TheLoneCitizen: Football Italia on Osimhen
Sources close to Victor Osimhen confirm to Football Italia that the Lille striker will reject a move to Napoli, as he is waiting for a Premier League offer instead.
The Nigeria international visited the Napoli facilities, coach Gennaro Gattuso’s home and the house of President Aurelio De Laurentiis on the island of Capri.
He asked for a few days to think about it, but after weeks of charm offensive from both clubs and his entourage, the Nigeria international has decided against the transfer. Our sources close to Osimhen confirm he feels pressured into the move to Napoli, hurt by the fact his agent worked out all the details before asking for his opinion. It is not a rejection of Napoli per se, we are assured, but rather an internal issue with his entourage, Lille and the way the matter was handled.
Osimhen has his eyes on a Premier League move and is reportedly waiting for Arsenal or Manchester United to step forward. Napoli had been due to pay the €50m fee, with a huge salary, but the 21-year-old is not making this a move about money. He scored 18 goals in 38 competitive games for Lille this season, along with six assists.
Lille signed Osimhen from Charleroi for €14m a year ago. There were also reports in the French media today that Inter were making a bid for Osimhen, but that has already been discounted by both Sportitalia and our sources close to the player.
Their sources come from Nigeria by the way. He can play another season at Lille, won't hurt him one bit |

komekn: In my experience l disagree.
There are some things you can coach but the eye for goal and finishing for a 18 year old are outstanding.
It reminds me of a certain Rooney when he first came to train at Everton first team as a 16 year old.
I remember one of our Naija players telling me at that time. See one small boy deh disgrace old men for team, that he had to sit up SERIOUSLY in playing with him.
I have seen him play it's not a fluke, to shoot instinctively with such precision left and right foot with very little back lift and limited space. Huge part of his game |

Blueelf: Exactly....the EPL is more racist to me....the worse kind of racism is backdoor racism..You see as Vardy was on a poor run after the covid break and yet he kept starting games. If it were to be an African, he would have been benched after 2 blank games...
Some very Racist coaches dey England Like Aubameyang, Salah and Mane have been benched during their goal drought? |

Some very Racist coaches dey England Vardy is the club's highest goal scorer, the highest of the current season and on the verge of his 100th career goal and you think persisting with him is racism? |

humility33: so in Spain there is no racism? same Italy have the highest number of Africa immigrants and have over the years given some of the notably Africans most Nigerians the Italian passport...something the UK rarely do.... despite the economic contribution of Nigeria to the British economy.
the English press have a way of painting the English in good light whereas they racist to the core too..
same Spain know for racism a black man have coached a team in the la liga where as in England even their coloured ex-international's don't even stand a chance not even a black goal keeper Are you trying to prove racism is not in Italy by proving it exists more in Spain? |
