Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Kassim Afegbua, has disclosed how the former Super Eagles Coach, Shuaibu Amodu died in Benin.

Afegbua said Amodu was discovered dead in his room on Saturday morning at his house, located at Delta Crescent, GRA, Benin.

Afegbua, a cousin of the late coach, also confirmed that the corpse has been deposited at the Stella Obasanjo Hospital, Benin, awaiting autopsy.

“We were together yesterday. He came to my house in the morning and we were discussing the death of Keshi. He told me he would be travelling to Okpella this morning (Saturday.) Later in the day, he was at the police station to see one of the family members who was arrested.

“Later in the night, he complained of chest pain, and we called a doctor to check his blood pressure and it was 140 over 100. He was advised to take his drugs and also stop participation in the Ramadan fasting.

“He later led the Tarawih (Muslim fasting prayer) for the family. And after the prayer, he went to bed after eating.

“He was discovered dead in his room at about 4 a.m. today when they went to wake him up for the (Suhur) morning prayer.

Meanwhile, the former coach of the National Female team, Godwin Izilien, has described the death of Shuaibu Amodu as a double tragedy.

Izilien who spoke to journalists at the Stella Obasanjo Hospital this morning, said: “If you see me shedding tears, it is not because Shuaibu Amodu is dead. I was trying to reach him several times yesterday but his line was not available, which was unusual. But I eventually got him in the evening and he told me he was at the police station, that he was there to bail one of his relations.

“I eventually went to meet him at the police station where I told him I’ve brought the driver he requested and he said we should meet by 10 this morning to interview him. And this is the meeting,” he said, and burst into tears.

He described the death of Amodu, just three days after the death of Stephen Keshi, as a double tragedy for the nation.

Things is getting critical in Nigeria education system..I was at jamb Office today in bwari to confirm abt d Registration process for DE candidates ,,the process is easy and simple..if u wnt to apply with Ur NCE, OND And HND u must present ur jamb Admission letter dat tally wth ur programe and course of study with dsame year on it..Dat means does pple dat their admission were not from jamb need to regularize there jamb reg no and print their jamb admission letter b4 dy can complete the registration....for does pple dat have double admission on jamb portal can process there registration for DE provided dat dere admission was from jamb...but if u want to delete one of d admission status is 3k, u can do dat from d head office at bwari .. Pls and pls, if have ur NCE, ND and HND don't use other Diploma to register o , pls go and find other means to regularized ur jamb reg no ...as at today alot of DE candidate has don dere registration and Dy have submit a copy of there credentials to jamb.. any question u wnt to ask just qoute me.

i just concluded my Bsc programme last month, and i was wondering if it possible for me to apply DE (UI preferably). even though my statement of result wont be out for another 3 month or so..... who do u think sir?

yes, its food poisoning, but food poison doesn't necessarily means he was deliberately poisoned. it could be as a result of natural bacteria growth in d food or the food isnt what hes used too and it upset his system causing vomiting or diarrhea.

fellow nairalander, I just concluded my project field work which was pertaining a spermatozoa characteristic of a certain animal fed a certain diet. however, I am yet to figure out how to analyze the result of the research.
From my enquiry so far, i was made to believe that there is a software capable of doing the work. i would be glad if someone can come to my rescue as to the name of the said software, or perhaps an alternative way of analyzing the result without wasting time. Ive just a week left before I submit the project to my supervisor.
