Kindly note the phrase "end of 2021". You don't know where onuachu will be by then oh. The osimhen we are hailing today, did not perform as this in the Belgium league. The truth is some players can dominate in the lower leagues but can't cut it in the higher leagues Osimhen has taken a step up and proved himself to be comfortable in two higher leagues than Belgium,Onuachu will have to do the same to even be in the conversation |

12large1: playing second fiddle to someone in Belgium league? Not happening. Make that guy go impress even at Farmers league before he can dethrone osimhen.
There's moi moi league, Turkey, belgium, Dutch, Russia, Scotland then there's farmers league France, Germany Then there's the Big 3 World class Spain, Italy and England
This is the yardstick to measure a player worthy of SE. Added to that Samatta scored loads of goals at Belgium but couldn't cut it in the EPL |

TheGoodJoe: I think he had the talent from scouting reports but Guardiola and his team have been working on him to develop it further. Coupled with training everyday with Ederson. It really rubbed off on him well. Wow I need him to master coming out for crosses that way he would provide something different to Ederson |

TheGoodJoe:
I feel Diaz working in City has affected Stones in a Positive way. I think he has learnt a lot training with Diaz and it will be tough for Laporte to displace Stones which is hard to believe. Yes I think Diaz has affected the whole Man city team, they are not jittery in possession and they calm down in 1-0 leads |

You gats to tell me you watched the footworks of Zack Steffen in City goal today. That guy is class with his legs. Got more tricks than Ederson. But, Ederson is far ahead with the long balls. Which makes Ederson get the nods from Guardiola more regularly. Steffen was very calm with his feet I think he learned from Ederson or Guardiola scouted it when he bought him? |

Notable figures for City.
Diaz, brutal in defence. Put in lots of brilliant blocks.
Stones was immense in build up plays
Boy, Gundogan can run for Jupiter.
De Bruyne magical as usual.
Cancelo was pure madness and showed immense skills. Diaz maybe the best defensive buy for Man city, Stones has shown determination to overtake Laporte and I think it’s because of the competition, Gundogan has proven been proving me wrong of recent |

TheGoodJoe: You are yet to get in the Paul Scholes groove. Men that guy is up there with Pirlo. Some may even argue tactically, he was ahead of Pirlo. No no I wouldn't take Pirlo slander this evening, I liken Paul Scholes to Ruben Neves their long shots overenhance their ability I think Scholes is very overrated |

TheGoodJoe: As in eh.
Pirlo was one of the best things to happen to football when it comes to controlling the game and distributing the ball
However, that generation had some insane Midfielders.
Pirlo, Zidane, Paul Scholes, Xabi Alonso, Ballack.
These guys were masters of the game. Pirlo messed up Ballack in that game, as for Paul Scholes and Xavi Alonso I don't rate them in the same bracket |

TheGoodJoe: You see those backwards and side passes you talk about, the decisions to make those passes are what makes Rodri a key to the team.
His main job is to enable build up plays which requires combinations with the defenders which are behind or by his sides.
Actually, Rodri has made loads of brilliant long passes this season. That is a big part of his game, especially when we are playing a high pressing side. Hmm what I know is I don't breathe well when Rodri is in the team, I can't wait till we get Zakaria |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzero047: 9:05pm On Jan 03, 2021 |
TheGoodJoe: However, Rodri will dominate with his clever play. Our game relies a lot on build up plays and Rodri brings a lot of movement during build up play which helps us keep possession and strike when spaces are created.
Sad I did not watch the game but the little I saw, he was decent.
Try to focus more on Rodri when we are in possession and controlling the game. You will get to see how good he is. Rodri in possession is overrated, when was the last time he gave a deeply penetrating pass he just usually passes sideways and he doesn't have the physicality to screen the defence in a case of a counter attack I think Pep may have overrated his ball playing abilities when he bought him but even at that you have to be physically strong and agile to protect a defence in the EPL |
