bk.babe97y: . . . . .and what if later investigatins reveal that Mr Femi Best was never a scammer? We know ourselves. The country is pretty small and people get into other people's business all the time. I am pretty sure he is a scammer DapoBear: ^-- Apparent that some Nigerians are not interested in rule of law. The rule of law has nothing to do with it This is Nigeria, there is no one setting you up, and there are no white people framing you up, like in OJ's case. The rule of law does not serve the interest of the common man. It is for the highest bidder; Case in point, OJ simpson. If you have the money, you can get a way with murder. In Nigeria however, we dont want you to get away with crime, however small it may be. Death to criminals is our slogan. Justice for all is tha aim. Jungle justice is the only language we understand. I love it that way. With Jungle justice, there is no waste of money, no unneccessary arguments and counter-arguements, no second chance for the criminal to hurt someone else, and there are no underhand deals. It is fair, and no one escapes it. |
Politics › Re: Mabel Segun, Others Win National Merit Award by stranger: 3:31pm On Dec 06, 2010 |
Aigus: Stranger: Mrs Mabel Segun is from Edo State and not a Yoruba woman (not that it matters - but facts are facts).
igbobuigbo: If you are really interested you can find out more about Mabel Segun at: http://www.mabelsegun.com
The terms of reference of the Nigerian National Merit Award are:
". . . to confer the Nigerian National Order of Merit (NNOM) Award on deserving Nigerian citizens who have contributed outstandingly to national development in the areas of Science, Medicine, Engineering/Technology, Humanities, including Arts and Culture and other fields of human endeavour . . . It is important to note that this award is not an exclusive preserve of academics alone as being erroneously held in some quarters." (http://www.nnma.gov.ng/AboutUs.html).
The NNOM awardees are selected by four Specialised Committees of Assessors (and not the President).
Finally, the Internet is a great source of information - use it. Yeah right And, Aderemi Kuku is from Abiya! |

desgiezd: I didnt compare Tinubu with Bola Ige, I only talked about the circumstances surrounding the Cicero's death.
Even if I compare Tinubu with Bola Ige, Im still very much on track because Tinubu is the brain behind the current wrestling of the Southwest from the grips of PDP and to me, thats commendable. Either you like it or not, Tinubu is the best political strategist in the Southwest today. Yeah right, Tinubu was the lawyer that went to court to defend Aregbesola He was the reason why Labour party won in Ondo state defeating the ACN candidate He was the one who prevented OGD from becoming the governor of Ogun state He understands the Nigerian state so much that he is feared in the North Tinubu is so great that without him, the judiciary would have ruled against ACN in Osun and Ekiti Tinubu is the most feared politician in the SW today; even Oyinlola respects him the way he respects and fears Uncle bola Ige Tinubu is so good that PDP would rather have him in their fold You'd better stop deceiving yourself. He is just a tout whose influence is only felt around Isale Eko and environs. Beyonde Isale Eko, he is just another confused Yoruba man who has no clue who he really is. |

Kobojunkie: e don become tactic to cry wolf so as to get attention in this Nigeria. Some months ago it was Jonathan Goodluck. Then Dokpesi tried it, now it's Tinubu's turn again. Abegi make we hear word o jare! No mind them my sister |

desgiezd: If you know the powers that Tinubu is confronting and rendering inconsequential, then you would take this more serious. Remember Bola Ige? Yeah right BTW, could you please stop comparing Bola Ige with Tinubu Bola Ige was an intellectual power house, a politician of international repute, the greatest orator of his generation, master strategist, man of integrity and character, the only Cicero from Esa-Oke. They had good reason to kill Bola Ige I doubt if any one wants Tinubu dead, he is not that important in the scheme of things. Beside Isale Eko, where else does he have influence? |

johndoe200: On the whole it is an invitation to anarchy. What stops the other states from doing the same thing. I think all right minded people should oppose this action. If the state government wants to change the system, they know how to do it. The M. O. T certificate is the only document, that is issued by states. All they will succeed in doing is making sure that this too will be taken away from them. Kobo is not right minded She is crazy! |

Ojigho: I've been following most posts on this section alot lately, and i guess it would be my turn today, seeking for advice.I'm in luv with this girl,we've been together for about 3years,and by God's grace i'd want to settle down with her.The only problem i have with her,and which hurts me alot is her ability to transfer aggression.Whenever she has a bad day,or has issues,i end up bearing the brunt of everything. We've talked about this same issue alot of times, she always promises to change, but ends up doing the same thing over and over again.Sometimes i'm like Wtf,i'm not the one that spoilt your day,and then she goes hysterical on me.I luv this girl,i'm not looking for the easy way out cos i know every relationship has it's own peculiar problems, but what do i do? Are you a man at all The next time she tries to 'transfer her agression' to you, beat the shyyt outta her. She'd learn never to mess with you again Isnt your gf female. Common be a man, and act like some one with a di*ck. Gosh, what if there was no NL, what would you do? report your gf to her parents? Why did God make you a man? What a girlie man you are. |

igbobuigbo: ^^^^^ An hausa/fulani person is spending more than that now; 8 years under Obj, 2 years as Pres and now again as VP. And if GEJ wins, they continue as VP. So your logic is porous, as usual. Always typing before thinking Atiku is from Adamawa------NE Yar'adua from Katsina-------NW And Since Yar'adua was from the NW, it made sense that GEJ picked his VP, from that part of the country, since the presidency was zoned there. And moreover, I don't care what the north chose to do with their slots, I am talking as a concerned southerner with vested interest in fairness to all zones comprised in the south. SW ans possibly SS cannot be expected to support SE for 12 straight years non-stop. Just as how SE cannot and will not blindly support a SWer for 12 years non stop. |
