PoliticsRe: Insight: Why Nigeria's Restive Oil Region Will Only Accept Jonathan - YAHOO NEWS by stronger: 10:33pm On Mar 22, 2015
egift:
There are many reasons why Buhari will lead Nigeria with a very peaceful Niger Delta, but here are few:
1. Buhari has good intentions for the region and they too will be watching him closely on how he makes decisions that affect them.
2. Buhari is a man of action and not into jesting. If he says AAA, go to the end of the world, it will remain AAA.
3. People of the region are already an integral part of Buhari's administration. Every State in the region is well represented in APC inner circles.
4. The trouble makers and their foot-lets are well known. We will not have problem picking them up if need be.
5. Finally, the Niger Delta region have 2 simple choices - To become a war zone OR the Developmental Hub of Nigeria.

But one thing I must make clear, Nigerians will not remain an appendage of Failure just for fear we may hurt the ego and greed of Jonathan and his wife. The region needs to be developed and empowered, that is what Buhari is offering.

God bless Nigeria.
Listen, what you have just spoken is GOLD!!

We can not pander to the threats of any region! What if the North feel injustice seeing as the south has now ruled for 15+ years since 1999?
Should we have impeached Jonathan just to pacify them?
What if the SE say it is our turn or Nigeria burns?
Should we kill Jonathan and put another Azikiwe form Imo?

The same way the Niger-Delta can NOT demand 4 years if MAJORITY of Nigerians want their INCOMPETENT SON OUT!!!
Zero tolerance!!

of course I have to feel sorry for the "foot soldiers" who may want to let themselves used.
Tompolo and co have millions abroad and can check out if the heat is too much.
Asari Dokubo is a citizen of benin Rep. and can simply move back there!

Let them beware!

PoliticsRe: I Am Prepared If Anything Bad Happens To GMB - Osinbajo by stronger: 10:08am On Mar 21, 2015
WombRaiders:
Lets asssume the improbable event of a Buhari win which will definitely see to a repeat of the Yaradua saga... Do you think the north will for one second allow Osinbanjo to assume the presidency? Also, do you think other regions outside the SW will even push for an Osinbanjo presidency as it was done with Goodluck? What will the SW be bringing to the table to protect an Osinbanjo presidency given that the Niger Delta militancy was what made ab0ki grow sense for once, do you have any way to force an Osinbanjo puppet presidency? The answer is a resounding NO!

The north through the National assembly will call for an interim govt and ask Osinbanjo to step down. The Niger Delta and Southeast will just look the other way as events unfold. The battle line will then be drawn between the House of Gambari and the Slave camps of Odua. The outcome will leave a sour taste to Yorubas and for the first time they will begin to look at secession.

Any secessionist threat, thought or agenda will be put down with violent furry by the north. In the fog of all this confusion we in the ND will simply pull out. Your postponed slavery into the Caliphate will then be restarted and then you will ask yourself how a drug dealer, embezzler, d0pe head bastard was able to make you believe that Buhari was the messiah.

But not to worry, Buhari is set to lose again so you can rest your cowardly head gently till nemesis comes knocking.
Hmmm. . nice one!

Usually, I don't respond to PRE-TEENS like you, but for you I will make an exception!

Lets's start with some assumptions;

(1) Let's assume the improbability that you have a brain. Let's stretch it even further and assume that it functions up to 0.005% of it's capacity.

(2) Let's assume that you are capable of simple comprehension

Now look at the highlighted, you just said that if (WHEN) Buhari wins and becomes president, he will DEFINITELY die in office (a repeat of the Yaradua saga. . your words)

That's the first line. tell me why I should even read any of the other garbage you wrote?

(1) Make no mistakes about it! Anyone who wishes death on another person WILL DIE! It's Karma, simple.

(2) Anyone who wants us to continue with the absolute disaster that is this govt because of some senseless theory about power shift and any of the totally stupid crap you wrote is WORSE THAN THE SCUM OF THE EARTH!!! A scum of the earth is better than the GEJ govt!

I will not, naturally, be responding to any of your further crap! To say you are beneath me in intellect will be patronizing you!

Run along now and go do your chores. Don't ever come around when adults are talking. Okay son?

Bye Felicia!

I see so many people ranting, as usual.

DEATH can come to ANYONE at ANYTIME!!!

Even Osibanjo can die tomorrow, YOU reading this can die tomorrow. It's a possibility.

Just like it is possible for GMB to die anytime, it is possible for GEJ to die tomorrow.

Based on that probability, which is only determined by GOD, Osibanjo has said he is ready/

OP. . nice one!

This thread makes a lot of sense! Aren't you about a year late with your "findings" though?

Poops like you are the reason your incompetent president waited for 2 WEEKS to make a statement about the girls. because he was in a state of disbelief! And he went dancing at rallies instead.

Now tell me investigator;

**Your INCOMPETENT GOVT has ADMITTED that the girls have been found, located, almost negotiated out of captivity etc for the past 1 year! I suppose they have been dealing with ghosts right?
** Who were the girls in the Boko Haram Video? Asari Dokubo's concubines? Just like him, after seeing the video he still thinks they were imaginary!
**THE US GOVERNMENT had intelligence on the girls and gave YOUR INCOMPETENT GOVT, who in turn revealed it to Boko Haram! Were the US/UK govts dealing with ghosts!
**Your INCOMPETENT President ha said he believes the girls are still alive! Is he talking about barbie dolls? Why is your clueless president talking about YOUR "imaginary" girls?

Are you so incapable of logical reasoning? Don't you see you are a victim of the inept system we have in this country? Accept my sympathies. if you read all I have just wrote 56 more times, maybe you will comprehend it, apologise for your folly and delete this thread.

But I suspect you will come ranting about GEj till 5857676!
PoliticsRe: Considering The Acts Of Public Speaking; Between GMB & GEJ Who Is Better? by stronger:

Good thread @ Medley

I'm pro-GMB and I'll try to be objective

1. Use of language & rhetorics
Based on their pre-written speeches, I'll give this to GMB by far! Did you read/listen to the Chatham house speech? Wow! But of course it's hard to give either of them credit for pre-written speeches because you don't know who wrote them (likely professional speech writers).
In terms of unrehearsed speeches, I'll say a draw. Either of them are not fantastic.

2. Ability to transmit information
Roughly same as 1.

3. Effectual message communication.
I'll give this to GMB. GEJ tends to RAMBLE a lot goodness! That's why if you follow their campaign rallies, GEJ keeps talking about Buhari, goat and yams, stealing/corruption etc. Not EFFECTIVE. Buhari tends to go straight to the point with short answers (which sometimes leave you wanting more though)

4. Motivate audience
This should probably to GEJ because he is more engaging and if the QUALITY of their messages were equal, then he would be better at motivating an audience.

5. Ability to keep audience interested.
I'll give this to GEJ in terms of the fact that he uses analogies (goat and yam) and pronunciations (nyung) etc that will make you laugh. But he is generally more engaging. GMB can be very stiff and it's thus easy to lose interest.

6. Ability to change the emotion of their listeners
Same as 4 roughly

9. Body language
Here it's a tie. GEJ can look quite CLUELESS trust me. When he talks sometimes, it's like he is been forced or he is afraid of something or needs to pee. He has improved over the years though. GMB's body language is not fantastic most times. Sometimes he seems angry, almost condescending lol.

Overall, they are both horrible public speakers.

atlwireles:
Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has said he hopes that all territory seized by Islamist militant group Boko Haram will be retaken within a month.

But he admitted the security forces had been slow to respond to the insurgents' initial advance in north-east Nigeria.

Abducted girls 'alive'

However, President Jonathan admitted in the interview that the authorities "never expected that they [Boko Haram] would build up that kind of capacity".

He added: "We underestimated their external influence. Since after the civil war we've not fought any war, we don't manufacture weapons, so we had to look for help to re-equip our army and the air force."

President Jonathan may have faced huge criticism at home and abroad for his handling of the insecurity in the north-east but he seems unwilling to concede any mistakes have been made.

The president also said he believed the 219 schoolgirls abducted from Chibok by Boko Haram last year were still alive, adding that the authorities continued their search for them.

"I believe we'll get them," the president added.

The interview comes just days before Nigerians are due to vote in presidential elections.

Despite stiff competition from the opposition, Mr Jonathan said: "I'll surely win."

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-31979524
See highlighted!

(1) He admits the military was slow (considering it took 4 years for them to really act, SLOW is an understatement). He admits that he underestimated them! Yet he refuses to admit that mistakes were made! God!

(2) He says he BELIEVES the Chibok girls are alive! Not based on any military intelligence, just belief. And in fact he even said a few weeks back that he thinks they are alive because BH has not displayed their bodies! How is this man the president of a country?? PedroJP:
It will be a crime for Igbos to choose GMB to GEJ even if GEJ keeps sidelining Igbos. Buhari has scores to settle with wasted lives of Igbos. That aside, we don't need anybody to woo us with money b4 we take our decisions. Reason we are special. I don't think any other tribe enjoys standard of living in Nigeria more than the Igbos, so even if cheated one way, we gain through many ways. Just wait and see things unfold to the good of the SE.
Buhari has scores to settle with Ibos? What? Go take some history lessons o on Buhari's role in the Biafra war. He wasn't one of the evil guys. fact!

Secondly, it's not about wooing you with money. Don't sell yourselves cheap and queue up behind one party (putting all eggs in one basket).
Extract concessions. Withhold endorsements a little bit. Make them toast you.

Cheers
PoliticsRe: ELECTION 2015:-the Igbos Are Left Out by stronger: 7:19pm On Mar 19, 2015
Good write-up.

I think the Ibos need to;

(1) Purge themselves of the Hausa/Fulani hatred. So important as this election has shown that you need an alliance with the north to really advance your regional cause to the National level. It's the truth. Of course because of historical strife with the north, this is going to be the most difficult step. But if it is over come, huge!

(2) Conversation among themselves. They need a united conversation and cause. What do we want? Serious question

(3) And then as the writer said, after a proper re-integration, don't sell yourselves cheap! Make other regions toast you! Then extract concessions!

Tough tasks, but it has to be done or else. . .

Not only was it harsh, it was probably the first time the world's press had decamped to Nigeria since the Biafran War. Most Westerners, until recently, would barely have known who Mr Jonathan was. As always, a few kids will rant about;

Do they allow Nigerian observers in US and UK? What is their business with us? They should LEAVE US ALONE!!

You guys should calm down, think, watch more CNN and read more bloomberg, economist etc. Watch less Africa Magic!!

If we had a working system, the International community would not need to come and oversee our elections. Think!
The UK, US etc elections and even some developing countries are usually hitch free with not a single incidence of fraud or violence.

Meanwhile, in Nigeria, ordinary the use of card readers and people are shitting their pants. why won't they come and monitor you?

Listen, you BEG the international community for AID, INVESTMENT, COLLABORATION amongst others. Brothers and sisters, if they are to oblige, they have to be sure that simple things like your electoral process is devoid of irregularities. And these are basic requirements when you are part of a United nations and a Global community!

So STOP crying about the west coming to monitor you! Fix up your act and they won't come!!
PoliticsRe: A Note On Pro-jonathan Abusers Of Fr. Mbaka By C. Don Adinuba by stronger:
Hmmmm. . .

As expected, there will be many ibos who will come and insult this writer, thus totally justifying his piece.

My advice: take a second and read. Just read and maybe it will make sense to you!

I am not an ibo politics expert but I have immense respect for Ibos. I however think they need to have a serious conversation TOGETHER as a people to chart a way out of the perceived "marginalisation" they face today!

I think they largely get their strategy wrong.

(1) APC is a sort of alignment between the SW and North. If Buhari wins, won't the Ibos be systematically sidelined? But no, they put all their eggs in the PDP basket IN SPITE of the clear failure of the GEJ admin.

(2) What's the actual benefit to the ibos of a GEJ admin? if he wins, in 2019, power will shift to the north and the Ibo presidency will be postponed to 2027 at best. If the Ibos had a stake in APC (besides Okorocha), maybe they could put forward their case for a 2023 presidency. As it is now, with a GMB victory imminent, that's gone.

(3) When last did GEJ visit the SE on campaign? We can't remember!! because the ibos so EASILY sold themselves without extracting some concessions. GEJ has taken the ibos for granted (sad truth). Even mama violence doesn't even go there. Here, I think maybe Ohaneze and/or APGA could have had a conversation and worked up a strategy to HOLD THEIR endorsement for a bit. make them come to you. Make APC come to you. Make PDP come to you. make them TOAST you and extract concessions from them. Now PDP is like, yeah we have the SE, screw them. APC is lie they are even few, we don't need them, screw them!

So I think the ibos first need to purge out the Hausa/Fulani hatred, have a CONVERSATION with themselves and then with the rest of the country.

Oh well, I am not an expert at this like I said, but just my 2 cents.
