I'm not against Fash becoming a minister, after all PMB has limited options and in the absence of saints, a performing sinner would do.

However, as the OP rightly opined, Fashola only gave more fuel to allegations against him by the style of answers he gave. And as such, there were so many points the members of the upper house could have taken him up on, but didn't.

Fashola ought to have been griilled but he got a free pass. I would have loved to see him sweat it out, at least before they let him go.

I totally share your sentiment on the above.

However, I was referring and questioning the OP's concept of "FREEDOM" and "making his own rules" in his post above.
I see no harm and being "FREE" and making your own rules as long as that doesn't impact negatively on your fellow human.

I know a few folks who took a similar decision and took an abysmal plunge as far as morality is concerned. Its uncommon but I've seen it happen.
