Queen of the North, Lisa Yaro Bags Who Is Who Stand Of Fame Award
An international music artiste and Queen of the North, Lisa Yaro has been honoured with Who Is Who Stand Of Fame award in recognition of her humanitarian gestures and efforts to improve education in the country.
Yaro, an actress expressed gratitude to God for the recognition and pledged that she would continue to use her non-governmental organisation to advance the welfare of the less privileged in the society.
The Kaduna born entertainer thanked the organisers of the award, Who Is Who Media for finding her worthy of the recognition, saying she is not taking it for granted, adding that it's a privilege she would not forget.
She had earlier visited school of the deaf in Kuje where her foundation Industry For God pledged to donate teaching aids, dining tables, barber clippers and wash kits for the students and management.
She was also at the University of Abuja where she doled our cash prizes in scholarships. The last stop on behalf of the organization was at the internally displaced persons camp in Durumi Abuja where Industry For God donated relief materials and equally pledged to equip the clinic and reopened the school in the camp that has since been closed down due to lack of teachers and volunteers.
Yaro who has performed for top rated musicians, including Tubaba, Flavour, Asake and took part in other shows in the United States said she seeks to pass a message with her music, saying she is always mindful of what she says as music lyrics are very important.
According to her, she seeks to use her music to inspire and shape the future of numerous African youths.
She urged youths on the continent not to be discouraged but focus in chasing their dreams irrespective of the challenges they may face.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Nigerian Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi has played host to one of the most consistent and multi-talented entertainers in Nigeria Onwunarugwu Ndubuisi Joseph, also known as Shortcut.
This comes ahead of the fifth anniversary of Shortcut's show tagged "Leave Comedy for Shortcut" (Cruise 5.0) coming up in the city of Abuja on November 25.
He was accompanied to the visit at Force headquarters by his friends and colleagues, some of who will perform at the event.
In his response, Adejobi congratulated Shortcut for his consistency in the industry, leading the the fifth edition of the event.
He also applauded the entertainer for using his platform to engage young people, a move he said has assisted in reducing crime in the country.

In a bid to alleviate poverty and give indigenes of Kwara an improved livelihood, a non-governmental organisation, Yahaya Seriki Foundation has doled out the sum of N250m to 1,800 artisans, students, market men and women, as well as petty traders from across the state.
According to the foundation, this is part of fulfilling its mandate anchored on reducing poverty, hunger, disease, illiteracy, environmental degradation, and discrimination against women in line with UN Millennium Development Goals.
Speaking at the event on Saturday, the foundation's founder, Yahaya Seriki a big player in the minerals sector expressed gratitude to the people of the state for the support they have given him over the years.
He said the sector is highly capital intensive, a situation that led his company, KURSI Investment Ltd, a leading mining company in Nigeria to embark on exploration activities for over 15 years, expressing gratitude to the government of Kwara for providing the enabling environment for mining to thrive through adequate security.
According to him, at least 70% of those in his employ are indigene of Kwara, a strategic move to ensure that they get a decent means of livelihood, adding that it is not political.
Cheques totalling the sum of N250m were issued out various categories of beneficiaries, targeting at least 1,800 indigenes of the state.
In the category of N500,000, Ameenat Alao Saadu, Ibraheem Rabiat Atonitenu, Adeoye Bola Elizabeth, Khadijat Sheriki and others emerged as beneficiaries.
Similarly, Fatai Olajumoke Soma, Shaibu Balikisu, Oyewole Wale Femi and several others benefitted from the N250,000 category.
Several beneficiaries also emerged from the N50,000 category.
During a session of testimonial remarks, a geologist, Mr. Umar Habeeb Adeshina said he had scholarship too for his doctorate degree studies at a foreign university.
Similarly, one Salihu Aishat Tobani a laboratory scientist was offered employment at KURSI Investment Ltd while Dr. Hammed Ayuba a human resources benefitted from a PhD scholarship among several others.
The traditional ruler in Kwara State, Alh. Saheed Sauda Adifa was also issued with a cheque of N50m for disbursement to his subjects.
In his remarks, governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed gratitude to the foundation for its support and collaboration with the state government in ensuring that poverty is fought among indigenes.
While applauding the selflessness of Yahaya Seriki, the governor also thanked him for using his platform to meaningfully engage several youths of Kwara states, noting that such efforts help in nation-building.

Reigning Miss Tourism Nigeria, Joy Ebere Emerges Entrepreneur of The Year
The reigning Miss Tourism Nigeria, Joy Ebere has been honoured with the award of Entrepreneur of The Year 2023 at the recently concluded Nigeria Youth Summit.
The award certificate dated August 10, 2023 says the honour is in recognition of her giant strides in entrepreneurship and business development.
The award was organized by Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development CEPASD in collaboration with Peace Ambassador Agency.
The 2023 edition of the Nigeria Youth Summit which is second in the series was held in commemoration of international youth day 2023
It had as the Theme: "Advancing Youth Innovation in Entrepreneurship" and held at Nigeria National Merit House, Maitama Abuja.
The organizing committee chairman, Mr. Igweshi Augustine stated that the goal of the 2nd edition of Nigeria Youth Summit is to explore the dreams and aspirations of Nigerian youth in advancing youth innovation in entrepreneurship and national cohesion.

The Big Break Moment Africa activated its edutainment reality TV show for the second season with a mountain hike experience for students and celebrities.
This event took place over the weekend right after the first auditions of the season in the same venue. A large crowd of students poured in with their sporty wear ready to have the biggest adventure of the year. Each one of them got a number tag to ascertain their identity amounting to over 4992 students in attendance.
BossLadyLaw the Executive Producer gyrated the crowd with blasts of sumptuous support that made the hike all the more fun. Other celebrities Influncer’s who graced the occasion include Seyi Vodi, Bassey E. Bassey, Lucy Edet from BBN, Fancy Daniel, Magnito, Bitaris, Anikstar, Afro_mz, Fari Elysian, Heelariouz_architect and many more.
The first seven students to arrive at the peak of the mountain were awarded $100 each, while 50 lucky students were given scholarships by the popular Seyi Vodi. Excitement filled the air until it was time to alight the mountain and call it a successful day.
Auditions continue in other states across the country and are expected to see many talented students turn up to show their skills for a chance to be selected into the dream house. The catch this year is a whopping 30 Million Naira worth of cash and prizes.

FIN Hosts 2023 Banking On Emerging Market Forum In Morocco
Foreign Investment Network (FIN) has concluded arrangements to host the 2023 edition of Banking On Emerging Market Forum on Oct 10, 2023.
The forum that will feature an award ceremony will be a sideline event at the joint meeting of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) meeting.
It is an annual event that attracts high-profile African key economic leaders to chart new frontiers to build the economy of the continent.
The 2022 edition had in attendance, the Minister of Finance in Angola, the Central Bank governor of Nigeria, his Angolan counterpart, and others.
