One can imagine the job opportunities not to talk of the discovery and innovation this study will bring to Nigeria and Africa as a whole’.

Martins Acha believes that the exponential growth of Contract Research Organisations (CRO) will fuel the industry thereby building capacity and giving Africans the requisite training and technological innovations. Mr. Acha who is an expert in Oncology, Infectious Disease, Rare Disease, CNS, Dermatology, Clinical Studies and General Clinical Study Support in a press statement called on African Leaders to invest in this growing industry by collaborating with US big market players and adopting fast paced, trustworthy clinical trials. He believes Africa is very much untapped in availability of trial sites and subjects for diseases that are peculiar to the continent. The people of Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency are bitterly complaining, feeling shortchanged by the previous unreliable representatives. Hardly does anyone see any bold constituency projects in the zone. This has left many questions in the minds of the constituents: How did we get here? How come the Oyi/Ayamelum representative is not reckoned with in the scheme of things in the National Assembly? The king of six nations in Asia, Eze Amb. Jerome Ezeneche has once again, through his foundation, King of Six Nations Charity and Care Foundation shown his philanthropic spirit.

ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports that this time, his large heart was felt in faraway Thailand. In the spirit of Easter which also coincides with the Thai holiday, he decided to share money and food to the less privileged in the society. According to him, “it is always good to remember the needy in the society, considering the fact that it is one of the best ways to serve God and humanity”.

Speaking further, Igwe Ezeneche pleaded with the well to do people in the society to make it a deliberate action to render help and provide for the needy not just occasionally but at all times. He stated that in so doing, we are fulfilling the biblical injunction of loving our neighbors. He maintained that social vices are rife in our society because of the widening gap between the rich and the less privileged and this social vices can be curbed to a large extent by personal and collective sacrifices.

Igwe Ezeneche used the opportunity to thank the Thai people for their hospitality, stressing that it was the kind of good society they have built over the years that made it possible for majority of the immigrants to be successful and thanked Thai authorities for the good leadership they have provided not just for their citizens but for immigrants also.

Igwe Amb. Jerome Ezeneche has continued to be celebrated as one of the greatest Igbo philanthropists both in Nigeria and in Thailand. It was for this reason he set up KING OF SIX NATIONS CHARITY AND CARE FOUNDATION through which he has continued to reach out to a good number of less privileged in the society in areas like health, education, housing and provision of basic needs. ABPFEON: King Fajag, Others Sworn In As National Pageant Executives

Olufunsho Alexander Ajagbonna, popularly known as King Fajag along with other executive members of Association of Beauty Pageant and Fashion Exhibition Organisers of Nigeria ABPFEON were on Monday sworn in as they took oath of Office in Abuja following their victory at the recently conducted congress of the association.

Otunba Tosin Adeladun, the National Electoral College Chairman of the association said the inauguration of the new executive members empowers them to discharge their functions, urging them to do so without fear or favour.

Maritime Development: Somatrix Marine Signs Strategic MoU With South Africa's Sandock Austral Shipyards In Durban

In an effort to strengthen maritime relationship between Nigeria and South Africa, as well as promoting the development of modern marine infrastructure, a Nigerian indigenous ship design and construction company, Somatrix Marine Ltd has concluded the signing of a memorandum of understanding on strategic partnership with Sandock Austral Shipyards, SAS.

SAS is formerly known as South African Shipyard. Top management of both companies were present for official sealing of the partnership deal.

The delegation of Somatrix Marine was led by the CEO, Engr. Eferebo I. Sylvanus who also signed on behalf of his company while Prasheen Maharaj who is the Chief Executive Officer of Sandock Austral Shipyards signed on behalf his organisation.

A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Ben Nwankwo on Wednesday picked the Senatorial nomination and expression interest forms to represent the people of Anambra South Senatorial District in 2023.

Hon. Nwankwo, popularly known as lsingidi Orumba who was a member of Prof. Charles Soludo Transition Committee was accompanied to the party's national secretariat in Abuja by some traditional rulers and supporters.

Hon. Nwankwo worked as a Special Adviser to The Governor of Anambra State from 1999 to 2000. He also worked as a Commissioner in the State, serving in three different ministries; Works & Transport (2001-2002), Housing & Urban Development (2002-2003) and Finance & Budget (2002-2003).

Even before his decision to join in the Senate race, he had attracted commendations among his supporters and loyalists who believe that Hon. Nwankwo is outstanding in leadership and service.

*Anambra 2023: Six Villages In Ogbunike Endorse Barr. Ifeyinwa Morah For Reps*

The six villages that make up Ogbunike community in Oyi local government area of Anambra State have endorsed Barr. Ifeyinwa Morah as their candidate for Oyi/Ayamelum federal constituency in the 2023 general elections.

The six villages, Ukalor, Osile, Azu, Umueri, Amawa and Ifite through their leaders said Barr. Morah is a symbol of pride and performance who has shown them love over the years, noting that this is time to appreciate her. Barr Ifeyinwa Morah who is a Bona Fide Daughter from Ogbunike born into the Wealthy Popular [i]UMENYIORA ROYAL FAMILY[/i] is also married in Ogbunike to an Oil and Gas Tycoon.

They made their position known on Monday during the official declaration of Barr. Ifeyinwa, a fulfilled Oil and Gas expert, to join in the race to represent the people of the constituency in the House of Representatives.

She made her official declaration in the presence of top officials of the PDP Hierarchy in a meeting they all Held at Hon. John Okonkwo’s residence at Azu Ogbunike, Oyi local government.

While urging the people for their support to help bring back what is due to them at the Federal House of Representatives, Barr. Morah urged them to resist intimidation and harassment and support her to win the ticket of the party, assuring that she will make them proud.

Speaking at the venue of the declaration, a member of Ogbunike community, Ichieë Nnaemeka Ignatius said Barr. Morah will receive all the needed support from them. They Stressed that she is a *Bona Fide* candidate for the Position, being that she is Born in Ogbunike - Married in Ogbunike - making her a FULL FLESHED ADA OYI OF OYI.

He said the aspirant has been a source of blessing to them, assuring that they all in the Party Hierarchy will give her the backing she needs. Her affluent Parental background also goes without saying that she is not one of those jobless hungry stooges used during election to solicit for electoral positions in other to do the bidding of their Political GodFathers.

Nze Chukwumezie Okoye a native of Amawa Ogbunike said Barr. Morah is a tested hand who has capacity to deliver and being a tested Legal Practitioner who fights the cause of others for a living, she will DEFINITELY FIGHT THE CAUSE OF HER PEOPLE TOO.

He expressed optimism that she will be different from her predecessors who forgot them shortly upon election, and decamped to other Political parties, stating that she will surely deliver when elected. *KADUNA TRAIN ATTACK- Presidential Aspirant, Tien Jack Rich Visits Kaduna State Govt Donates N15m to victims.

A foremost presidential aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress APC, Tien Jack Rich has visited Kaduna State where he condoled with the government and people of the state following the terrorist attack on Abuja-Kaduna bound train in which somel persons died while others sustained various degrees of injury.

He also made a presentation of N15m cash during the visit to families of the victims and support in the treatment of the injured ones. Tien Jack Rich, the President and Founder Belema Oil who was received by the Deputy governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe expressed sadness over the incident and prayed God to console the families who lost their loved ones.

Nasir el-Rufai Movement, a support group of the state Governor, Nasir el-Rufai announced Jack Rich's visit in a social media post on Friday 1April, 2022. They also thanked the presidential hopeful and his delegation for identifying with the government and people of the state and the country at large at these trying periods.

Music Artistes, Horace Tempo Reveals How Covid-19 Lockdown Inspired Him Into Production

A popular music artiste, Horace Tempo has finally revealed what inspired him into the craft of music production, giving thanks to the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown which had people confined to their homes early 2020.

In an interview recently, the artiste said the lockdown afforded him the opportunity to master the craft, secure the blessings of his mentors and proceeded to have his first production which was also released in 2020.

Horace Tempo who said he is addicted to music consumption also added that the same passion led him to study music production.

He said, "Early 2020 when the covid19 pandemic hit the world and we were under lockdown, I mastered my craft and got the blessings of a few of my mentors, and that’s how I produced my first record The Ride and released it early 2020."

He further stated that his trust in God is the backbone of his success as an artiste and a producer, noting that he committed his life to God and trust in him.

He also said that the artistes determine the genre of music with the energy and vibrancy they bring on board, urging that producers should do more to update their skills in order to be viable in the entertainment world and secure decent contracts.

"Usually the energy that artists bring into a session is what translates in the beat, lyrics and genre or sound produced after the session.

"So as a producer, I’ll say you should not stop acquiring knowledge about the key instruments and sounds of all genres, but! You have to master at least mixing one genre, and then that will enable you to become commercial and get decent gigs.

"When you have acquired a decent fanbase, whatever your sound is, you can now specialize in it and trust me, your fans will ride with you" he added.

Engr Ogiemwonyi described Prof. Grace Alele Williams as an Amazon a woman of many firsts, a trailblazer, an outstanding woman of integrity, a renowned mathematician and the first Nigerian female Vice-Chancellor at the University of Benin (UNIBEN) the first Nigerian woman to receive a doctorate.

Prof. Grace Alele Williams a scholar, an administrator per excellence was a great role model to the female gender whom she inspired with her brilliance and diligence.

Thankful to God she lived a life of great impact, the late scholar's drive and love for knowledge earned her many recognitions/awards in Nigeria & across the globe.

Her lasting memories will remain in the heart of those she left behind and they shall cherish her forever.

The “Arm Our Youths Health Campaign”, a technology-driven anti-breast and anti-cervical cancer initiative, has commenced across the 37 orientation camps for the Batch A, Stream One, of Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.


The program, being delivered by the OCI Foundation in conjunction with the Nigerian Cancer Society (NCS), the First Ladies Against Cancer (NCS), and the Sweet Home Africa Humanitarian Foundation, also offers raffle giveaways to corps members. The Draw for the 2022 Batch-A, Stream-One, was held on March 11, 2022, with 20 winners emerging. The winner’s list is attached. A video recording of the Raffle Draw exercise is also attached.


This is the first of a Raffle Draw that will hold 6 times a year, every year, from now on.

Earlier, in a statement made available to Journalists in Abuja, the program convener, the Onyebuchi Chris Ifediora (OCI) Foundation, said the programme is being implemented by the NYSC in collaboration with the Nigeria Cancer Society and the Nigerian First Ladies Against Cancer, as well as Sweet Home Humanitarian Foundation.


The statement recalled that the OCI Foundation had in October 2021, trained staff of the NYSC from across the 36 States and the FCT, ahead of this nationwide roll-out.


It explained further that the training included details of the functionalities of CerviBreast Mobile Phone Application, an anti-cancer App introduced by the Foundation to help with the early detection of Breast and Cervical Cancers.


“The Foundation also launched a digital cervical cancer screening centre with Nigeria’s FCT,” the statement said.


“On February 3, 2022, Wife of the President Aisha Buhari, launched the official commencement of the Anti-Cancer Health Campaign in Abuja,” it added.


In Anambra and Katsina states, the trained NYSC anchors for the Programme, Mrs Ujunwa Ubboe and Mrs Helen Sakyenu, informed the corps members that through the Cervi-Breast App, they would obtain the required preventive information, including Nollywood-themed videos relating to breast and cervical cancers.

According to the trainers, after the three weeks orientation and further online courses, corps members may be able to pass on the acquired knowledge to other youths in their host communities.
