BlaqCoffee109: Yeah, I know... I know...i feel you on that But on a more disturbing note, when you have these kind of experiences, it can be considered a sign of contamination in your bloodline. If you were dedicated or your ancestor was dedicated to any strange deity these things become a part of you - I mean paranormal experiences like strange dreams etc. Osun goddess gives children to the barren. Do you think these children are like your basic human kid ? Lol ! If anyone in your family tree was "given" as a child to their parents, you can expect the effects to last generations. You need deliverance....mermaid lady |

But if everyone else can do that also, where's my advantage.
That's my question. But I said, if YOU could do that while OTHERS Could not. YOU WOULD have an astronomical an unfair advantage over the rest. Check it, I said it. |

BlaqCoffee109: ..oh well, discuss for some other time... my personal take on this past life is... not everyone has a past life.. secondlythe people who did probably were not done with a particular task... thirdly, we already existed in the thought of GOD... passing through this earth plane is the fulfilment of that thought Not everyone has a past life...you're right. Some people can never relate to this no matter what. But I feel I've been here before....not everyone has to feel that way. |

jayriginal: Oh come on!
You're the one who doesn't get it. Go back to the part I quoted and address it. You were explaining why people aren't born with memories of previous lives weren't you?
You argued that it would give one tremendous advantage. I'm not saying it wouldn't, I'm saying if one were to be born with prebirth memories, then all would be born with prebirth memories. No advantage.
You're one to talk about someone not getting it. In that case, the advantage is even greater. You spend the first 15 years of your life learning how to be a person in a world like this and by the time your 20 you realise you really haven't learned anything at all...but what is the age of your soul ? Do you know where your soul has been ? the wonderful things it has experienced before coming here ? Your soul (pre birth) has acquired more knowledge than microcosm that is earth. But here you are, struggling with day to day mundane earthly issues. If you had access to such knowledge of what you truly are would you struggle for anything at all ? Think about it ? |

BlaqCoffee109: that word "reincarnation " ! Yes I know it doesn't stick well with many pentecostals. But they're many arguments that have Jesus talking about re-incarnation in the gospels. For example, the disciples asked Jesus if a certain man was crippled as a result of his "father's sin". Some take that to be a euphemism for reincarnation. Jews all over the world believe in reincarnation. A popular saying amon them : "A man without children is already dead". Again, Jesus never took up any scribes or scholars on the subject, rejecting or condemning it. But In Hebrews, Saint Paul asserts that "it is appointed for man to die once..." And that is where the controversy lie. |

jayriginal: It's like this, you're saying adding ten marks will give a person an advantage.
I'm saying there would be no advantage if everyone else got the same ten marks.
Whether or not I buy into this has nothing to do with the validity of the argument. I'm saying if you knew mistakes you made in a previous life, you probably wouldn't repeat them in your current life and as a result you can save yourself a lot of time, stress and even create good fortune for yourself. Most of the mistakes we make today we also made before in a previous life, this is why a soul can reincarnate multiple times till it learns a particular lesson. I don't think you get it, do you ? |

bigfrancis21: My best guess for this memory would be leaving the afterlife for earth, or passing or 'falling' through the tunnel to earth - the same tunnel NDErs report passing through after death to the afterlife. Interesting. A decade ago, I was dying in A&E in a European hospital, I was drowning in my own body fluids my lungs were filled. A bad reaction to a flu medication. I was in pain, but the A&E nurses thought I was a drug addict trying to score some morphine. My cousin was screaming that I was medical but they did even look our way cos they could tell we were Nigerian...maybe trying to play the system... I told my cousin goodbye, it was too hard to breathe at that point...I stopped struggling, waiting for the Tunnel of light...floating...angelic escorts...but nothing...just silence..and grey... I then asked myself...grim reaper woke me up at 3am and now he's fashied me...and then the OXYGEN MASK was slapped rudely on my face ! It was clear then it wasn't my time. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Pre-birth Memories - Life Before Birth by stevecantrell: 4:04pm On Mar 10, 2016 |
LoJ: All thanks should be directed to God alone.
My humble advice is, don't force it. For most people it would be very disturbing if the veil is lifted.
Just focus on your spiritual development. When the right time comes, the veil shall be lifted, and you shall be granted access to the records of God.
And the way to spiritual development has nothing to do with a church or a religion. It is simply learning to love everyone, as yourself. Practice love, live by love, breathe love. As you do that, your base instincts such as lust, anger, revenge, wickedness, pride, jalousy, etc. will loose their grip over your soul. You will become a more and more loving person and righteous soul. And you will gradually live in accord with the laws of the universe. You will attract spiritual helpers, teachers to you, and your light will shine.
Then, it will be quite easy for you to remember past lives. You would have reached a state of purity and goodness, and the knowledge of the past, will not harm you in anyway.
I wish you all that is pure and noble.
Greetings. Exactly loj There's a reason why these things are sequestered from our memories. I think it is both to humble us and also protect us and protect others too. The main reason we are prone to mistakes in this life is mostly because we don't 'remember' any better from past experiences gathered from past existence. |

DaveAnte1: Nigeria will always be a third world shiithole .For example, Mr Akpabio of akwa ibom embezzled over $14 billion dollars ,and yet he is worshipped by nigerians as the best thing since slice bread. Infact you might be vilified for daring to expose the truth -How dare you - dont you know he is my brother and we belong to the same political party and he is the best thing since slice bread? ,All the meaningless and unsustainable white elephant projects he executed amounts to just $700 million or 5 % of the accrued funds, and has has absolutely no impact on the welfare of the subjects. The akwa ibom is one of the most poverty stricken states. Where's the 14 billion dollars? it's in secret underground bunkers. Where's the justice?where's the alleged fight against the corruption if such an individual is not only allowed to walk free but holds the seat of senator in an obviously deadly and fraudulent election. Where's accountability? where's justice? All of these are symptoms of a failed third world nation. The judges and crime investigators themselves are incredibly corrupt. what a hopeless nation. These and many more reasons are why Nigeria will always be a third world shiithole.Take it or leave it . Nigeria will rise again..but first there will be thermonuclear war...that's it ! |

BlaqCoffee109: yeah...what does it mean? I will tell you what I believe. I believe when you arrive on this planet, a barrier of unconsciousness is created to deliberately keep you from knowing the state of your previous existence, so you can start on a completely blank slate. Imagine if you knew what you were, who you were and where you where before being born ? Imagine the kind of power and advantage that level of consciousness would give you over others ? It would be astronomical and very unfair. So, the memory is restricted. However, you may get flashbacks or dreams that take you back briefly but when you wake up, you cannot make sense out of it. Sometimes, you see someone and you say I know this person but I can't remember the name. Sometimes you visit a place the first time and say I've been here before ! This is the de ja vu. |

BlaqCoffee109: hmmm, bigfrancis21..i got a question for you on this..how do one regain the reality before this earthly plane existence? In the absence of bigfrancis21, I will say what I know about this...it is almost impossible to achieve that level of consciousness while wearing this 'earth suit'. However, hypno-therapists have developed a technique called 'regression' to refresh memories of a past life or other earthly existence. Although widely thought to be controversial, regression as helped some understand that the suffering they currently experience in this life , could have been as a result of some negative choices made in a previous life. Its also important not confuse, reincarnation and past earthly life with pre-birth existence. it is very hard to 'remember', only a lucky few may have clarity on who they were and where before birth on earth. |

DaveAnte1: I myself I'm American born and raised ,although my background is Oron and I lived in calabar and Oron for about 4 years . I've visited about 34 countries and I have basic understanding of Spanish ,French and Swedish,Oron,Efik . My iewpoint is based on my personal experience and outlook. the difference between Nigeria and the United states ,Canada,Australia new Zealand is the fact that Nigeria is an ethnic nation. In the United states ,a Californian or Oregonian can contest for election in Florida or Colorado. there's no sense of roots here. if my child is born and raised in Portland Oregon or Dallas Texas,he or she simply adopts that place as their origin. So therefore,if you are from Illinois,it doesn't matter if you are white or black or Latino or chinese ,you and Barrack Obama have something in common because you are both from Illinois in this regard. The reason we can't do like the Americans are a mixture of prejudice, distrust and pathological sense of entitlement by a particular tribe. |
