I have been a silent reader of this thread. And I have been doing some extensive reading and debates so as to have a full grasp facts in that region. I don't know if you care to provide answers, I have some questions I would like to ask.

I saw a video and have read reports from Palestine where Palestinians claim that their land was occupied and gruesomely annexed by Israel. Meanwhile, the Israelite have shown in history that they settled and well established by founding a city or kingdom in that region in the historical past. They added that it was Emperor Hadrian who actually changed the city of Judea to Syria Palestine, meaning it was historic Jewish city.

Adding to the background, Israel has argued that Hadrian had wanted to erase the Jewish identity. (I do not actually agree with this stand). And went on to claim that the name Palestine is derived from Philistine of the ancient world. However, they argued that the Arab Palestinian natives are not direct descendants of Philistines so the were simply laying claim to that land as a Arab dominating agenda of the region.

While I do not want to deploy the bible on historic discussion, the old testament has shown that philistines settled in Gaza. However, historical documents from Herotodus to Ovid to Josephus has shown that Palestinian doesn't have a specific geographical boundaries. It may cover the western sides of Mesopotamia, connecting what Egypt to what is known today as Lebanon.

So this prompt question, how did the philistines history got wiped off?

How and when did Israel established themselves and cities and religion in Palestine?

How did Israel occupy Palestine when it has been established that they settled in this area millenia ago?

Who are the actual owner of the region today?
