A group under the aegis of the South East People’s Assembly (SEPA) has dismissed the suspension of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state as an effort in futility. There has been much hullabaloo about some recent decisions and activities of the Governor Rochas Okorocha-led administration in Imo state. Daily, individuals and groups derive joy in smearing the administration with obviously subjective arguments on the internet. The latest of such vituperations was on an alleged manipulation in the appointment of some members of the Bench in the state, following the sack of the state Judicial Service Commission. Also, following a recent Award of excellent performance presented to some deserving government officials in the recently dissolved State Executive Council, tongues wagged. The governor was accused of turning the state into a family business...CONTINUE: http://crimefacts.org/imo-okorocha-and-the-tale-of-nepotism-by-walter-duru/ |

Your Excellency, I bring you good tidings. I want to thank you for this generous gesture of yours which has made it possible for me to breathe the air of freedom again, and to reunite with my family, especially my wife Hafsat, who had dwelt in her own prison throughout my incarceration. I decided to write you this letter the very first day I learnt that you had made up your mind to set me free. That was weeks before my eventual release. I know some of my words will sound unpalatable; but I am a soldier in whose squadron flattery is hardly a virtue...CONTINUE: http://crimefacts.org/letter-to-president-jonathan-by-al-mustapha/ |
Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Chief Thompson J. Okpoko (SAN), has raised the alarm over what he alleged as the ‘cash for certificate’ scam going on at the Nigerian Law School. Speaking on the level of corruption in the country at the just concluded Law Week organised by the Warri Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Warri, the Delta State capital, Okpoko lamented the dwindling standard of the legal profession in the country, blaming it on alleged award of degrees to the highest bidder in the Nigerian Law Schools. “One of the worrisome problems in our society is...CONTINUE: http://crimefacts.org/cash-and-carry-certificates-lawyer-raises-alarm-over-alleged-certificate-racketeering-in-nigerian-law-school/ |
Look before you leap! Their pay module looks very attractive but their growth system to qualify largely depends on exploiting new entrants...and if you do not have the heart to exploit people you call your downlines, quit. Most importantly, do not gloss over anything. Some do not tell you everything at the outset, they only tell you the pay package, so you have to take more than a month to study their growth and be sure you can make their minimum monthly cc with peace of mind... I have been there and the after taste is nothing to get excited about. |

Nigeria’s future as a unified state is in jeopardy, a United States Army War College research has concluded. The report authored by Gerald McLoughlin, Lieutenant Colonel Clarence J. Bouchat (USAF, Ret.) and published on the Strategic Studies Institute website say "those who make or execute U.S. policy will find it difficult to advance U.S. interests in Africa without an understanding of the pressures that tear and bind Nigeria. Despite this, the centrifugal forces that tear at the country and the centripetal forces that have kept it whole are not well understood and rarely examined". After establishing Nigeria’s importance to the United State as a cohesive and functioning state, the monograph published last month, June 2013, examines the historic, religious, cultural, political, physical, demographic, and economic factors that will determine Nigeria’s fate. It identifies the specific fault lines along which Nigeria may divide. It concludes with practical policy recommendations for the United States to support Nigerians in their efforts to maintain a functioning and integrated state, and, by so doing, advance U.S. interests." ...CONTINUE: http://crimefacts.org/nigerias-unity-in-the-balance-warns-new-us-military-report/ |

To say Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha is not working would be unfair to him and highly untrue. Owelle indeed is working. Somebody said to me the other day that if all the previous governors of this state aside from Late Chief Sam Mbakwe, had done at least half of what Owelle is doing, Imo would have been a wonder to behold. Indeed, there is truth and reason in what that man had said and clearly, our leaders since after Dee Sam Mbakwe haven’t lived up to expectation. My take in the whole issue as has always been my stand remains that whatever is worth doing, is worth doing right and on that premise, I cannot rate Owelle very far from his less performing predecessors and I deem it an insult to the immortal memory of Dee Sam that Owelle should be compared to him...CONTINUE: http://crimefacts.org/its-an-insult-to-compare-okorocha-to-mbakwe/ |
The jury did its job and has since gone to sleep on the Peoples Democratic Party. The question now is not whether the party is guilty as charged; the question is about the length of its punishment. The crux of the matter was how much the PDP had failed Nigeria. The defendant, the PDP, claimed it has had only 14 years and several trillions of naira to change Nigeria, but the 112 million poor Nigerian souls insisted the PDP had to go. The jury decided and granted the wish of the Nigerian masses. The PDP has failed Nigeria! It failed us yesterday, it is failing as we speak and it has borrowed enough money to get the future of our children started on the path of failure. Some political parties fail you today but they offer you hope of success against tomorrow, the PDP fails you today with enough doom and gloom to last into many tomorrows. Anyone who argues against this will one day argue whether an above-the-law petrol cabal truly deprived Nigerians of trillions of naira in 2011. That the PDP has failed is a documented scroll in the archives of time, sealed by the laws of Medes and Persians, under the weight of the trillions of naira stolen since 1999 and being embalmed by the blood of innocent Nigerians lost to the politics of “do-or-die” enshrined by the forefathers of the PDP...CONTINUE: ...CONTINUE: http://crimefacts.org/the-apc-and-its-suicidal-pdp-dance-of-shame-by-japheth-omojuwa/ |
