The Comptroller of Prisons in Cross River, Mr Clement Udosen, has confirmed that some inmates at Afokang Prison in Calabar South Local Government Area, on Friday attempted jailbreak.Udosen told newsmen in Calabar that the inmates overpowered some prison guards, seized their rifles, fired shots and injured some of the guards. Really, I was having issues with my cooling system, as my camry was always turning off once my temp guage reached the half way mark. My car was always easily overheating. But honestly, a friend suggested the thermostat removal and I did it. Now my car doesn't easily overheat. For me thermostat removal worked. I also noticed that once I put on the airconditioner, the temp guage signifantly rose and now I am considering changing my radiator to a double cell radiator.

Activities in Obowo council area of Imo state was Saturday literally grounded to a halt as young men and women from the area trooped out en masse in a rare show of solidarity for the administration of Governor Rochas Okorocha and the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, yesterday said that it would require about N93bn to conduct the next general elections in February 2015. Chairman of the commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, who revealed this during a stakeholders’ meeting at the National Assembly, assured that preparations for the elections were in top gear, adding that the commission projected to spend $7.9 (about N1, 264) per voter for a total of 73.5 million voters. He said that the projection represented a reduction of $1 or 10 per cent (N160) when compared with the $8.8 (N1,478) that was projected in 2011. Jega said the commission was anxious to meet its funding requirements ahead of the elections.
