Make somebody hold David Hundeyin, make he no commit suicide. Better still, make dem protect am so Aitku no go wound am for the false hope he was selling. |
When you believe all is well. |
This is the kind of person who has all the answers until he finds himself in power like Buhari and Tinubu. It is always easier said than done. Ignorance is bliss. |
Arostar2023:You are irredeemable. Having been corrected on your previous folly, you are still insisting on who led the Nigerian contingent. Is it who led that matters or how many are attending which includes members of most of the labour unions that exist in Nigeria? Rather than accuse someone of deflecting, look in the mirror and ask yourself why you are so desperate to narrow this down to an APC government problem. Heal yourself of blindness. |
This is why I regard them as anarchists who tried to force their way on the rest of us. They will keep lamenting on social media, as whoever they support will always fail. |
Nonny95:Did you read where the private individual who drafted an idea, said he would send the idea to the government this week Friday? What has that got to do with the APC or the Federal Government if till now it remains the idea of a private individual? Do you know what a Draft bill is, more so, a draft bill that has not been submitted to anyone? Learn to read and understand. |
Truly, Dr Frederick Fasehun was a fearless fighter who stood up to the military junta. It must have been an unintended omission. |
Good humour displayed by the President. |
Nice to see he is perfectly fine. Those who wished for an helicopter crash can console themselves with the consolatory occurrence of a fall that does not change who remains their President. |
saintopus:His sympathy is statemanly. I give him kudos for such character. |
Bobloco:Tell us 1 single thing our President, Bola Tinubu, has done that did not follow the rule of law since he assumed office? Did he capture state funds and domiciled it in his own bank where he was a former board Chairman? Did he invest state funds in a brewery he also had significant ownership shares? |
KTiana:You cannot restrict Nigerians from spending millions of Naira abroad on foreign education, then you want them to keep the money back in their bank and spend shawarma money as tuituon fees in Nigeria. That UK charges its own citizens £9000 for annual university tuition, does not mean that money is money spent on fish and chips. That is real money that could factor in at about 2 or 3 or 4 months salary of minimum wage. So let Nigeria also charge 3 or 4 months of Nigerian minimum wage as annual university tuition. We need to stop subsidizing waste, which is what has kept us from building new infrastructure or better maintaining old ones. We need a university education system that can sustaim itself with only little subvention fund from the government. Other aspects of tertiary education, like the trade/technical schools can be charged lower. The economy of Nigeria or any country at that, does not need all the able bodied youth to be university educated. Let people pay good money that they have already proven they actually have, for their children's education in Nigeria, while the very brilliant but indigent students can apply for the scholarship scheme that many Nigerian firms and organizations in Nigeria will be funding then, since no such funding will go towards the foreign scholarships anymore. |
Teenaira:If the funds Nigerians pour into UK education is poured into Nigerian education, we would be the education gaint of Africa with the best infrastructures and faculty remuneration. We never even mention funds going to US or Canada. We are bleeding and the government remain as irresponsible as the suffering masses who can raise millions of Naira just to live abroad. |
Arostar2023:I always laugh at Nigerians like you who think education and every service must be free and there should be no tax on just about everything. But you will sell your inheritance to go pay tax in the country where you have to save years ahead to afford the tuition that Nigeria provided you at the cost of a month's purchase of Shawarma. I swear, Nigeria too take rubbish. A property owner will earn income from rents and will not pay tax on that income. A property owner will sell off the property and pocket all the income without any tax going to the government. Which economically viable country would allow such leakages? |
FreeSpirited:The meaning is the lamentation of a "we won Abuja" Senator, who has now realised that to win a battle is not the same as winning the war. We won Lagos. Ok tell us the policy you are now implementing in that Lagos? We won Abuja. Why is your winning Senator lamenting every month? We won Rivers. What are you dictating in that River you could not swim? But those who won Nigeria by winning Zamfara and Ekiti and Borno, are calling all the shots and you must obey, since obidience is already your bandwagon. |
It is time the Nigerian government places a 10year embargo on the siphoning of Nigerian earned funds to sustain academic infrastructures in UK, US, Canada, and any other country Nigerians are going to for education tourism. Only a foolish country allow people to ship off funds earned in that economy to benefit another economy, without paying any tax to the economy where the funds was earned. They will sell property in Nigeria and pocket all the money to go donate to another economy, yet no tax is paid on the sale of that property to the economy where the wealth was acquired. Imagine all the best income earners in Nigeria spending the bulk of their Nigerian earnings on the undergraduate education of their children or their own postgraduate education abroad, after the heavily subsidized undergraduate education that Nigeria provided them to secure those jobs in Nigeria that funded their ambition to wear winter jackets in Europe and North America? Any country that does not understand the intricacies of economic national security, will keep wondering why its economy continue to flounder. Even the countries receiving Nigerian funds know how to prioritize their own national economic security, and make policy changes from time to time to ensure that the academic tourists remain only a source of net foreign remittance into their own economy instead of a net subtractive parasite. I will say it again, the prevailing time is not one to allow your best income earners take funds out of the Nigerian economy without as much as a 50kobo tax on their destructive drain of our national wealth. Anyone that wants to go abroad for education should find a way to get a job in that country and raise the funds from the income earned in that country. CBN should with immediate effect prohibit any transfers from a Nigerian account to any foreign academic institution for a period of 10years, while the government should simultaneously raise the school fees to something tangible that you save for years ahead, instead of the rubbish fees that is not up to the pocket money the students spend in a month. Or is UK or Canada or US tuition fees for local student the kind of amount that local student will spend on buying burgers in a month? So why are Nigerian universities charging money for 1month shawarma as annual tuition fees? Charge well, pay lecturers well, and still have enough to upgrade and maintain the education infrastructure in Nigeria. Goddammit! |
Dem say they won Abuja, they won Lagos, and were cheated in Rivers (despite that they were on their knees and begging Wike for support and promising to even sacrifice their own gubernatorial candidate). Yet in all of these places, they are not even the ones ruling or dictating policy implementations. Not to mention that their Presidential candidate finished 3rd. |
Bebigiby1:You claim you made a post in May 2023 on why Tinubu must be impeached? Are you saying you are suprised that Nigerians called you out as a tribal bigot and disgruntled loser, for asking for the impeachment of the President on his very 1st day in office since his Presidency was inaugurated on 29th May 2023? You cannot change the stench of electoral defeat that is oozing everywhere you go. Shame on you and shame on your candidate that was defeated. |
Bobloco:Like I said, America never decay like that. If Peter Obi tried all the rubbish he did in Anambra in a state in America, he would have been sent to jail like Illinois State Governor, Rodney Blagojevich
|
Goodlyhrt:You mean the same Peter Obi, former governor who was caught with N250m cash in his convoy? The same one who invested state funds in a brewery he also has interests? Was he not the same person who said he did not know he was required to declare his foreign assets because it was co-owned with others? The same fellow who claimed to have resigned from his private business, but the records in the UK showed his resignation was submitted in 2008 whike being Governor since 2006 for an electiin he actually contested since 2003 while still in charge of a private business till 2008? His excuse was that he handed over his resignation letter to his wife. America never decay like that ooo. |
Beremx:Whose fault is it that old information is being fed to you afresh? |
An information that is contained in a book that was published years ago is what is being rehashed now to generate buzz. Or is Femi Gbajabiamila the Speaker at this present time? |
Any purge in a place like CBN, is very much welcome. |
Ex President Trump convicted, also son of incumbent President is convicted. But in Nigeria, a former governor who invested state funds in his family business is walking free. We have a long way to go in Nigeria. CrossRhodes:Exactly! Imagine the former governor who was caught with N250m cash in his convoy. Was he not the same person who said he did not know he was required to declare his foreign assets because it was co-owned with others? |
oluwaseyi0:Forget all the rubbish that anarchists post online. The monthly salary of Senators used to be N700k and was later increased to N1.5m by the previous National Assembly. I don't know what the current National Assembly increased their own to. All the ridiculous amounts that is being propagated on social media, do not qualify as salary. Those are funds used to run the office of a Senator. A Senator is both a person and an office, but the salary is the earning of the person. |
It is not a crime to defend one's pioneering record and set the record straight. |
Hahahahahahaha! He wanted to play the long game, when he should have played the short game. When he should have aligned with his mentor, Oshiomhole, he cast his hopes on Obaseki, forgetting that Oba no dey give him key to any one besides car key. |
You want to spend your money earned in Naira but converted to pounds? I wish you success. |
Beremx:If government (Federal or State) intervene in the matter, your tribal orientation will emerge and overshadow rational thought. |
lastkingsman:Baba! you lie. Savings is not savings. Housing is not housing. Expenses is not expenses. Income is not income. |
