There is no sensible judicial system in the world where witnesses are allowed to wear masks and testify against accused. How does a Defense lawyer scrutinize the witness masquerade?

Go and read John Grisham's The client, even if mafia lords are hunting for your head, you must testify as a witness OPENLY, that's non-negotiable. This will be fair to both the Defense and prosecution team.

After testifying the Govt can then allow you go into a Federal Witness Protection Program of you feel unsafe. That's how a sound federal judical system works.

The Defense also needs to scrutinize the Witness, how do they ask the important questions to a maquerade during scrutiny? It is their job to try and discredit the witnesses just as the prosecutors discredit the accused and if you don't allow them do it. Then the Judge is being biased. He has already condemned the accused ab initio.

On the other hand, Dollyak is also quite capable and from her posts, you can imagine she is reasonably well exposed in real life. However, I think she is a little childish in some of her utterances moreso with regards to parental wealth etc, a matter which is irrelevant to the discuss being engaged in. (I doubt if either of you two is incapable of holding their own in the real world). She has however to her own credit, apologised for her earlier comment which might have been misconstrued as a denigration of all northerners.

While I do not support the act of mocking people who have lost men to violence, you should understand Igbo psychology. Some Igbos do that because Nigeria killed 3 million of innocent children, women and men during the Civil war and when they complained they were told to stop blaming others for their problems and move on. Many even taunt Igbos with haunting images of kwashiokored children and threaten to repeat the carnage again.

If you were Igbo how would you see what is happening in Nigeria today especially as it has close resemblance to what led to the war and subsequent attempt at secession?
