charlesemeka85: Former Arsenal winger Xavier Amaechi has been released by Hamburg.
The Hamburger Abendblatt reports the 20-year-old Englishman was released from training to hold talks with other clubs.
Amaechi spent part of last season on-loan with Karlsruher SC.
In the summer of 2019, Hamburg paid 2.5 million euros for the winger, making Amaechi the second most expensive purchase since relegation to the second division.
But the left-sided winger has struggled to make an impact over these two years with HSV. Wow |

fabyom: This Euros is so boring! The tournament is lacking technically gifted players! The Italians seem to be the most complete team which is quite surprising. The difference in quality between these countries and the top African teams is minimal. Germany vs Italy final (If both teams do not play each other before then). You didn't watch the Holland, North Macedonia game |

chrisooblog: I don't think it's the NFF per se that will be paying for the friendly and the bulk of the travel arrangements cos it doesn't make sense to fly a second string SE team all the way to America to play an inconsequential friendly tie especially in these covid times. That seems like a colossal waste of money considering that nothing usually out of it |

I think Rohr wanted Enyeama back and the NFF played along but Enyeama was not ready for their games. I have been thinking about this, I'm still putting 2 and 2 together, I will give my thoughts when the time comes

TheGoodJoe: Rodri plays very high up the field. Not as defensive as you think. Manchester City controls the ball for a large part of the game with the ball high up the field.
Rodri has the job to locate build up spaces and keep the ball flowing. Which is what I noticed Onuachu doing which impressed me.
It was about movement to cover gaps during buodl up and using the gaps during offense.
That was why I said like watching Rodri play attack.
Hard to find a striker that plays that way. It was a bit new to me,that was why I was OVER IMPRESSED. Ok |

TheGoodJoe: I noticed Onuachu reading and playing the game the way Rodri does and I should compare him with an attacker.
Na wa. Oya, tell me an attacker that moves like the way Rodri plays, let me compare.
Jesu. Rodri's anticipation is defensive while Onuachu's is offensive that's what I'm trying to say, it would have made more sense to me if you compared his abilities to an offensive player |

TheGoodJoe:
To enjoy Onuachu, you need to watch Rodri. I refer to him as the Rodri of attack. It is not about pace but anticipation which Onuachi does well.
You don't need all that pace if you can anticipate the spaces and explore them. This could be brushed out on the tactical boards and drills. When he is in sync with the team, they can anticipate his movement, get the ball to him. All he will need to do is to read his pass earlier.
His job is to help break the press and help the team get into position for their possessive play with less pressure. Onuachu and Rodri, that's a new one |

jihday: A 24 years old defender with over 5 years of experience at the highest level can't be considered raw again, how old is Saliba, kounde, etc those are the ones you can call raw (and nobody even call them that), a 24 years old defender that is prone to mistakes and lack of concentration isn't good enough. Although he may eventually get better but no proper club will pay money for uncertainty. Everybody grows at their own pace, 24 is still young for a defender if he polishes up his defending in the next 1,2 years then good for him but he needs a club to help him do so |
