The Vickyheldan Empowerment Foundation has announced plans for the 2026 edition of its flagship Her Health, Her Power Conference Africa, a dynamic annual gathering dedicated to advancing women's health and leadership across the African continent, ABUJAPRESS reports.

The conference is scheduled to hold on August 21, 2026, at the Shehu Musa Yar'Adua Centre, Abuja, Nigeria, and will bring together healthcare professionals, policymakers, industry leaders, advocates, community leaders, students, activists, and women from diverse backgrounds to explore the critical role of women's wellbeing in driving sustainable development across Africa.

With the theme, "Leading With Wellness for a Sustainable Africa," the conference seeks to provide a comprehensive and inclusive platform for addressing some of the most pressing issues affecting women's health.

It will also serve as a timely opportunity to bridge knowledge gaps, tackle emerging challenges, and identify evidence-based solutions as women's health continues to receive increasing attention within global health agendas.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Founder and Convener of the conference, Dr. Victory I. Njoku, emphasized that the theme reflects the indispensable role of women in Africa's sustainable development.

According to her, "Africa's journey towards sustainable social, economic and institutional development must be led by healthy women. The continent's sustainability depends largely on the health and wellbeing of its women, yet significant gaps still exist in access, prioritization, financing and policy implementation."

She explained that the vision of the conference is to build a future where every African woman enjoys equitable access to quality healthcare, informed health choices, and systems that safeguard her dignity, wellbeing and productivity.

Dr. Njoku outlined the major objectives of the conference, which include amplifying women's voices in conversations around health equity and access, advancing knowledge on critical health issues affecting women and girls, inspiring action through stories of resilience and innovation, mobilizing resources and partnerships for sustainable impact, and breaking the stigma surrounding sensitive health issues while advocating for women's rights and dignity within healthcare systems.

Participants at the conference are expected to engage in policy-driven conversations on women's health and wellness, build strategic partnerships and cross-sector collaborations, contribute to sustainable solutions aligned with global development goals, and become part of a continental movement promoting improved healthcare outcomes for women.

Highlighting the focus areas for this year's edition, Dr. Njoku said the conference will prioritize maternal and reproductive health, mental health and emotional wellbeing, preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyles, expanding access to healthcare for women in rural and underserved communities through community outreach programmes across Africa, strengthening women's leadership and economic participation, and fostering partnerships capable of delivering lasting social impact.

Activities lined up for the conference include high-level keynote sessions, policy dialogues, panel discussions, advocacy workshops, networking and collaboration sessions, as well as wellness and empowerment experiences, particularly targeted at women in underserved communities.

Among the distinguished keynote speakers expected at the conference are Her Excellency Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, former President of Mauritius, and Her Excellency Ambassador Prof. Olufolake AbdulRazaq, First Lady of Kwara State, alongside renowned health experts from Africa, Europe and the United States.

Notable healthcare practitioners and partners present at the press conference included Princess Akauor D., Founder, Chuks Anyaduba, President of HASDG Africa, and Pharmacist Piwa Peka.

The conference is expected to further strengthen advocacy efforts and partnerships aimed at improving healthcare outcomes for women and accelerating sustainable development across Africa.

More than 600 residents, including children, women, community leaders and young entrepreneurs benefited from a community outreach programme organised by a non-governmental organisation, Jessie Eddy Foundation in collaboration with L2D International and other partners at Waru Community in Apo, Abuja, the nation's capital.

The outreach at Waru Primary School held on May 30 and was aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable families through education support, women's empowerment, talent development, and the distribution of relief materials.

Speaking on the impact of the programme, founder of the Foundation, Jesse Eddy said the initiative was designed to provide immediate assistance to disadvantaged households while creating long-term opportunities for women and children through educational interventions and economic empowerment.

As part of the educational support package, school fees were paid for 50 children to enable them return to school, while examination fees were also settled for another 50 students who could not afford registration for Junior and Senior WAEC examinations.

Educational materials, including exercise books, pens, pencils, rulers, erasers, sharpeners, and child development books, were distributed to beneficiaries.

The outreach also featured women empowerment activities. Five women received business support grants to strengthen and expand their enterprises, while mothers participated in competitions and interactive sessions with winners receiving cash prizes. Additional cash gifts were distributed to parents to support household needs.

One of the highlights of the event was the recognition of a 15-year old young fashion designer who produced costumes used by children during stage performances. In recognition of her creativity and entrepreneurial potential, a partner of the Foundation awarded her a ₦500,000 business support grant.

Similarly, a coordinator responsible for mentoring and nurturing children who showcased their talents through music, dance, fashion parades, and other creative activities received a cash gift of ₦200,000 in appreciation of her contributions to child development.

Hundreds of welfare items were also distributed during the programme. Beneficiaries received personal care products such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary pads, bathing soap, and sponges. Food items distributed included rice, noodles, spaghetti, groundnut oil, tomato paste, sugar, salt, seasoning cubes, beverages, biscuits, drinks, packed meals, and other household supplies.

Children entertained participants with dance performances, music presentations, fashion parades, and other creative showcases, while parents actively participated in community engagement activities designed to strengthen family bonding and social cohesion.

The outreach helped remove barriers to education, empowered women economically, rewarded exceptional talent, provided welfare support to vulnerable households, and restored hope to families facing economic hardship.

The Jessie Eddy Foundation expressed appreciation to its partners, donors, volunteers, and supporters for contributing to the success of the programme and called on individuals, corporate organisations, development agencies, and philanthropists to partner with it in expanding support for vulnerable women and children across communities.

POLITICAL INTIMIDATION!!! Group Knocks Hon. Ozor Over Move to Return to Delta Assembly, Backs Igbiki

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQR9idRCuHg

A socio-political group, the Aniocha South League of Professionals (ASLP), has urged the member representing Aniocha South Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Anwuzia Isaac Ozor, to step aside in the forthcoming political season and allow a younger candidate to represent the people.

The group said Hon. Ozor had done his best in the past three years since he was first elected into the Assembly, but argued that it was time for a new face to emerge, citing what it described as his inability to attract impactful projects to the constituency.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the National President of ASLP, Engr. Chidi Obioma, said the League was backing what he described as a “more acceptable” candidate for the seat, noting that its preferred choice, Igbiki Cyril Chiedozie, is vibrant and enjoys widespread grassroots support.

Engr. Obioma maintained that since becoming a member of the House, Hon. Ozor had not sufficiently met the expectations of the constituency in terms of quality bills, motions, and constituency projects capable of improving the lives of the people.

“We understand that in Africa, old age is considered a blessing everyone prays to attain. At 60 and above, Hon. Ozor has reached the stage where he should play more of a mentorship role to younger politicians.

“Those accusing him of sleeping during important legislative proceedings may not be entirely fair, as it could simply reflect the level of energy he can sustain at his age.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vL4zvD5qq0E?si=nu71IVk9ZwOzKSFr

“Beyond age, however, accountability, accessibility, and grassroots support will shape our voting decisions in 2027.

“Hon. Igbiki is not only youthful, but also cosmopolitan and deeply connected to the people, which is the kind of leadership Aniocha South needs at this moment.

“Even as a private citizen, his philanthropy has positively impacted many lives through scholarships, infrastructure support, business assistance, and youth empowerment initiatives,” he stated.

The group also vowed that voters in the constituency would not be swayed by money politics ahead of the elections, insisting that all aspirants must present a clear scorecard of their contributions and service to the people.

Also worthy to note is that this similar reservation was echoed by a popular coalition that project youth participation in politics in Abuja recently. They condemned the growing intimidation against young aspirants across political parties in Nigeria.

During a press briefing in Abuja, Nigerian Youths in Politics and coalition of youth leaders highlighted cases involving young aspirants including Hammud Sadis Buba (Kano) and Ibiki Cyril Chidozie (Delta), describing the trend as a threat to democracy and youth inclusion.

The coalition called on political parties and relevant authorities to protect the rights of young people participating in the democratic process.

PoliticsLaw or Labyrinth: Is Nigeria’s New Electoral Act a Dead End for Democracy? by StoriesUpdate(op): 9:22am On Apr 27
Shielding the Vote or Strengthening the Victor? The High Stakes of Nigeria’s New Rules

By : Festus Ifeanyi Anagwu

The signing of the Electoral Act 2026 feels like a recurring fever in the Nigerian body politic. Just as the nation begins to catch its breath and look towards the 2027 horizon, the goalposts have been moved yet again. While the National Democratic Congress (NDC) takes its grievances before Justice Mohammed Umar in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/635/2026, the rest of us are left to wonder: is this reform, or a tactical retreat from accountability?

Nigeria’s democratic history is littered with these eleventh-hour legislative ‘upgrades.’ From 2002 to 2022, and now in 2026, we have seen a consistent and troubling habit of altering the electoral architecture just as the candidates are taking their marks. Reform is necessary for any evolving state, but when the rules are rewritten on the eve of an election, the law ceases to look like a neutral foundation and begins to resemble a political instrument. We must be honest: manipulation rarely starts at the polling unit. It begins in the quiet halls of the legislature, where the grounds for challenge are narrowed and the gates to participation are locked.

The heart of the current controversy lies in a chilling legislative erasure. By removing ‘qualification’ as an express ground for an election petition under Section 138, the new Act appears to suggest that the constitutional requirements for office – age, education and integrity – may be treated as negotiable. That is a dangerous precedent. If a candidate who is constitutionally unfit to lead can hide behind a statutory shield once the results are announced, the 1999 Constitution risks being reduced from the supreme law of the land to a mere suggestion. Nigerians are essentially being asked to accept that illegality, once inaugurated, becomes untouchable.

Furthermore, the administrative ‘order’ promised by Section 77(5), regarding digital party registers, feels like a Trojan horse. In a perfect world, a 21-day deadline for submitting membership lists to INEC would prevent fraud. In our world, it may provide a perfect mechanism for party bosses to ‘delete’ dissent. By turning membership into a closed-door privilege managed through an opaque digital gatekeeper, we risk wounding democracy in the cradle of the primary election. If an aspirant is excluded by a list before reaching the voters, the general election becomes a choice between pre-selected shadows rather than a true competition of ideas.

Nigeria is the heavyweight of African democracy, and its stability is the continent’s anchor. We cannot afford to treat electoral laws as disposable tactics. The court will eventually rule on the legality of these provisions, and that process must be respected. But the court of public opinion must already confront their democratic morality. A democracy dies a slow death when the law is used to shrink the people’s choices and insulate the powerful from scrutiny. Nigeria does not need a more complex legal code; it needs a system stable enough to be trusted and constitutional enough to be legitimate. We must demand that the law remains a shield for the voter, not a weapon for the politician.

Delta Economic and Investment Summit Warns Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce Against Trademark Violation, Threatens Legal Action

A major legal confrontation is unfolding in the Niger Delta region as the promoters of the Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit (NDEIS) have issued a strong warning to the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines and Agriculture over what they describe as the unlawful use of their trademarked brand.

The warning was issued through legal representatives acting on behalf of the founder of NDEIS, Amb. Kenule Nwiya Junior and Ken-Eva Consult Ltd.

It accuses Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce of attempting to organize an event under the identical name “Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit,” a move NDEIS insists is an infringement on a trademark.

Amb. Nwiya highlighted that the NDEIS brand has been carefully developed over the years into a credible platform for economic dialogue and investment promotion in the region, even before the Chamber of Commerce was created.

He argues that the name has acquired significant goodwill and recognition among investors, government institutions, and international partners, saying he would not allow it to be traded off.

"As at the 2023 when we registered and trademarked Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit (NDEIS), this Chamber of Commerce was not yet established. In 2024, we proceeded to do the unveiling of this project at Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja, which was attended by former Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, the MD of Zenith Bank, Adaora Umeoji, UBA Chairman was represented, the Minister for Budget and Planning, Ministry of Niger Delta, all attended the unveiling.

"We held the actual event in November 2024 and it was hosted and supported by the Rivers State Government. As at this time, the Chamber of Commerce was not there. It was through our report in that programme that the issue of establishment of the Chamber of Commerce was done", he said.

He cautioned the Niger Delta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Trade, Mines and Agriculture against intimidation and harassment.

Citing documentation to support their claims, Amb. Nwiya said that the trademark process was duly initiated and advanced through the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, including acceptance and publication in the Trademark Journal without opposition. This, he maintains establishes exclusive rights to the name and associated branding.

In the legal notice, the NDEIS founder warned that the Chamber’s planned event, reportedly scheduled for May 2026, risks misleading the public and stakeholders by creating the false impression of affiliation or continuity with the established summit.

He described the use of both the full name and its acronym “NDEIS” as a deliberate attempt to benefit from the reputation already built.

His lawyers have consequently demanded the immediate withdrawal of all promotional materials linked to the disputed event and called for a complete rebranding.

He also issued a strict compliance timeline, warning that failure to adhere would trigger legal proceedings, including injunctions to halt the event and claims for damages.

Amb. Nwiya in addition indicated intention to notify relevant authorities, including state and federal agencies, to prevent any form of official endorsement or participation in what he termed an infringement of legally protected intellectual property.

The Great Reversal: 18 Lawmakers Who Fled PDP Now Flee Accord Party

18 Osun Lawmakers Set to Dump Accord Party Amid Leadership Crisis, Court Battle

Fresh political uncertainty is brewing in Osun State as no fewer than 18 lawmakers of the State House of Assembly are reportedly set to dump the Accord Party, barely months after defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to a release signed by Yusuf Adegboye, the Secretary of the Accord Libration Movement of Osun Accord party, The planned exit, according to multiple party sources, is being driven by growing discontent over the party’s internal instability, particularly the unresolved leadership crisis currently before the court. The lingering legal battle over who controls the party structure has reportedly created confusion and weakened confidence among key stakeholders.

Insiders revealed that the lawmakers, who had initially moved to Accord in what was seen as a strategic political realignment, are now reconsidering their positions amid fears that the party may not provide the stable platform required for their political survival.

A source familiar with the development said the situation within the party has become increasingly untenable. “There is no clear leadership direction at the moment. The issue of who is in charge is still in court, and that uncertainty is affecting everyone,” the source said.

The crisis was further compounded by the resignation of Hon. Adesina Atanda Rabiu, the lawmaker representing Iwo State Constituency, whose exit is widely viewed as a signal of deeper cracks within the party. Observers believe his departure may have emboldened other aggrieved members to consider leaving.

Another party insider suggested that the lawmakers’ loyalty to the platform has been significantly shaken. “They came into Accord expecting a cohesive structure, but what they met is a party battling itself in court. That is not the kind of environment politicians want to operate in, especially with elections around the corner,” the source alleged.

Political analysts warn that the potential mass exit could significantly weaken the Accord Party’s presence in Osun and disrupt ongoing political calculations in the state. The development is also seen as having possible implications for Governor Ademola Adeleke, amid speculations of political alignments involving the party.

It was gathered that bearing any last minute change, members representing : Olorunda
, Ifelodun, Ifedayo, Ila, Ife South, Ife East, Aiyedire, Olaoluwa, Ayedaade, Ilesa East, Osogbo, Ede South, Orolu/Irepodun, Ife Central and Egbedore could be on their way out of the Accord party.

“The instability within Accord could ripple into broader political dynamics in Osun,” an analyst noted. “If the lawmakers eventually leave, it will diminish the party’s influence and could affect alliances tied to the upcoming election.”

With the court yet to resolve the leadership dispute, uncertainty continues to hang over the party’s future, leaving members and stakeholders in a state of apprehension as the political landscape ahead of 2027 begins to take shape.

Segun Showunmi Donates Relief Materials to FCT IDPs, Calls for Improved Living Conditions

Leader of the Alternative Movement, Segun Showunmi, on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to an Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in the Wassa area of the Federal Capital Territory, where he donated relief materials and medical supplies to support displaced families living in the settlement, ABUJAPRESS reports

Showunmi, who is also a governorship aspirant in Ogun State, arrived at the camp with members of his entourage to identify with the residents and offer words of encouragement to those facing difficult circumstances following their displacement.

During the visit, he presented assorted relief materials, including food items and medical supplies, aimed at improving the living conditions and health of the camp residents.

The politician, however, expressed concern over the poor state of the facilities at the camp, noting that the structures accommodating hundreds of displaced persons were not adequate for decent living.

Speaking with residents and community leaders, Showunmi urged the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to urgently intervene to improve conditions in the camp and ensure that the displaced persons receive the care and dignity they deserve.

“What I have seen here today is deeply concerning. These are fellow Nigerians who have been forced out of their homes through no fault of theirs, and they deserve to live in conditions that reflect dignity and humanity. Government must do more to ensure that IDPs are properly catered for,” Showunmi said.

He added that beyond emergency relief materials, there was a need for long-term solutions that would help displaced persons rebuild their lives.

“While humanitarian support like this is important, we must begin to think about sustainable solutions, particularly education for the children, healthcare, and opportunities that will help these families regain stability and hope for the future,” he added.

Residents of the camp expressed appreciation for the visit and the donations, noting that such gestures bring hope to displaced communities struggling with daily challenges.

EducationThe Same Rage For Paternity Fraud: Apply It To Degree Procurement. by StoriesUpdate(op): 9:35am On Mar 07
The Same Rage for Paternity Fraud: Apply It to Degree Procurement.

The decadence and rote in the education system have left degree holders shameless, deserving no respect or trust, and with no moral obligations. They have completely obliterated every form of moral compass in society.

Your social status doesn’t matter.
Your oratory prowess cum fluency in spoken English, your fancy suits, exotic cars, and position in society do not suffice to the fact that during your first degree, you procured mercenaries to write your exams and do your project. It cannot be forgiven that, during your master's, MBA, or PhD, you cited, “I’m busy at work and hardly have time for myself,” and then you contracted your project work to someone to help you get it done. You deserve no place in the midst of intellectuals.

This is your situation.
A perfect scenario of your situation is likened to that of a cheating wife who got pregnant by another man while still married to her caring and loving husband. The husband has taken care of the child for a reasonable number of years, bonding with and caring for the child with no reservation, and finally finds out through a DNA test that the child he had cared for for so many years is not biologically his. Imagine the pain, the agony, and the rage that brews in that man’s eyes with heartbreak. From the woman's perspective, she feels shame and regret at that moment. Taken together, this is how you who earned the degrees you're proud of are meant to feel. Shame, shame, and more shame, and society should treat you with disdain with the kind of anger the man with a failed paternity test feels.

Let’s put this in another perspective.
Like the story of the leper in the bible, the way lepers were treated in society back then ought to be your reality in the committee of intellectuals. If you are reading this article, you should not be appointed to any public office or allowed to lead any sensitive role. Because, tell me, how would you feel, for instance, as a man, if you saw a beautiful lady whom you admire? You approached her, exchanged contacts, started dating, went through the full courtship process, and planned and executed a court wedding, a traditional marriage, and a white wedding. On the night marking the beginning of your honeymoon, you booked an exclusive exotic island with premium services. Then you procure a man to make love to your newly married wife. Your reason is that you are busy with work-related responsibilities. Mind you, you are very healthy and sound, with the right energy to give any woman the best treatment and satisfaction in the bedroom. This man you contracted with enjoys your beautiful, elegant, and gorgeous newlywed wife and has gotten her pregnant with twin baby boys. Tell me, as a man, will you be proud of yourself in the midst of legitimate fathers in your circle, knowing that those boys are not biologically yours? The answer is NO. This is how the procurement of degrees feels demeaning.

Pause your education if you are busy with work. It is not a do-or-die affair.
If you are busy with work and you are unable to handle both work responsibilities and education, quit or pause the studies and concentrate on what puts food on your table, and then continue with your academic pursuit when you feel you have the time instead of ridiculing yourself for procuring a degree. You should fail an exam or project and retake it, not pay someone to write an exam for you or do your project work. Your PhD, MBA, Master’s, and BSc project work is not an “invention programme". You are not tasked to invent something new that has never existed. This is research on existing events, so using artificial intelligence is not a crime.

Should I use AI in my research?
Yes, using AI to aid your research is ideal. What is not acceptable is using AI-generated content as your final product. This is why paraphrasing was imperative, especially when there was no internet and no AI. Research was conducted in the libraries and through site visits. However, the information gathered was paraphrased in your own words, making it original. So while you are using the right prompts to get the best research results from AI platforms, you need to paraphrase them into your own words. This will not only boost your writing skills but also give you the confidence to speak boldly about the research topic without fear.

It is better to score a C (Pass) by yourself than to score an A (Distinction) by procurement.
Back then, in secondary school during WAEC, some teachers organized mercenaries to help students with the exams. This was championed by a teacher called 'Uncle X', not his real name. Uncle X has been in this business for 25+ years. He looks good and dresses well, and all the young, beautiful teaching practice ladies flirted with him, and he “bagged” them all. Uncle X didn’t need to touch his meager teacher's salary to fund his expensive lifestyle; he was making enough money from exam-mercenary supplies. During the exams, he would ask students to pay a specified amount. In my set, the fee was N1000 per student (in 2001). Students who paid will be separated from those who didn’t, and the exam halls were named Heaven and Hell.

Most of the challenges we faced at my school were due to a lack of teachers.
Some subjects never had a teacher. Further Mathematics (Engineering Maths) was one of the subjects with no teacher in the entire school. As a mathematics lover and science student, I purchased the Further Mathematics textbooks: Projects 1, 2, and 3. The books were for SS1, SS2, and SS3, respectively. I engaged in self-study and group studies with my friends. During the exams, a few of my friends and I refused to pay the N1000 for the exam aid, and, as you can tell, we were isolated from those who paid and were sent to the “Hell” exam hall with strict invigilation. In the end, I earned a C in further mathematics, did well in other subjects, and went on to obtain a BSc and an MBA with no form of procurement.

The irony of this story is that, in my class at the time, there was a particular student whom we all knew was a dullard. He was among the bad, illiterate boys who sat in the back row and never answered questions or passed tests. But at the end of our WAEC exam. He emerged as the best-performing student, with many As (Distinctions). He couldn't even believe his own results, so that he couldn’t celebrate them. So how did he ace the exam? He paid the “Heavenly Exam Hall” fee and a special package, too. He had a mercenary who wrote the entire exam for him. So you see the negative effects of degree procurement: a lack of confidence and pride in defending it. So for those of you who have procured your PhD, MBA, Master’s, or even BSc, you should hide your faces in shame. The Dr., Prof, or any form of appellation that prefixes your name is marred with moral decadence and shamelessness. It does not matter the political position you hold, the leadership role you hold in society, or the wealth you have amassed; you are simply a degree miller who should be an outcast like the lepers in the Bible, far from hardworking academics at intellectual gatherings.

EducationRotary Abuja Jabi Lakeside Redefines Community Safety in Kuchingoro by StoriesUpdate(op): 1:00pm On Mar 02
Our Environment, Our Peace”: Rotary Abuja Jabi Lakeside Redefines Community Safety in Kuchingoro

ABUJA: The Rotary Club of Abuja Jabi Lakeside launched its project dubed "Our Environment , Our Peace' in the Kuchingoro Community. It challenges the traditional view of security asserting that a clean, sustainable environment is the foundation of social stability and conflict prevention.

By integrating environmental stewardship with peacebuilding, the Club is addressing the root causes of community tension: poor sanitation, blocked infrastructure, and resource-driven friction.

The Philosophy: Our Environment, Our Peace

Speaking at the launch, the President of the Club, Rotarian Caroline Morah, emphasized that the project title is a call to action.

"We cannot have a peaceful community in a degraded environment," Morah stated. "'Our Environment, Our Peace' reflects the reality that when we take care of our surroundings, we remove the stressors—like disease and flooding—that often lead to neighborhood disputes. A healthy community is a harmonious one."

Practical Tools for a Plastic-Free Future
To ensure the "Our Environment, Our Peace" vision lasts beyond a single day, the Club moved from advocacy to direct action:
Combatting Plastic Pollution: In a strategic move to clear Kuchingoro’s drainage systems, the Club distributed reusable bags to residents. This aims to slash the community's reliance on single-use plastics, the primary culprit behind the stagnant water and flooding that plagues the area.
Empowering Local Leaders: The Kuchigoro Peace Ambassadors, the Club’s primary community partners, received a massive donation of sanitation equipment, including wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, gloves, and rain boots to maintain the standards set during the exercise.
A Legacy of Impact
The community’s enthusiastic turnout was a testament to the 13-year partnership between the Rotary Club and Kuchingoro. Chief Ibrahim Wambi, the Chief of the community, lauded the Club for its consistency, noting that the "Our Environment, Our Peace" initiative is exactly what is needed to foster long-term unity.

As residents cleared gutters and adopted reusable alternatives to plastic, the message was clear: Peace is not just the absence of war; it is the presence of a clean, sustainable environment.

Louis maintained that Iconic International Holdings (Pty) Ltd has officially cemented its status as the continent’s largest and most influential recognition platform, following its landmark summit in Harare.

For instance, during the Night of the Prestigious Iconic Africa Honors, The First Lady of Zimbabwe, Her Excellency, Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa, was conferred with the Iconic Woman of the Year Award for her transformative humanitarian work, while His Royal Highness, Prince Lindani (Kingdom of Eswatini), was recognized for his influential leadership in regional youth empowerment and cultural diplomacy.

Iconic International Holdings is now the largest platform dedicated to documenting the success of our continent and ensuring that African icons are celebrated by Africans, on African soil," he said.

As the delegates return to their respective nations, the momentum generated in Harare is expected to drive new bilateral agreements and youth-focused policies across the SADC region and beyond.
