LiteratureThe Special Two Letter Word!!! by sugarboii(op): 8:53pm On Apr 04, 2015
I'm sure you will enjoy this. One word in the English language that could be a noun, verb, adj, adv, prep is UP. Read until the end...
..
This two-letter word in English has more meanings than any other two-letter word....
.
It's easy to understand UP, meaning toward the sky or at the top of the list, but when we awaken in the morning, why do we wake UP?.
.
At a meeting, why does a topic come UP? Why do we speak UP, and why are the officers UP for election (if there is a tie, it is a toss UP) and why is it UP to the secretary to write UP a report? We call UP our friends, brighten UP a room, polish UP the silver, warm UP the leftovers and clean UP the kitchen. We lock UP the house and fix UP the old car.
.
At other times, this little word has real special meaning. People stir UP trouble, line UP for tickets, work UP an appetite, and think UP excuses.
To be dressed is one thing but to be dressed UP is special.
.
And this UP is confusing: A drain must be opened UP because it is blocked UP.
.
We open UP a store in the morning but we close it UP at night. We seem to be pretty mixed UP about UP!.
.
To be knowledgeable about the proper uses of UP, look UP the word UP in the dictionary. In a desk-sized dictionary, it takes UP almost 1/4 of the page and can add UP to about thirty definitions.
.
If you are UP to it, you might try building UP a list of the many ways UP is used. It will take UP a lot of your time, but if you don't give UP, you may wind UP with (UP to) a hundred or more.
.
When it threatens to rain, we say it is clouding UP. When the sun comes out, we say it is clearing UP. When it rains, it soaks UP the earth. When it does not rain for awhile, things dry UP. One could go on and on, but I'll wrap it UP, for now...... my time is UP!
ALWAYS BELIEVE AND LOOK UP TO GOD IN HIS MIGHTY POSITION UP THERE, YOU WILL SURELY SUCCEED AND GO UP ABOVE YOUR ENEMY.....!!!!!!!

Ozi Akerele, aged 24, of Richmond Street, Stoke, Coventry, is missing. He's a Nigerian student who has only been in the city for a few weeks.

Police are searching for a Coventry student who hasn’t been seen since he went on a night out in the city.

Officers are becoming “increasingly concerned” after Ozeivo Andrew Akerele, 24, went missing in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The Nigerian, who had only been in the country for a few weeks and was studying at Coventry University, was last seen by friends at the Iglu Club in Spon Street at around 3.30am on January 31.

Known as Ozi the 24-year-old, who lives in Richmond Street, Stoke, is described as black, 6ft 2ins tall and of slim build.

When he was last seen he was wearing jeans, blue and white converse trainers and a grey/black zip-up jacket.

Supt Chris Edwards, from Coventry Police, said: “We believe that Ozi made a call asking to be picked up by Coventry University in the early hours of Saturday 31 January. However, when his lift arrived he was not there and has not been seen since.

“His family are extremely concerned as this is very out of character for him.

“He would not know the area particularly well and we are appealing to anyone who has seen Ozi or knows of his whereabouts to call their local police with details.

“We just want to make sure that he is safe and well.”

If anyone has any information then please call Coventry police on 101.

Nairaland GeneralPiglet Born With Human Face, Joystick On Its Head (viewer's Discretion) by sugarboii(op): 9:37am On Feb 10, 2015
https://i.cdnnaij.com/o/sIzQnpWkENgT9aaOQoYypRho.jpg

Distubing photos of an unusual piglet with a human face and a penis on its head went viral, attracting visitors and those wishing to buy a mutant.

Tao Lu, a farmer from the city of Nanning, China, was shocked one of his pigs delivered 19 piglets with one of them severely deformed. After pictures of the mutant appeared in local media, friends, neighbours and curious visitors from all over the country flooded Lu’s farm.

Most of the witnesses were struck by the fact that the animal was born with a human face and a penis. Some of them offered large sums of money in exchange for the pig but it died shortly after being rejected by its mother and refusing a bottle.
https://i.cdnnaij.com/o/XA113TYueNLvRJmljTWzPAKi.jpg

Speaking about the bizarre piggy the farmer said, “It was a large litter, and the mutant was one of the last of 19 piglets to be born. All the others were normal, just this one was really bizarre.

It is a shame it died, I could have got more money for it than for the rest of the family put together based on what people were offering me on the phone.”
One of the locals who saw the live, Wu Kung, 32, said, “I was one of a dozen people who went there to see the piglet, and it really did have human face and exactly like he said, a penis growing out of its forehead.”

This is not the first case of mutation in animal: a piglet who was born with 8 legs, a lamb born with four eyes, two noses and two mouths, a cyclop lamb with only one eye, two-headed snake and many more.
PoliticsEligibility Suit: Jonathan, Buhari Legal Battles Begin by sugarboii(op): 7:42am On Feb 10, 2015
Appeal Court to determine case against President
Buhari filled APCP as party in INEC form – Plaintiff
At separate courts, President Goodluck Jonathan and All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday began legal battles in suits challenging their eligibility for the March 28, 2011 presidential elections.
While Buhari has two cases filed against him by two practitioners, Mr. Max Ozoaka and Mr. Chukwunweike Okafor, Jonathan has three suits seeking the same prayer before the Federal High Court.
In the case against the President’s eligibility for re-election before Justice Ahmed Mohammed of the Federal High Court, Abuja, the judge yesterday referred it to the Court of Appeal in Abuja for determination.
With the verdict, there are now two cases pending before the appellate court challenging Jonathan’s eligibility to seek another term in office.
Justice Mohammed gave the referral order following an application filed on November 28, 2014 by Adejumo Ajagbe and Olatoye Wahab, the plaintiffs in the suit.
Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr. Mohammed Adoke, a defendant in the suit, however opposed the application for referral while the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, the second defendant did not oppose the application.
The court had hardly started hearing the substantive case when the plaintiffs asked it to refer the matter to the Appeal Court on the grounds that the suit involved a substantial “question of law” which only the superior court can make pronouncement on.
One of the cases against the President at the Appeal Court is filed by Cyriacus Njoku, challenging the ruling of Justice Mudashiru Oniyangi of the Federal High Court, Abuja that Jonathan is eligible to stand for re-election.
At the mention of the cases against Buhari yesterday, an array of renowned lawyers appeared for both the defendants and the plaintiffs.
Ozoaka specifically asked Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja to disqualify Buhari from the presidential race because a copy of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Form FC001 he filled showed that he entered the name of his political party as All Progressive Congress Party, APCP, a non-existing party instead of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He also prayed the court to disqualify Buhari because the Permanent Voter Card, PVC issued to him by INEC revealed that his occupation was listed as civil servant which, according to the plaintiff, is false as he ceased to be a public officer since his retirement from the Nigerian Army.
At the proceedings, Buhari’s legal team was led by Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN; Chief Akin Olujinmi, SAN; Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; Chief Emeka Ngige, SAN; Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN; James Ocholi SAN; Funke Aboyede, SAN and Chief Femi Falana, SAN, while Chief Ade Okeaya Ineh, SAN; Chief Godwin Obla, SAN and Ken Njamanze, SAN appeared for the plaintiff.
There were also Mr. Ajayi Olowo, Abdulhameed Mohammed and Mohammed Ibrahim who brought applications from their clients seeking to be joined as defendants in the suit.
Olanipekun told the court that in view of the addendum published by the plaintiff in the newspapers in compliance with the orders of the court on substituted service of the court’s processes, that time started counting for the defence team last Friday and that they are within the time to file their processes before the court.
He told the court that Buhari is challenging the competence of the entire suit and the court’s order for substituted service which gave rise to the publications.
“We are here in protest. We only came to court for two reasons: Our client, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has utmost respect for this court and we, as officers in the temple of justice, have a duty to come here and offer assistance to this court. We are filing our processes at the court’s registry and we are challenging the legality of this court’s orders as well as the competence of the suit.
The case is not even “ripe for mention as it is,” Olanipekun said.

Ozoaka wants Buhari disqualified on the grounds of non-compliance with the constitutional requirements for candidates’ eligibility to contest for the presidential election.
Nigerian Pilot recalls that the controversies surrounding the alleged non-inclusion of Buhari’s certificate in the forms submitted to INEC, had given rise to a series of cases seeking his disqualification from the presidential election.
Ozoaka also averred that Buhari should be disqualified from the race on the ground that the party under on whose platform he claims to be running for the Presidency is not a registered political party in Nigeria.
A copy of the Buhari’s INEC Form FC001 shows that he entered the name of his party as All Progressive Congress Party, APCP, instead of All Progressives Congress, APC.
Another ground he is seeking Buhari’s disqualification is that the permanent voter card issued to him by INEC showed that the APC’s candidate’s occupation was listed as civil servant which, according to the plaintiff, was false as the retired General ceased to be a public officer since his retirement from service.
Ozoaka also wants Buhari disqualified for allegedly lying under oath following claims he made in his INEC forms that his secondary school certificate is with the military authorities which claims have been denied by the Nigerian Army.
Another suit filed by one Mr. Chukwunweike Okafor, praying for Buhari’s disqualification was also heard yesterday by Justice Ademola, who adjourned both cases to Monday, February 23, 2015 for hearing of applications for joinders filed in the suits.
INEC’s legal team comprised Mr. Adebgoyega Awomolo, SAN (who led INEC’s Chief Legal Consultant), Hassan Liman, SAN, Mrs. Victoria Awomolo, SAN among many others.
When the case was mentioned,
Obla said that his client had complied with an ex-parte order of the court dated February 2, 2015 to serve Buhari with court processes via newspaper publications.
He said that the second defendant, INEC, had responded and that he also received two fresh applications from parties seeking to be joined in the suit.
Obla said that he was not opposed to the joinder applications, adding that he needed a short adjournment to enable him reply to all the processes he received.
Also, INEC’s counsel, Awomolo sought for time to enable his client to file a memorandum for conditional appearance, having filed and served all parties with his counter-affidavit.
Justice Ademola fixed February 23 to enable the court to take all pending applications and hear the case.
The judge had earlier in the day fixed the same date to hear another suit challenging Buhari’s eligibility filed by Okafor.
Ozoaka (plaintiff in the first case), in his suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/14/2015, via an originating summons, is also seeking an order restraining the INEC from permitting Buhari to run for presidency in 2015.
The plaintiff is also wants a declaration that by the combined provisions of Sections 31(1)(2) and (3) of the 2010 Electoral Act and INEC Form CF 001, Buhari is mandatorily obliged to strictly comply with their provisions.
This, he argued, had to do with Buhari’s filing and submission of INEC Form CF 001, without attaching evidence of educational qualification as required, which was an offence under Section 31 of the Act.
The plaintiff, therefore, prayed the court to declare that Buhari is not eligible to participate in the 2015 presidential election for failure to comply with the terms for submission of list of candidates for the election.
The presidential election has been shifted to March 28 by INEC

Yorùbá mothers are one of
the best when it comes

mothers produce the
best range of slaps: IGBATI,
IFOTI, IGBAJU,
IGBARUN, IFORUN, IFAKUN,
ILADI, ABARA. These
slaps will make you think you
were adopted. IGBATI
will make you correct your
wrongs instantly! The
beauty of IFOTI is, you will
confess your sins on the
spot. IGBARUN, IGBAJU and
IFORUN will make you
expose those who committed
the crime with you
without hesitation. ABARA and
ILADI will make you
pee in your new pants. Now
ABARA is the worst...
And apart from IGBAJU, we
have an advanced one
which is IGBAJU OLOYI. When
you receive that one,
you'll lose balance and your
head will go into "auto-
search" as you'll be looking
for what hit you. This
will make you do all the
actions of the other slaps
aforementioned at once! OH!
IGBAJU OLOYI... it can

God bless our parents for

https://i0.wp.com/www.savethesouthwest.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Buhari-in-a-Train.jpg?zoom=3&resize=720%2C350
For a long time, members of the All progressives Congress (APC) have desperately been claiming that the government of President Goodluck Jonathan has not achieved anything in the nearly six years it has been in office.

To replace him, they have projected serial presidential aspirant, General Mohammadu Buhari to replace him in the February 14 elections.

But it is interesting to note that Buhari and his team in APC have been able to travel to their campaign grounds in some parts of the country via the newly rehabilitated railway system which is initiatives of the Jonathan government.

Recall that the same rail transport system was destroyed and practically left for dead by General Buhari during his sojourn as military Head of State.

People are wont to ask: What if President Jonathan had not taken the bull by its horns to breathe life back into the rail system?

Would Buhari have been able to attend his rallies where he takes ample time to discredit the achievements of President Jonathan?
While commissioning new trains last year, The president had lamented the total neglect of such a critical system of transport by successive governments. Although he did not mention names, every Nigerian knows it was Buhari’s government that destroyed the Nigerian Railway Corporation between 1984 and 1985.

Speaking during that ceremony, President Jonathan has promised that “The step is aimed at resuscitating and revitalising Nigerian railway which had suffered neglect for decades.”

That decade began when Buhari was in power.

But strangely, the same Buhari is riding on one of those trains to campaign for election to replace the same man who had brought the trains back to life after he had sent them to the gallows.

Britain's most expensive one-bedroom flat pictured above has gone on the market for £10million which is exactly N2,868,651,600 in Naira.
The luxury flat at One Hyde Park has been dubbed the ultimate 'pied-a-terre' and is so expensive that a simple waste bin takes up £6,300 (N1,806,773) worth of space.
But there will be no room for guests at the property, which is regarded as the finest one-bedroom home in the world's priciest apartment block.

The lower level of the duplex apartment is the sleeping area and boasts a huge double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Upstairs is for socialising, with the area dominated by an open-plan living and dining room. There is also a separate toilet.
The one-bedroom apartment, in Knightsbridge, has now been put on the market for £9.9 million - 56 times the average house price in England and Wales. It works out at £6,300 per square foot and is £4.3 million more than the next most expensive one-bedroom property in the capital.

And while large properties have sold for this £ per sq/ft price before, figures from LonRes, which tracks the property market, has a top one-bedroom price of £5,035 per sq/ft.
The kitchen, which measures a modest 12'11 x 8'10, takes up around £700,000 of space - the same amount as a large family home in most cities. t said that the same amount used in purchasing the apartment can be used to by 47 home or a street in Manchester.

After executing 13 young boys for watching football, the Islamic State religious police have been filmed beating musicians and destroying their instruments as punishment for playing an 'un-Islamic' keyboard.

The men were pictured being hit across the back and legs with a wooden stick in a public square after ISIS's fanatical Islamic enforcers ruled the electric keyboard was 'offensive to Muslims'.
The pictures shared on a file sharing website also shows two keyboards smashed to pieces after raids thought to have taken place in Bujaq, a few miles to the east of Aleppo in Syria

CrimeNiger Protesters Set Churches On Fire [see Photos] by sugarboii(op): 8:54am On Jan 18, 2015

At least two churches have been set on fire in the capital of Niger amid fresh protests against French magazine Charlie Hebdo’s cartoon depicting Prophet Muhammad, BBC reports.
Saturday’s protests began outside Niamey’s grand mosque with police using tear gas a day after at least four were killed in the second city of Zinder.
The French embassy had warned its citizens to stay indoors before now.

Last week, Islamist gunmen killed 12 people at the magazine’s Paris office.
Eight of them were journalists, with subsequent attacks in Paris, which killed another five people, four at a Jewish supermarket.
The cover of the magazine’s latest edition, published after the attack, featured a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad weeping while holding a sign saying “I am Charlie”.

Seven million copies of the edition are being printed in view of extraordinary demand, distributors announced on Saturday. The magazine’s print run before the attack was 60,000.
Many Muslims see any depiction of Islam’s prophet as offensive.
Protests against the magazine were also seen on Friday in Pakistan, where protests turned violent in Karachi, the Sudanese capital of Khartoum and the Algerian capital, Algiers.

People in Somalia took to the streets today as well.
In Niger, a former French colony, hundreds of demonstrators gathered at Niamey’s grand mosque, shouting “God is Great” in Arabic.
At least two churches were set on fire – similar to Friday’s demonstration in Zinder where protesters also raided shops that were run by Christians.
The French cultural centre in Zinder also came under attack.
