I have said it a few times that corporate governance premium is priceless. There lies the differential between GTB/Stanwick and others.

Pls can u guys throw more light on this corporate governance let me know if it is different from the little I know?

Accountants or financial experts in the house please help with an explanation for the different impairment values in P/L and Note 28 biko (learning and investing at the same time wink )
Zenith's highly undervalued
I think the market makers are responsible for always keeping it below its true value

The Dangotes have greatly impressed me this year.

I will suggest to NSE to create dangote index to track the price movements of all the dangotes.

Am also impressed with their ability to suppress their NPL from bloating
Let's hope they will be generous with FY dividend payout as has been their norm
Meanwhile, still meditating on the 9months EPS

Fidelity Bank released its Q3 2017 results earlier today.

Please find key highlights of the Q3 2017 results below:

· Net interest income of N35.66bn, Up 96.6% q/q; +88.8% y/y

· Profit before tax of N10.86bn, up +102.4% q/q; Up +205.9% y/y

· Profit after tax of N9.73bn, up +106.2% q/q; Up 207.8% y/y

9M 2017:

· Revenue of N130.09bn: up +21.9% y/y

· Profit before tax of N16.24bn: up +65.1% y/y

· Profit after tax of N14.45bn: up +65.1% y/y
The above is what my broker sent to me.
My question is what happened in this fidelity bank that led to a spike in PAT q/q to the tone of 9.73 billion shocked just for q3 alone ?
#suprised

fidelity Q3 not yet out grin but base on Q2 i have a valuation price of N2.2.. apart from their dividend goodwill. if i must buy penny bank i will go for diamond grin grin

depend on Q3,,the price may value down or up
But talking about fundamentals, currently, fidelity is healthier than diamond esp. WRT banking parameters viz CAR and even Non performing loans

u don't know wat u r talking abt.
As a business educator, i can tell u that this young man is on the right path.
Everyone must nt be an inventor to qualify as entrepreneur!
I know a lot of wholesalers and retailers that are very successful, apple, Gucci, Zara and other world brands do not have to open shops in all nooks and cranies, they leave that space for investors like this young man, who inturn brings some kind of value addition to the products like after sales services. Bcareful how u kill a dream in ur attempt to appear as intelligent, cos u know nothing about the world of economic activities.

Walahi I love nairaland! Its one of the best things that happened to me in life.

pple are still looking at okomu of 2012/2013 when they pay us N7 dividend with 1 to 1 bonus grin grin grin,, they have the capacity then because their book was full of free cash supported their earnings grin

though they still declare good earnings but nt much cash backing d reason they never come closer to 2012/2013 dividend bonus declaration grin. grin

in my opinion based on current Q2 report their fair price stand at N35 grin grin i hope they improve on their numbers by Q3 and Q4 otherwise okomo may range within N50 - 80

Analysis paralysis cheesy
There r value stocks and there r growth stocks my friend
Okomu has become more like a growth stock. If you look properly, it doesn't need dividend
Declaration to shoot upwards. All it needs is performance consistency grin
Mind u, (1) ts no longer a penny stock and most importantly, (2) at current performance, u may not get it below 100 in one year time(take note of this)!!

just seeing this post grin

oga Tritri both have prospect of capital gain but if the need to dispose 1, i will let go ucap grin grin

if Afriprud can maintain same numbers increase as d Q2 at year end with no general mkt prob. we will be looking around N8.5 by next year grin

Ucap is fairly priced base on Q2,,,and if the same numbers increase maintain at year end,,,,then we will be looking around N6.5 grin

of course good than expected numbers will increase those prices grin vice-versa grin grin grin grin

not everything should be free for big boy like you,, i will pm u my acct. number for charges pls pay in dollar grin grin grin

Afriprud had similar performance last 3years but couldn't cruise past 3.8.
No investor would want to buy it past 4 naira.
Market sentiments were similar back then
Its price movement over an extended period is too narrow

Sometimes I am tempted to believe that those huge cross trades are fake cross trades cooked up(bought and sold) by the same person(market maker) in order to manipulate price undecided

if zenith and GT maintain same result at year end both should be selling close to same price around N40 plus...the only thing that will make gt superior is it high roe grin

zenith at currentprice or below is good bargain compare to Gt currentprice grin grin

it my own opinion,,,,always check my siggy below before taken any action on what i post here grin

I noticed that investors do not only look at EPS but also efficiency when comparing peers in a sector. I think that's why they will always price gtb higher than zenith
Same thing is happening to stanbic!
Gtb is about 50% efficient while zenith is about 25% efficient
