TheGoodJoe: I also thought Gundogan was better playing deep in the midfield because of his Dortmund days but it seems he is suited for an offensive midfield play. It is working for him. Guy Gundogan goes into beast mode when he sees the post, I think what restricted him was having to help Rodri but with Fernadinho he is free to burst forward |

TheGoodJoe:
As in eh. They are too good together. Their combined effort for the second goal was also explosive. Imagine what a good partner can do to a player, I knew Stones was good but I didn't know he was this good, people will think this 4-0 was an attacking masterclass but it was actually a defensive masterclass Man city without Diaz would have conceeded at 1-0 and end the game 1-1 |

TheGoodJoe: Stones and Dias have formed the best defensive partnership I have ever seen. Those two guys thrill me.
Gundogan is making us not miss David Silva so much. So energetic and brilliant.
Zinchenko complimented the midfield so well when he drifted into the middle repeatedly.
Fernandinho, Rock solid.
Highlight of the game, the introduction of Cancelo to play as a midfielder. Wow.
In the last game against Brighton, the commentator pointed out that Cancelo plays More as a midfielder than a side defender. In this game, we got a glimpse of what Cancelo can offer the team playing the ten role. He looked brilliant, although he was a bit out of place on the first few minutes. Gundogan is never a defensive midfielder restricted his game so much, giving him attacking opportunities has exploded him I wish Fernadinho was 5 years younger, We are winning the league |

Karlovic: Yes, he has filed for a switch to represent Nigeria. Ejaria and Adarabioyo are awaiting clearance too, it's roughly a year plus with a lot of administrative stuff being slow due to Covid-19. Hopefully their switch is completed before our next games in March. Don't waste your time with Komekn, if you ask him to highlight the particular thing NFF has done wrong he won't |

JohnBullMySon: even if he scores 40 goals, no club outside of Lyons range will still come for him . he just shortened the time he'll take to make it. don't worry, he'll start dropping goals. everyone is always skeptical of January transfers Because he's cursed or what? Finishing the season possibly winning the league and adding top goalscorer to his CV will get him clubs bigger than Lyon's range This is not the first time clubs bigger than Lyon have scooped up players in the Belgian league |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Subzero047: 8:42am On Jan 16, 2021 |
JohnBullMySon: why? so that he can break record in Belgium or what? there is no time to waste, he needs to get to France asap and prove his worth, there is still a goal post in France to continue from where he stopped. Na so e easy, did they actually scout him or was he a knee jerk buy? If he struggles in France this season is useless to him whereas if he ends the season as top scorer other clubs if not Lyon will still come for him |
