So which youth is ready for 2015 and will be widely accepted?
Great Nigeria need transition not radical change, so we need to start somewhere to get somewhere.
I'm not saying you should vote Buhari, vote who you think will make Nigeria better.
I just want to give a new hand a chance to see what they can offer. We can't continue to do the same thing the same way and expect a different result. I've seen deaths, no light yet we pay, soaring prices of goods and expected soaring price of petroleum product next year and you expect me not to vote for change? I will have to sleep and have a rethink. At this time in our national life, we cannot afford leave the development of infrastructure we are yearning for in the wind of chance. And nigeria citizen must save nigeria from turning to west africa zimbabwe. Even america citizen don allow a party rule for more than 8 years while nigerian allow the corrupt and visionless party rule for period of 16 years without nothing to show for it. Nigeria must stand up and fight for true democracy. Lead the fight. Get a stainless candidate from a stainless party and the change will come. Stay away from APC if you don't want to apply for residence permit to reside in Nigeria as a Nigerian citizen. |

caterpillar: I concur with your argument, that young, vibrant and creative mind is needed in this country but I want to say that, the Nigeria political terrain will not accept anyone new to take up the mantle except the popular actors in the space. PDP have ruled Nigeria for so many years with no meaningful change and I see APC redefining that in the coming years and giving us the creative young leader that we need with time, their Governors across states in Nigeria should tell you where they will be taking us to in the nearest future. I'm not really a party partizan but I desire good life for Nigerians made by Nigerians. We have suffered enough, lets give another head a chance and lets see what they can do.
Nigerians should not be scared of change, the result might be good and it might be bad but lets give it a try so that we don't continue to wallow in suffering. From what i have seen from the educational sector of the states under APC leadership, Lagos, Ogun, Ekiti etc, school fees were increased beyond the reach of poor Nigerians. Therefore a vote cast in favour of APC is a waste! Buhari's time has passed and so cannot be president again. |

Buhari is certainly the people's general, he is as gentle as a lamb, yet harder than an iroko. A dependable honest and incorruptible man, capable of rescuing Nigeria from cluelessness, ineptitude and wickedness in high places.

Buhari is miles ahead of President Jonathan. President Jonathan was still in Otueke going to school without shoes when Gen Buhari was president. I am delighted to be part of the party partly founded by Buhari.
- Femi Fani-Kayode (while he was still in APC)

E Pesuzok: calm down on this long epistle and what you think. Lets follow the constitution.
Assuming there is a division in sokoto PDP based on tambuwal reason, will he vacate his seat or not?
(g) being a person whose election to the House was sponsored by a political party, he becomes a member of another political party before the expiration of the period for which that House was elected;
Provided that his membership of the latter political party is not as a result of a division in the political party of which he was previously a member or of a merger of two or more political parties or factions by one of which he was previously sponsored
so PDP should get a fresh induction to show that there is really no division in PDP before asking for tambuwal to vacate, not bring forward an old injuction How does internal wrangling in a state chapter of a political party cause a division? Why don't you advise Tambuwal to resign his position as speaker until the court determines his membership status? Base on the section of the constitution you quoted above, it becomes clear to a sound mind that Tambuwal ceased to be a member of House of representative at has defection. Therefore this issue of eating your cake and fighting to have it must stop. |

coolguyz: It only shows you have never read that provision of the constitution and reason you spew what you have little understanding of.
A house of rep member is expected to vacate his seat if he cross carpet provided the reason for cross carpeting is not a s a result of division, merger or factions in the sponsoring party he is defecting from.
This literally tells you that you would need a competent court to determine if there is crisis in PDP to warrant a member defect without losing their seat.
lets read the law appropriately! So after his defection without division in PDP as ajurdicated by a federal high court, you want him to remain a speaker in the house membership he forfeited by virtue of his defection? And you think it will not mean a gross violation of 1999 constitution? You need to read that section of the constitution again! |
