Mcy56: Guess they requested for these cos you have name or signature issue, if not that wouldn't be necessary. All you need to do is to download the form, fill it, take it to bank for verification/stamping and, take it to the registrar for submission OR you tell your bank to submit on ur behalf. Think its easy enough like that. I think processing through your bank may be the best. My experience at African prudential, PH office was not palatable. I was not even aware i will pay thousands of naira until they gave me bill. I have to part with some thousands with begging. When I complained the money was too much, the guy said it is still less than the dividend I am expecting. So I asked if they charge based on dividend for processing mandate. In all, this naija, anything goes. |

Mcy56: I just have to mention this: Africa Prudential is excellent in customer service. Saying this based on their responsiveness to mails, I'm doing quite a number of back and forth with them and they have been getting back to me on each mail. Also, their e-dividend form submission is very easy and smooth, you just fill, scan and send to them. I'm just impressed by the way they handle customers, reason for posting this. I attest to your statement because I have a similar experience. They are doing well. |

aremso: Good dont sell at all just leave it since you don need the money in a hurry. Please find an investment strategy and stick with that and am sure if you do, your losses will always be minimal. Just leave those stocks there till when the market favors them. To me nothing fantastic will happen again in the mkt this year and as such, am bailing out gradually with last stock UBA to bail out on Monday after which i go to Tbill to make some money then come back to the market later in the yr and buy just 3 stocks maximum with zenith making 85% of my portfolio. Please dont buy stock cos others are buying it stick to your own strategy and you will at least 90% be a successful investors. I was formerly a long timer but now i have changed my strategy to enter at the best price, qualify for dividend or may not wait for the dividend depending on the price and exit then re-enter at a good price again, this i started in 2017 and has really worked much for me cos i ended up buying more of those stocks anytime i want to come back for them. @Beke2020 please note that you are not the only one in this bus. I will encourage you to heed the advice given. There is no cause for alarm. Hold your stock, it will appreciate. @Aremso, I will like to rub mind with you. We seems to have been through the same route and doing similar thing. Best of Luck. |

PharmAlfred: People buying fidelity bank, do not know the real gist yet. By the time the dust settles, they will realise they buying into 11kobo dividend. Very poor yield for some one buying for dividend purposes. What if they're buying for medium/long term? People buy stocks for different reasons. I think there is need for one to be patient. |

anjilgreat: My brother I understand your point because the stock market is very volatile and capital preservation is key but know of people who sold at a loss due to fear of the unknown and I think that it is good to learn from ones experience sometimes. The stock market will definitely reverse at some point in time. I have leant that sometimes, it is more beneficial to stay longer in the market unless here is a genuine reason to sell.
I don't think we can compare the 2007/2008 era of manual trade through stockbrokers and now, the new technology built era in stock trading where you can trade yourself without any stock broker delaying you unnecessarily when you want to sell.
I still have the transcorp shares I bought in 2007@#7.5 and first bank@#33 due to unnecessary delays from them to sell when I mandated them to and that cannot happen now because I can sell myself but I still think that one should apply caution before selling even to d extent of doing so at a loss just because everybody is running. |

zendi: Such hiccups are normal... Flawless elections are unknown in Nigeria, even in America. Some communities in deep riverine Niger Delta may not vote at all. Same in some areas of Gboko Haram infested North East. Just let the announced winner be quickly congratulated by the loser, and peace will reign. As God lives this election would end peacefully. However, there was a story of killing somewhere in Rivers (I pray it is not true). The Lord reigns and rules over the affairs of this nation. Please take some time to also pray for safety of our Corp members and other INEC officials. I see a better Nigeria! |

Thanks for pointing that out. I only know how to see the good side of persons and their comments. I operate like "ka dupe lowo eni to mo ni loju, eeyan ni ko wo ibi ti a wa", meaning we should thank someone looking at us with bad eyes, some persons no even look our side. It may not be correct but that is my operating principle. Not easy to be offended |

Mcy56: Even when she was mocking the person that sold at loss? Anyway wetin consign me. My own understanding/perception of @yayira post, she was not mocking anyone but encouraging him to appreciate the little gain he made which is better than selling at a loss as someone did. Also that the "bear bear criers" exists and we should cry less when we are not sure because our noise might be taken for professional talk. For me I think there are some people who are good at making noise (bad news promoters) |
