No no no no! Let it itch her well until another female can help her shave. I guess so but the song will be different if the girl is always on your neck to help her do it. I suggest you try and teach her once how to do it safely without cutting herself. |

Hairs that musc can be itchy to a 9 year old. If you have a hairy gene, you would've had pubic hairs by 9 but since you are still 'all bottle' till now, that suggests to me you have no hairy gene. |

A Nigerian widower living in Kentucky is raising his 9 yr old daughter alone. This man is hairy and his daughter inherited the gene from him. She hollers at her dad all the time to help her shave her pubic hairs because they are itching her. Knowing that kids develop early here in America, the man although embarrassed continued to do it because there was no relative in Louisville to help him out. He has been dating another Nigerian girl for about 2 years now and was afraid or ashamed to tell her his predicament because he fears she might think he is a pervert. He later opened up to the woman now they are planning to get married and she has offered to help him continue shaving her daughter. Guys, 1. If you were this man, what would you have done knowing full well that acts like this may land you in jail? 2. Do you think kids born in Nigeria will be shameless at 8 or 9 to the point of asking their dad to shave their pubic hairs? Ladies, If you are dating such a man and he tells you this story, sincerely, will you not think he is a pervert?. If yes, what would have been an appropriate approach to help his daughter with the weekly shaving? |

Thursday, March 5, 2009 Consortium plan $7.5bn high speed rail from Lagos to N'Delta By Emeka Ezekiel Oracle Nigeria Limited, a wholly owned indigenous company, is proposing to build a high speed train that will connect Lagos and the Niger Delta region. The project is estimated to gulp about $7.5bn A high speed train is electrically propelled to operate at a speed in excess of 250km per hour. Such trains presently operate in Europe and Asia, some at speeds in excess of 300km per hour. They are safe, efficient, reliable, and comfortable in travelling distances generally between 150km and 1,000km apart. The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Emmanuel Ehiemua, told our correspondent in an interview in Lagos that the project would be funded through "a mix of private capital/equity and public funding/guarantees." He explained that funding sources would come from regional development banks, Africa Development Bank and ECOWAS Fund. Private funding sources will be from major Nigerian banks and other financial institutions. According to Ehiemuwa, "We have had this vision since 2001, when it was first suggested to the last administration. This vision is the construction of a high speed rail link from Lagos to the Niger Delta in a journey time of about four hours. "The proposed corridor for the HSR is Lagos, Ondo, Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Abia, Imo, Akwa Ibom and Cross River states. "It is envisaged that travelling time from Lagos to Calabar will not exceed four hours, inclusive of stops. This mode of transportation will create relief in a country fraught by road accidents, which according to the World Health Organisation account for over 32,000 deaths in Nigeria every year." http://odili.net/news/source/2009/mar/5/403.html |

Family / Forced Marriages: 40 Kids Flee Homes, Seek Refuge In Etsu Nupe's Palace by StFunmi(f): 9:03am On Mar 05, 2009 |
Forced marriages: 40 kids flee homes, seek refuge in Etsu Nupe's palace By Francis Falola, Minna Over 40 girls, including many kids in Niger State, have fled home and taken refuge at the palace of the Etsu Nupe and the state's chairman of traditional rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, over the decision to give them out in marriage. The girls, whose ages range between 11 and 17 years, our correspondent gathered, fled their homes as a result of undue pressure from their parents to give them out against their will. This development was made known by a director of the Women's Right Advancement Protection Agency, a non- governmental organisation, Alhaji Shehu Ammen. The agency seeks to protect the rights of women and the girl-child. Ammen said this during an interactive session with journalists on Enhancing Citizens' Access to Justice and Human Rights held at Haske Hotel in Minna, on Tuesday. He disclosed that WRAPA and female lawyers in the state were collaborating with the state's Ministry of Women Affairs to address the problem. He stated that there was an urgent need to thoroughly sensitise the public on the dangers inherent in forced marriages. The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Niger State chapter, Alhaji Musa Sulaiman, who also spoke on the occasion, lamented that some magistrates connived with the police to deny suspects of their fundamental human rights. Sulaiman, who regretted that suspects were unduly denied bail by magistrates in connivance with the police, described this as one of the major problems contributing to the congestion of the prisons in the country. He also lamented that the rights of inmates in prisons in the country were unjustly abused by various authorities. http://odili.net/news/source/2009/mar/4/403.html |

Anambra introduces automated salary payment Written by Vincent Ujumadu Wednesday, March 4, 2009 ANAMBRA State government has introduced a centralized automated salary payment system for its workforce. The State Head of Service, Mrs. Ngozi Melifeonwu who disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the state secretariat complex in Awka yesterday, said that the new scheme, which would be provided by the United Bank for Africa (UBA), will provide accurate data base for all aspects of personnel, financial planning and administration. According to her, the scheme would use interswitch facilities to be provided by the bank, adding that with it, workers could direct that their salaries be paid into their accounts in any bank in the country. She said that apart from eliminating delays in remitting salaries of workers, it would remove fraudulent activities in the payment of salaries. The Head of Service also said that the state government would collaborate with the USA computer giant, Microsoft, to provide information and communication development for its civil service. She urged workers to reciprocate Governor Peter Obi’s gesture of making the welfare of workers a top priority, adding that he has increased workers salary four times and paid arrears of leave allowances, paid 23 months arrears of call duty allowances owed medical and dental practitioners and other health practitioners amounting to more than N477million. Other gestures include payment of arrears of funeral benefits in respect of deceased officers abandoned over the years by successive governments and sustained capacity building programmes for all cadres of workers for increased productivity, effectiveness and efficiency. In addition, she said, workers now operate in comfortable environment provided by Governor Obi who built the first secretariat complex in the state. http://odili.net/news/source/2009/mar/4/309.html |

Is it only Ekiti that have criminals in govt?. The fact is, if their misdeeds contributes to a total economic collapse of the state, the residents will become a liability to every other state in Nigeria especially the neighboring ones. You see why you should be concerned? |
