I humbly disagree...there is no respectable african country that disregards education as much as nigeria does. Our schools are shyte bcs our FG would rather spend cash in their villages than on schools. Why do u think we all flee to ghana now? Ghana gives abt 31% of their national income to education....guess what the "giant of africa" gives....guess na....9%

D assembly ground, the matching songs( the day is bright, Johnbull my son, etc) d class work, boys/girls scout, e.t.c.. i really miss those days. Will skul ever be like dat again?

Naldogen: yeah I rmbr those days,sometimes i rlly got nostalgic.I thnk d reason scu were more lovely and interesting then was because that was d way the colonial masters handed it down to us.Education plus fun, and u wl find dats d way its bn run in western countries even tl date.Imagine u hardly find any University in Nigeria wt a Scu team for various Sports.People got too serious,u wudn't dear to join any scu team cos ur Lecturer doesn't care,He wl fail U.Our Scu system no longer favour fun,we are damn too serious,yet we are nt better than our fellow graduates in Western world. its now 'La Cram La Pour'.A lot of talent dies.Even Primary Scu is now boring,many scu don't av playing ground,but people wud say it doesn't matter ''na play una won go scu dey play?'' But does dat make them any better?

my brother dis thing u just said is what I've been complaining about. The older generation have absolutley no love for kids. We as nigerians don't think education is a big deal. To make matters worse its not even in our nature to be kind hearted. Think abt it na...have u ever seen a naija nurse hugging a grieving parent? Or a school teacher cleaning the tears of a crying pupil? I would have said God help us..but in this case.....we need to help ourselves and not make the same mistakes that the older generations made. If it were up to nigerians primary schools would lack color. U know all those beautiful colours in the sch compd stimulate the mind? All those nursery rhymes serve a purpose...naija sef! Seriously a primary sch w/o a playground? So sad

I dont know why delsu cant give me admission when i passed (51) their cut off mark (48). Delsu has delayed we the direct entry candidate. Though they are my second choice but i should be on their 2nd batch. Pls anyone here that knows how delsu works should let me know
