I am. Always be vigilant to signs and symptoms of malaria. Everyone has their own give away sign. Mine is bitter taste in the mouth and drowsiness in the daytime.
Failure to start antimalarials on time may lead to high fever, seizures, and cerebral malaria.

Tramadol is actually supposed to bring down a fever its antipyretic. Abuse may increase the risk of high fever but your case was caused by severe untreated malaria.
So in other cases, they might also have had an underlying health issue.

I still haven't seen anyone here with extreme addiction. . .i suffered tramadol addiction until the day i had seizure as a result of excess and regular tramadol in take, i was rushed to the hospital unconscious, after the test, nurses said my "fainting" was cause i had malaria ( they called seizure fainting)... i didn't have to go through the OP's long withdrawal methods... Lol....but i suffered withdrawal for weeks, nobody told me to stop. The addiction is so real! Don't try it please!

Your seizure could have been due to a high fever, above 38.5 C (febrile seizure) I doubt it was due to Tramadol.

I don't know why tramadol is such a 'hard' drug in this country..it will eventually destroy your kidneys, yes. But pain relief/high I don't see its efficacy.

I used to be addicted to IM Pentazocine (self-administered), for an old injury...its better than Morphine but you will still throw up if you exceed your limit.

The part about Northerner and tramadol is very true ! My maigad about 5 different ones were all doing Tram and local gin. Its like a culture for those guys.

I don't think any sane thinking Nigerian would not want to pay for power supply that works for the first time in 35 years. But nobody is buying into this old methodology of raise prices, make them pay more and tell them more stories later. I think Nigerians have had enough of that.
How many times were the tariff reviewed in last 15 years, 6, 7 times ? and what have they got to show for it.


Get power working at all costs, find the funds, investors are looking for where to pour funds all the time. Get it working and charge what you need. Who can live without electricity ?

The owners of private power simply don't want to do this because of the process of awarding these companies was corrupt from the word go.
