edoman2016: You are a joker. You are comparing a country of 180 million population (huge market) and second largest economy in Africa with Mozambique. In every economic indices, Nigeria is richer and far ahead of Mozambique. Mozambique is a country ranked among the poorest countries in the world.
Despite our high population of 186 million, our per capita GDP of $2,177.99 is double of Mozambique's. Note: the population of Mozambique is just 30 million. It implies an average Nigerian have more income to spend than an average Mozambican.
I am sure you don't know anything about starting and running a business when you said you have got 80℅ chance of succeeding in Mozambique compared to Nigeria. An entrepreneur will want to establish his business in a country with good middle class and disposable income to spend on goods and services. How can it be possible in Mozambique when they are the 7th poorest country in the world? What is the purchasing power of their citizens? After South Africa, Nigeria is a very big investment attraction to foreign investor. Mr Economist, you are sick upstairs sir!Sorry sir. Electricity 24/7 and good roads drive the economic of every nation. You are there talking about population,do you know the percentage of Nigerian's population that are suffering, Having a generator, you mean that is the best way to drive an economic of any nation abi Guy your opinion is not needed okay! |

Sirfemisky: I am a victim of child bully back then in secondary. I wasted more than 5 years staying indoor after my secondary. The shame and stigma was too much for to bear. All my classmates are graduates, some are married and living fine. I am 30 years with just OND working in a private school. I thought of going for my HND but i cant because i cant bear the shame. I blamed my parents for what happend to me. Each time i set my eyes on them i just feel like killing them but i have managed to control my anger. They failed me as parents forgetting that the best gift a parent can give to their child is to help them build and grow their self confidence while growing up. I have come to realised that as an adult, i have to erase that bad programming i received as a child but the guilt is killing me. people now see me as a mentally degenerated person including my parents. I just want to leave this country and search a better life somewhere else.. Please help me out My brother, don't listen to any one who says you should stay back in this evil country. Your parents didn't fail you but the country did. Please pardon your parents.Make plans with the money and jet out.All the best. |

sreamsense: Op, if you want to weep for Nigeria or yourself @59, you can keep weeping. It is your choice, others will have their own reasons also to celebrate! Among all the beautiful and positive pictures and events in Nigeria, these are the only ones you could find. The pictures do not reflect real Nigeria, there is no country of the world that do not have slum areas, poor people or problem they are facing internally. Even though we are not there yet as a nation, there are still rooms for improvement from government and all of us. Instead of carrying camera hunting for terrible events to snap, do little help practically to help people around you to get better lifes. No government can do it all. Trump many of us see as semi-god is facing his own with America, gun shooting and killing has increased in his first tenure despite tagging it as land of opportunity. We are the cause of our problems most times, when government provide chairs, some bad people and staffs will go and steal them and later blame government. All of us should play our parts so we can have better Nigeria. Parents should give birth to children they have financial resources and moral capability to cater for, they shouldn't give birth recklessly and expect God to take care of them on their behalves. Our leaders should play their parts well by governing right, entertainers should be good role models and they should stop modelling bad youths into our societies. Government workers should desist from eye-service, they should work with fear of God. Doctors and lecturers should stop selling little equipment and drugs government provided to laboratories and hospitals. Jobless individual should be more hardworking and get lawfull plan B to get little income without engaging in stealing, kidnapping and other attrocity. Poverty is never an excuse to engage in crime, we have poor people who do not engage in stealing while we have rich people with billions in their accounts who are still stealing and claiming other people's properties. Government should discharge his own duties and govern with constitution and fear of God. We will get there! I pity you and your generation man! |

fkj950ax: This is not proper. If people post something, it's not your place to judge them. This is a main reason why engagement on the thread has slowed down. People just stay on the fringe because of attacks like this. Just respond to the issue and leave her personal business alone. That's African mentality and that's why we're still here. |

fkj950ax: No you cant sleep at the embassy. Why did you pick a 645am slot? There is 10k hotel at Obalende axis, or Lagos Island proper. Find a friend in Lagos who will accommodate you, Yaba, Surulere, Obalende axis, give him the 10k. Take Uber and Taxify at 6am. You'd be there 645am... Options are endless Thanks my brother. |
