Family / Re: I Hit My Wife by stevenchiil(m): 10:33am On Dec 16, 2019
Ekene161829:
I did something I really regret. My wife and I have an amazing marriage, 2 years of marriage and we are blessed with a 7-month-old baby girl.

She is 28 and I almost 33. Last Saturday I got invited to go out by some of my work friends , I got home late 2am, so madam wasn't happy. She was yelling at me, throwing hands and screaming at me. I ignored her and left the room to the living room but she followed me and I asked her to leave me alone but she kept going which made me angry.

I took the back of my hand and gave her a slap on the mouth. She cried out and held her face and started crying and her lips was bleeding. I didn't intentionally hurt her, I just wanted to calm her down since ignoring her was not working. I said sorry, and I was literally on my knees begging her. I tried to hold her but she refused.
The rest of the night was me repeating apology or i didn't mean to hurt you. She ignored me . She went into our room and locked the door.

She was in there for a long time and the next morning, her mother and older brother was at the house and she came out of the room with her and our baby stuff and she said she was leaving me for good. I told her how sorry I was but her mother told me to get out of their faces and they left the house.

I feel so ashamed and I've never done anything like this before and I never thought I would. I don't want to loose my wife and baby. I need both of them back. Should I attempt to contact her?

What do I do?
OP seriously u messed up by slapping your wife but am glad u have profusely apologized but on no condition should u go to her family and beg because it's an insult to u as a husband that the mother would come pick her daughter without making an effort at crisis management.

emmykk:

With the banned of 41 items including rice such businesses became lucrative to make huge profit because they are hot cake.

when custom unlawfully seize some imported rice recently heaven was let loose, people were bashing customs, for allowing the items only to break shop and seize them, now that they are doing their job nigerians will still complain.

Those importers have no chill they kill custom officers too so whoever dies first dont blame anyone.

lets leave foriegn rice alone let grow the naira by consuming local rice is that too hard for nigerians? you want the dollar to go down but you keep buying imported rice.

Now yoruba people are quick to say illegal refinery and bunkering is not good but they use advantage of the closeness to the border to import contrabane and get rich quick.

rice is cheap in lagos and ogun because of these illegal activities compare to any place x,the same way kerosene is cheap in portharcourt than anywhere x.

i stand with custom on this if it smuggle rice.

let the smuggle business be do or die

if I curse u now people will complain whether smuggled or not no human has d right to take another's man life

"BOO K" Ignorance is lock, book is the key They say the 21st century illiterate isn't the one who can read and write but the one who can't learn, unlearn and re- learn. But it will amaze you how many people don't read nor can write well. The popular saying still holds true "if you want to hide anything from a black man keep it in a book and he did never find it". I once heard of a story of a young man who was given a book to read and unknown to him there were money kept in different chapters of the book for him and when the book was collected back from him, the money was still intact. He never opened neither did he read the book. In the era of slave trade, the slave masters forbids the slaves to read books because they knew true slavery was in the mind. How many of us even take out time to read the messages we receive from trusted sources daily? Why must you read books? 1) you are no different from who you are now and in coming here except for the places you go, people you meet, and BOOKS you read. 2) Everything you need to become better is already in a BOOK. Discover it, read it, practice it and see your life grow exponentially. 3) The real boo is the one with a "K". Boo K (boo knowledge) A great book is the most powerful tool you can ever have. 2016 is almost done and dusted, hope your knowledge base is not gone and rusted? Just as an apple a day, keeps the doctor away. A great book a day, keeps ignorance/foolishness at bay. If you like us to recommend some great mind transforming books, we will be glad to help. @Heart of Eva Counselling Boo K, just get more in love with her, like wisdom described in proverbs eight, her benefits far outweighs her cost. She is your true boo, so when you experience weather for two, remember it is boo k and you.
