So are you telling me there are no 22 and 23 years olds that are still trying to knock on the doors of the 3 Lions?

How old were Omeruo, Musa, Iwobi, Ndidi, Iheanacho, Success, Chukwueze, Awaziem, Osimhen and the like when they got their debutes? All at teenage. So don't tell me "in the context of Nigeria". We have had exceptional teens that broke into the senior Team.

There are still some 21-23 years old Nigerian players that are still trying to break into the SE. And the Olympics could have been an opportunity for them to prove that abilities. That is my point.

Not all players blossom from teenage just like some players fizzle out after their teen age. Some start finding their footings from age 21 and beyond.

The U23 has always been a feeder team to the Super Eagles and it will always be.

Joel Obi was coming back from injury after some time out.

He never regained form again, not all players can get back to previous form after injury. It happened to Sturridge and l am now quite concerned for our once very promising RB Ebuehi.

I watched Joel and felt that he had lost form badly.

How can you in any way blame Gundogan there? He was clearly in his zone, in control of the ball, even signalled Mendy to return back to his zone. Mendy misplaced the pass.

So explain to me why you would blame Gundogan in any way.
