danox: I applied to UI last year but was denied admission also.I just decided to come back home and God's grace perfected everything.I think UI prefers A level.My CGPA is 4:27 on a scale of 5 and I was also not admitted.Na dat time I take no say na God dey give person admission

Hahahahaha! UI is annoying me. So after 4yrs in school they'll take A'levels over a complete graduate? Why don't dey just share it equally? Let everyone leave UI alone abeg. No be only dem get medicine. Their matter dey vex me. I have a friend that applied to unilag and ui....he got neither of the two now because of this preference for A'levels. I have no beef with A'level students but universities should tell people what they want so they can save their time. Its very irritating to me.

To Danox and Lamuel, I wish u d best....my only regret is not d denial of admission with that score buh me not being able to be in same class with these two guys and the elegant Storm!

I'm so so sorry....I don't know what happened in uniben this year. I swear sth changed. So sorry. Please don't give up. U are more than qualified for this. Ur 2.1 is one of the highest I've seen in a long while. U are a good person. God dey and in due time u'll remember today and laugh. Please don't give up oh. Just let God lead.

trust me buying 2forms isn't the problem. Mbbs in naija is just....difficult.....I'm now convinced. Cos there's really no logic behind him not getting it.

Emmm...I think @Lomaxx summed it up perfectly. U're gonna have to do the research for urself and then put in the effort to make it work. The truth is nobody can tell u which road to take. U're gonna have to figure that one out urself. Just do ur research on other healthcare professions and put in the work required to succeed. I sincerely wish u the best of luck. first, congratulations on your admission.....lol.
as for your friend, i can only give a dictionary definition of pharmacology...it is the study of drugs and their use in medicine. Its different from pharmacy which deals with the making and distribution of drugs.

Lol...guys there is nobody that is "just" a nurse....nursing is a great profession. I don't want to give the impression that anyone looks down on nursing as a profession.

But yeah, we see more female nurses than we do male nurses thats just a fact. And many male nurses still allow the normal stereotype to give dem grief. Everyone should be proud of their profession abeg...we all have our roles to play. And there's nothing wrong with being a male nurse or a female doctor

So my question is, If there is an ORAL interview stage before you are offered admission into the medical school and you are asked 'Why go for medicine, since you want to help people, why not Nursing?

That's the only answer I could come up with. Cos frankly kind nurses are just great healthcare professionals and do save lives. But I'd like to be able to do research and make some medical breakthroughs or sth (u go fear dreams na). I just feel studying medicine makes that easier to accomplish. I wouldn't be satisfied only attending to patients.

Doclight: Pls which uni, can one study medicine with D7 biology?

Haba! I'll be blunt oh....u need atleast a Credit pass (C) in biology to be even considered for any biolological science. You can do better than D7 in biology na. Start reading now and either write WAEC again or get ur GCE. Try to get ALL your o'level papers in ONE sitting.

I wrote WAEC twice myself so trust me when I say it can and should be done.

No school worth going to will accept a D7 in biology for pharmacy, nursing, mbbs, biochemistry, microbiology....zoology, botany, bio edu, agriculture...or ANY biological science.

I sincerely wish u the best dear.
