Area4Area:Which question? The east may not be Eldorado...but it will certainly move forward by a thousand fold...and you know it. Why would the federal government always concentrate on the north and SW, not even the SS that gives most of the money spent? Is this what you can explain? |
Brightest04:Why won't you northerners mock him? You are in charge of army, airforce, police, Immigration, Customs, NPA, NNPC, Petroleum, Presidency, Legislature and Judiciary...Have North East development Commission, Have Abuja to Kaduna new rail system...Have the best roads in the country even when your area is large...If you are in the position of SE...your clerics and almajiris would have attacked the southerners in the north...by then you won't be in your sitting room in Kaduna watching the almajiris display their foolishness! ![]() |

ihatesycophant:You lack comprehension to grasp what the main issues are. Who is talking of state and local villages here...We are talking of federal matter and policies you are talking of Kalu's father. The road I showed is federal road. These statements by few northern leaders will answer your questions. I hope you will be able to understand it. “Sincerely speaking, the South-East has not had a fair-share since the civil war. Their marginalization is quite obvious. But if the policy of reconstruction, reintegration and reconciliation of Gen.Gowon and the late Gen. Murtala’s administrations had continued, the agitation by the few Igbo for Biafra state would have been a thing of the past. Balarebe Musa ----------------- ."Thus, the so-called Biafra agitation is rooted in the 1966 coup and I want to say that if people are still asking for Biafra almost 50 years after the civil war, then it is necessary for us to sit down and ask ourselves how we want the nation to be. That’s exactly what the Igbos are asking for – let’s sit down and discuss but it seems that is not falling on good ears?" Ango Abdullahi. ------------------ "...The South East has the highest infrastructural deficit in the country" Tony Momoh.. How can you be patriotic when your country continued to suppress you? |
AnanseK:Why? With the eastern people gone you will still have a population of more than 100 million...So why the fear? Can't you do without the Igbos who you guys say contribute nothing, but are criminals? Why would a sane human being prefer to live with criminals or commit suicide...beats me! |
wirinet:Nobody will attack the president. Calm down. He is on a foreign land and will be protected by the security of that country. But that doesn't stop civil protest. |
ihatesycophant:Yoruba man which untold hardship can be worse than not being able to attain certain position in your own country...even after 50 years? Which untold hardship can be worse than after seeing their children score high marks like 300 in exam...but will serve those who score 3? Which untold hardship can be worse than the lack and failure of small federal infrastructure in their region?...Let me stop there. Your moniker states that your hate sycophancy... but your sycophancy and hypocrisy is at the highest level.

Abdul05:To you..that should go to Tinubu or Okorocha...abi? |
Afospecialk:A small and effective country like Ghana, Bostwana and Rwanda is preferred to the giant unjust country like Nigeria where they have just 2,800MW of electricity for its 200 million inhabitants.. |
If all the NASS members, governors, politicians and intelligentsia from SE could work together and speak with one voice...The FG has no choice than to grant the region a kind of autonomy. I believe 2023 will be the final game-changer. All those politicians who think they are sabotaging regional autonomy with the hope that they will get the president slot will have to change their attitude once the presidency goes somewhere else. E.g. Orji Kalu, Obiano, Umahi and Okoroacha If we have autonomy...the FG has no need to constantly develop the north and SW leaving other regions to decay. There is no reason Borno and Adamawa should have more electricity than the region that needs it most. |
Igbo people in the South East have expressed regret that what was envisaged as the binding principles of the Nigerian nation state no longer exist. They are therefore calling for a plebiscite to determine the future of the region. The people noted that the Federal Republic of Nigeria as it exists today was a phantom political state which had lost all the basic principles of rule of law, justice, equity and humane values; that anarchy now prevails in all spheres of the society. In a communiqué at the end of the 2019 Igbo National Summit, presided over by the Chairman, Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Amb. Lawrence Agubuzu, the participants noted that, “The Republic has been seized by one ethnic nationality, namely, the minority Fulani who do not hide their intentions to wipe out the indigenous populations and their religions and turn the territory into an Islamic State as has been arrogantly stated by the Fulani Nationality Movement (FUNAM).” The communiqué of the first ever Igbo national summit with the theme ‘Peace, Security and Development of Alaigbo and Her Neighbours,’ which was signed by Chairman, Alaigbo Development Foundation, Prof. Uzodinma Nwala, chairman of the Organising Committee, Prof. Ukachukwu Awuzie, chairman of the Association of South East Town Unions, Emeka Diwe and 21 others, noted that Ndigbo had continued to be marginalised in the scheme of things with key appointments going to the North. In the communiqué, entitled ‘The Owerri Declaration,’ the participants noted that the endemic instability in the federation had been due to an inherent incompatibility of values between the dominant religions, traditions and cultures of its indigenous ethnic nationalities, stressing that this had been made worse by the deliberate act of manipulation by the British colonial authorities who, through manipulation of the federal structure and census, left power in the hands of the Fulani minority. The participants, therefore, “Urge all pan-Igbo organizations, including the Alaigbo Development Foundation (ADF), Association of South-East Town Unions (ASETU), World Igbo Congress (WIC), concerned Christian clergy and representative organizations, particularly the Christian Association of Nigeria South-East (CAN-SE), from our contiguous neighbours including the coalition of all pro-Biafra groups, and the vindictively proscribed non-violent organization, IPOB, to collectively work in political synergy for our collective aspiration for self-determination, to ensure our survival and lead the pursuit of the realization of our collective security, destiny and development as a free, prosperous peace-loving people bound together by the principles of self-determination and freedom.” Read more: https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/igbo-summit-calls-for-plebiscite-on-future-of-s-east.html |
helinues:Eternally childish..Before it was that Bola Ige's cap removal was not true...then it was unrelated...then it became incoherent...but I had asked of your IQ levels? Now will this make any sense to you? The Igbos didn't send Awolowo (ex-convict) to Calabar prision? The Igbo didn't kill Abiola and Kudirat? The Igbos didn't kill Bola Ige? The Igbos didn't send Fela to jail. The Igbos didn't imprison Obasanjo? The Igbos didn't imprison pa Ajasin? The Igbos didn't humuliate General Oladipo Diya? The Igbos didn't send your god, Bola Tinubu to exile? The Igbos didn't imprision Ganiu Adams, Yorubas onakankafo? The Igbos didn't fight you Yorubas in Ile Ife, Ketu, Idi Arab, Shagamu, Ajegunle..Ile Epo... ....and yet you hate them...Only God knows what you haters would have done if they did the above to you... .......ONLY the Igbos bring the animal in you people! |
helinues:You are now pleading...but you were running your mouth before. Nobody hates you...If Igbos do they won't be living in SW. Infact their investment in SW is more than any tribe in Nigeria. The never attacked any of your leaders or imprison them. They never attack you in Ile Ife, Agility Ketu, Shagamu, Idi Araba, Ajengule, and recently Ile _Epo...so how do they hate you? You hate them instead for their success? If they had done like stated, in those fights, you would have hated them more. Have you ever carried placard asking the people that kill and imprison you to leave your region? It boils to envy. I don't hate anybody. I only try to make sure the truth is told.

helinues:Shut that you decaying mandibles? Have you used your pot to poo today? Changing narratives when they are caught in the web of their treachery. I referred to when you clumsy liar said Ekweremadu's cap was removed. Is he the sitting president? What is the level of your IQ? I never mentioned the president in my comments. |
Afamed:...Confused liar...Now you are caught in your own game and web of deicit...you are now changing the narrative. You think this is the era of Ibadan-Lagos axis of propaganda...? The arrival of the internet has dealt a big brutal blow to the propaganda machine which has sustained you for decades. |
Bigcowhorn:They will disappear gradually...They love gossips and playing holy than holier attitude...which they call jebiti... |
helinues:If you were not born than... and you lack the depth to be informed...How would that be my business? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6OF47r1XTw |
Afamed:Big mouth...Where is Bola Ige's cap? Was he not your elder?
|
helinues:But you removed Bola Ige's cap and assaulted him in the palace of Ooni...then killed him later... You guys love lying, propaganda and deceitful... You chest-beat a lot... ![]() |
Auladimeji2:What? Were Igbos in all the 3 arms of government? Was Igbo the NSA, Chief of police, NPA, Customs, Immigration, Chief of the airforce, FCT minister, in all the security officers? Continue to support injustice until it catches up wit you someday. |
Auladimeji2:See how you gullible Nigerians reason. So Buhari administration belongs to him? Is fake Nigeria now a caliphate and not a federal government? Is it any wonder people are disgracing their leaders outside the country as these leaders have not used the constitutional means to question actions by this President? Can you recall how many judicial inquiries Trump is going through in the US? Have you seen why Nigeria is called a sH*thole? |
Auladimeji2:Why not remove a federal character, quota system and leave everything open. Igbos have no problem with justice and equality...Could you explain why TY Danjuma was promoted above his colleagues in the 60s...it was to help the north catch up...No region is more self-centered than the north. How come almost all the CP of police in the SE is from the north? How come you from Zamfara who had the score of 3 in examination has more chances of becoming the president, minister, IG of police, Chief of the army, Chief of Customs, Chieg Justice, etc etc...than I from Asaba Delta state who scored 300?...and yet you evil people want unity and hate anyone who questions these injustices? |
Afamed:Wasting time....this should be distributed everywhere...These legendary statements are felt even within Nairaland today!

13october:...and also no...Skull mining, ritual, 419, Oluwole, Jankara human part market, Shina Rambo, Godogodo armed banditry, rape, in-cest, yahoo yahoo, Badoo, Occultism, kidnapping...drug trafficking., scam churches ala-dura, cele, alfa, Ifa, ogboni, etc, etc, etc... ![]() |
Afamed:We are just wasting our time in this country forcing ourselves to love each other when it is practically impossible to do that. Even Nigeria's founding fathers made it clear that Nigeria formation was a mistake..a British experiment which has proven to be wrong for 100 years now. For Nigeria to have hope of existing beyond a few years, it should evolve, such that each region can develop at their own pace. Imagine it's so, the SE will have its development, building their own region rail network...but what do we have...the unitary federal government has been developing the north and the SW...leaving other regions to decay. This is not sustainable...and this has been the basis of disunity...and the reason for the formation of groups like IPOB. |

Were people and businesses giving enough time before the closure? Did FAAN give an estimate when this repair will be concluded so people and business can plan? Can people initiate a class action against FAAN if their operations are disrupted because of the shoddy manner the airport is closed? |
Guestlander:Typo by the newspaper...Should be Akanu Ibiam. Why is this frustrating you? Must everybody travel through Lagos airport? Are you happy with the Apapa-Oshodi road that is congested because everybody is using Lagos sea ports? |
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has finally shut down Akanu Indian International Airport Enugu. The Airport was shut down 2300 hours (12 midnight Friday). However, a concession was given to Ethiopian Airline flight to land on Saturday because it was a pre-scheduled international flight before the decision to shut the airport. The airline had argued that the cost of conveying passengers from Port-Harcourt International airport to Enugu by road and providing accommodation for them would be too heavy on the airline, and therefore should be allowed to drop the passengers at Enugu since the flight was scheduled before announcement to shut down the airport. FAAN had on Saturday August 17 announced it’s intention to close down the runway of Akanu Ibiam International Airport on Saturday, August 24, to effect maintenance that will enhance safety operations. Henrietta Yakubu, the General Manager, Corporate Affairs of FAAN, dropped the hint in a press statement in Lagos. “This move is aimed at resolving the existing Safety/Security concerns to flight operations,” she said. She stressed that the date of the re opening will be communicated in due course. Despite a passionate letter written to President Muhammad Bihari by governors of South East states to weight in and pressure FAAN to postpone the shutdown pending when alternative arrangements were made, the Federal Government went ahead with the shutdown. https://businessday.ng/aviation/article/faan-shuts-down-enugu-airport/ |
