I don't know why most bloggers keep saying trash about health niche. Some will say you can't be approved by adsense because you are not a physician, some will say google only want an expert in the particular field. Bunch of nonsense that will grab attention of newbie health bloggers and discourage the amateurs. How are you sure that a physician can even get approval?

I got adsense approval with my health blog- www.aliveandsturdy.com with just 6 posts in less 2 months. i don't go to medical school and i know few things concerning human health. So why we humans are so discouraging?

i made close to $150 last month and this month, i'm improving. For a novice like me to made it, so why can't and why won't you? Look, Human beings are so discouraging, do not let them turn you down. Start a healthblog today!!! The funniest thing about some people is that they don't use their wisdom in a right way. GoogleAdsense told you he doesn't want duplicate content, yet you will see some people applying for adsense with entertainment blogs. WHY? The thing is, they are not really fit for blogging and truely don't know their segment or niche.

At the 2nd Obong University Convocation ceremony held today, the 21st November. Miss Moureen Godfrey Akpaniwo emerge as the best graduating student for the 2013, 2014, and 2015 academic session. Miss Moureen bagged a first class in Economics with a CGPA of 4.51.

The ceremony gathered together dignitaries from all works of life and scholars to the university.
The present Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Honorable Commissioner for Education, Akwa Ibom state, Rt Hon. Aniekan Akpan, and the Chancellor of Knustford University College Ghana, Mr Douglas Boateng was in attaindance.

The convocation Lecturer was Professor Gabriel Ogunmola, who is the Chancellor of Lead City University and Chairman, Institute of Genetic Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine.
He delivered the 2nd Convocation Lecture of Obong University today by 2pm, which was titled “Public Private Partnership: The Role of Government in Developing and Sustaining Private Universities.

On speaking to the best graduating student "Miss Moureen Godfrey Akpaniwo", on her success, she said "Coming out with a first class comes with lots of challenges, but with hard work
and determination aimed towards one's goal, success can be archived. More so you must have PASSION in what you are studying, because passion is the key ingredient to success".

Further more, her advice to other students in the school, was "for them to work hard and always believe in them self, for this can get them to any height. Also they should make use of available opportunity that comes to them".

What if you have a popular blog or forum like nairaland and you the only one who knows admin pass of NL and hosting pass would the forum just die out or do you give your passwords to your family, friends before you die so tell me what are you doing to protect your popular blog/forum from extinction?

This is a nice and interesting issue all webmasters should really take into account, @Op you have spoken well, this is one of the reason why successful website just get lost after the owner is off the earth. You can only achieve success if your website lives on after you are no more and this is a measure that Nigerian webmasters are not taking seriously. On like the webmasters abroad, the will do all it takes to keep their site online even if they die.

For example the famous guy with the Crip template used on SMF, his dying wish was for his friends to keep his site online as long as they can. Nigerian webmasters should be able to do same for what they have worked so hard to achieve. Just imagine, in 50 years time, you grand child look through your dairy and saw Nairaland.com and tried to access it and all that comes up is this site does not exist.

@Op, to do this, you will need to groom a family member that is also be interested in your website, or work with a trusted friend that is willing to live your website dream.

Lol, Itumbunoso is in Ini local government area of Akwa ibom states and shares boundaries with Bende LGA of Abia states. They are great in farming,and they are the food basket of Akwa ibom state in the days. They have one of the unique dialect ever spoken in the world.

1)you got me wrong. A year old thread will need twice or more activity for it to hit the front page again but in your case any amount of activity will keep it. Ok, let me explain some implications of this. A user created a thread about wizkid song, the thread is about 1 year old and the song is no longer current, one guy finds the year old thread and just for fun types, "just passing", another user picks this up and quoted him "you are silly oh" another user quotes the second "no mind am" and so on. This thread activity increases a bit and it will hit front page with your system. I hope you get me now ?
2)lol, who will get tired of doing what will give him more traffic ?. Mind you if you are not smart, you might not detect the accounts and the chances are lower with 7 accounts or more and a high iq.
3)what if a user just comments "hmmm" to a 2 year old thread.
4)lol, its more better at the board. When a thread containing spam hits front page, probably 97% of people on your site will see it and about 40% might check it out, but when its on a board those are very low and a mod can easily delete them without them causing much damage.

ALSO IF MAKING FRONT PAGE IS VERY EASY IT WON'T FEEL TOO GREAT WHEN YOUR THREAD MAKES FRONTPAGE. YOUR SYSTEM ALSO CAN EASILY BE FOOLED.

1)A thread that is a year old that keeps getting frequent or normal posts will remain on your front page, it will be competing with current threads that do not have up to the number of posts the old thread receive. Do you know the implication of that ?

Hmm you are getting it wrong, it doesn't work like that, as the site get updated, older threads are move down instantly and the freshly updated take it rightful place, and if the older thread is hyper active, then its a plus to who ever stated the thread.

2)I can create a thread and also create 3 accounts and keep my thread on number 1 forever without you suspecting, any body can do that.

This will be true if the forum is not moderated, However you will get tired or probably be BANNED.

3)I can wake up one night and post on a 2 year old thread.

Then the 2 year old thread get more exposure, and probably your post could solve someone problem that might not have the well power to search the site.

4)Spams hitting front page nko ?

This make moderation lot easy, because such thread can easily be reported by members and moderator can X the thread.

The idea is good but it will make old posts continue to be on front page which will make visitors think you are not updating the site. That method should be within the boards in the site not front page.

Thanks for commenting, no old post will not remain on the home page but active post and even at that as fresh post are made the active ones are push down and if the are lucky to be comment/replied on the move up again and continue their journey down again as new post comes in. With this there is greater exposure and equal opportunity for your post to be read without going into the boards.

Even using such in the board is so yesterday. Not every latest replied topic should get to the top on front page or the board. @op email me i got an idea and an algorithm i will share with you.
