Segeggs: what goof? If not that our reasoning as nigerians has been so bastardized by our corrupt leaders that we can't see how the president's visit is connected to the robbery(not saying he perpetrated it).
Robbers of such calibre do not operate without solid information. How well do you think they can operate when they get info from the police themselves about how majority of their men will be at alert concerning the president's visit? Maybe these robbers have been studying the trend of mr president's visit and must have noticed how concentrated on him the nigeria police are whenever he visits any state, a thing they took advantage of.
It's just so sad that here in nigeria, we ignore little signs that might lead to the solving of big cases.
Illiterates everywhere. There is no need to say illiterates every where because of your opinion which can be better described as a fallacy. There were police men stationed in that zone for security purposes out of which three were killed. Assuming the president was not in Lagos, and men of the police force were deployed from Alausa, would the robbers not finish their robbery before the arrival of the police? Fashola is a serial unguarded statement maker. |

GEJ in Lagos or not, there is always serious traffic because of influx of cars into the roads due to mismanagement and inefficiencies of BRT. Blame you APC governor for the traffic. |

Politics › Re: I Unilaterally Called The War On Boko Haram, Not Jonathan, Chad’s Idriss Deby by successking: 4:59pm On Mar 06, 2015 |
legendsilver: Chadian president Idriss Deby has claimed that Chad unilaterally decided upon the much celebrated committed war against Boko Haram this January, the resolute action not being the decision of Nigeria’s Jonathan and with the Nigerian president even stalling the process at every turn. Nigeria’s Goodluck Jonathan had claimed that after five years of tolerating the sect that killed thousands, he finally this January embarked on the serious effort to defeat Boko Haram to make him more electable and to allow voting in occupied territory; however the Chadians have said that this real war against the terrorists was decided upon unilaterally by Deby in reaction to Boko Haram obstructing Chad’s trade routes with Nigeria and the economy of the landlocked nation. Quoting from Reuters’ report: Officials from Chad, Niger and Cameroon say lack of cooperation from Nigeria has for months hampered efforts to put together a regional taskforce against Boko Haram. Chad was compelled to take unilateral action in January, under a deal that allows it to pursue terrorists into Nigeria, after Boko Haram violence started to choke off imports to its economy. But for a country proud to be a major African power, it would be an embarrassment to President Goodluck Jonathan as he seeks reelection for a smaller nation to tackle Nigeria’s security problems, diplomats say. Chad has been ready to press deep into territory controlled by the Islamist group but Nigeria refused to let them. We turned back because Nigeria did not authorise us to go any further,” army spokesman Colonel Azem Bermandoa said. But the Chadians say there have been no joint operations between the two forces. Nigeria has for months hampered efforts to put together a regional taskforce against Boko Haram. Nigeria’s military spokesperson, General Chris Olukolade Wednesday denied the Chadian claims of Nigeria stalling Chadian aggression against the terrorists, stating that the Nigerian side has no qualms with the Chadians but leads the mission to liberate the nation. The revelations from Chad appear to be fueling distrust, suspicion and tensions between Nigeria and its neighbors and dis-credits the leader of Africa’s most populous nation and a nation that was prior credited as having one of the best armies in Africa. President Jonathan is yet to react to Chad’s claims of the small country having been unilaterally behind the the drive to liberate Nigeria from the grasp of Boko Haram. After Chad engaged Boko Haram in Dikwa, Nigeria chased Chad out with the excuse that the Nigerian side planned to drop bombs on Boko Haram in Dikwa. Chad later claimed Boko Haram leader, “Abubakar Shekau” escaped at Dikwa with the Nigerian intervention, and Chad’s president personally warned Shekau that the Chadians knew where he went to and will soon get him.

senatorbayor: your analysis on budget was very wrong and i feel you dont really understand what is the function of budget, budgeting and budgetory controls A budget is a proposal of a financial plan for a year and it is based on so many indices of the workings of the economy but in the actual, you are either expected to surpass your plan or otherwise and the former is always an assessment for a performance as against the latter which is a deficit. A Govt may budget for 4trillion and make above 10 trillion. Soludo was right to have said 30 trillion was missing as his premise was on 400,000 barrels of crude oil confirmed by the present govt to be missing on a daily basis, the missing NNPC fund and the subsidy scam where people are paid for fictitious import of crude oil that was never supplied running to trillions of Naira. On the issue of Abdulkareem's criticism on OBJ govt, the guy went too far. you cannot be running down your country thru songs when children are still trying to memories the content of the National anthem and pledge, where is the abdulkareem in his musical career now,he should have tow the lines of Tuface,Dbanj and others notable artist who use their talents to build nations rather than bringing it down. Am sure GEJ would scold Abdulkareem also if it were to be today that that song was sang. Abdulkareem wanted to fly high in his musical career through the bringing of his nation down and he later choose to go on SELF EXILE as no one sent him Do you mean to say that Nigeria has been running on surplus budget all these years? Respond or stay from topics you lack knowledge. |
