daveP: I hammered on this before the last afcon yet it seems its not yet considered serious yet.... And its unse-esque to not have these two dangerous abilities.
Danielnino00: I think Musa and Iwobi are decent enough...
But when it comes to long accurate crosses, can't think of anybody...
Moses's cross to Musa at the world cup was probably the last decent cross a super eagles player ever gave in a match... And it wasn't exactly accurate...
Funny because Moses cross was not a decent one, Musa did all the work
Jamilu Collins cross to Onyekuru was actually our last decent cross
Danielnino00: I have checked his stats for the season and compared it with Collin's. He is no where better than Collins... They are both poor crossers of the ball though, but for some other stats, Collins is better than him...
I don't see the point of inviting him if he can't offer something much better than Collins...
Is there anybody in SE that can actually cross the ball?
Who saw the pass fabinho laid for Salah's goal yesterday in Liverpool's match against crystal palace?? That's the kind of thing Ndidi should grow to do but I'm sure he'll get there
Yes he will get there, he can now make half field passes
komekn: Look at this boys technical ability touch and movement. And people still think English academies are all playing kick and rush. The Reading Fc youth teams dressing room feels like being in Lagos . Africans plenty and the music is not rock it's Afro beat.
Starboytwo: not even about sadiq really, but lets minus this season where dessers is the top scorer, where was he last season when he was 24 years old, nd 2 seasons ago when he was 23, you feel me... and if he was so damn good, he would not be moving to Genk now, after being the joint top scorer of the Eredivisie... he should be moving to the EPL, La liga, bundesliga, seria A, french league etc, ever wondered why he declared for us? or why belgium would rather lose a good quality centre forward? maybe cuz he is average IMO...
Now after comparing both on transfermarkt.com, i found out dessers is valued at 3.2m to sadiq 2.m, however we should not forget that around 2017, sadiq was valued just under a little below 3.m before the nosedive, at that particular time when dessers should be 23, we dont know his wherabouts...
dessers 25 years, total match is 167 games, 73 goals, 28 assist sadiq 23 years 141 games 77 goals 31 assist ( not including 6 apps nd 4 goals for the u23)
conclusion
what im trying to get at is that, he dosent really trump any of our forward players at the moment, what does he bring to the table? Can he dribble like chuks, lethal like osihmen, fast like simon or kalu, infact i prefer josh maja... but he is a powerfully built striker and had a good season.... lets see him at Genk please... but no matter what he achieve at Genk, he'd still need to move to a much bigger side... that was the move we expected now, i guess we'd have to wait another season or so....
sadiq on the other hand is interesting, can play, score, assist, weve known him since 'tey tey', when he was having troubles we know him, hes don the green and white, played for FC ROMA, been to the olympics and is being mooted for a bigger move, im sure bigger than Genk.... oh nd a 'proper nigerian.
What I gather from your writeup is that you are biased
What can Sadiq Umar do that Dessers can't do, besides Dessers is a more clinical finisher and what he was doing at 23,24 has no relevance to the present
Arabiandude: If both Umar and Dessers makes their respective moves to Lille and Genk and they both come good, Umar will be consider over Dessers because France is a much and far bigger league compared to Belgium. Indirectly I am saying Dessers shouldn't join Genk, he is Dutch league top scorer for 2019/2020 for God sake
IF Umar actually joins Lille, Dessers must have played one or two games before then so Umar will be waiting for a chance to displace Dessers
Club status does not automatically make you a starter
Arabiandude: If Sadik Umar goes to Lille and Dessers also moves to Genk, I am sorry to say that Umar will take Dessers position in the SE in the nearest future.
Though Genk is a bigger club compared to Heracles but Dutch league top scorer shouldn't be going to Genk, that's steps below. What happens to Moenchenglabach or Marseille or even Atalanta?
He was invited when he was playing for Heracles but he won't be invited when he is playing for Genk
Blueelf: Little amount and not the club I hoped for...I was looking at Ajax or one of the top3 in France but its like he was iberhyped here on this thread (the same way Kelechi Nwakali is)
